I wish you could’ve recorded the entire making of the bellhop while the story was being told in the background
Are you going to try to make it into a game?
Love that we're getting a story for the Mutant Universe! Also, I would love to see some of the characters having glow in the dark eyeballs 😁
Your best seller would be a Hidden World Adult Coloring Book. Coloring books for adults, to help with anxiety and stress relief, sell over 12 million books a year. Coloring as a coping skill, or "relaxing technique," was first used by psychologist Carl G. Jung in the early 20th century. The longevity of the technique is a testament to its effectiveness. I believe they would sell, because the vast majority of us can't afford to use the technique by painting a sculpture we just made, as you do.
I just love your creations! It's so cool! Can't wait to see more! But of course, take care of yourself first, health is more important
Well here’s the thing, the bellhop was actually meant to be in little nightmares funnily enough but he was cut so I appreciate you actually trying to bring him back into the “little nightmares” mutant universe
This isn't little nightmares anymore, it's something else now
@@dull_demon4717 I’m aware I’m just saying that as a general statement, but thank you though, I have now changed it👍
@@Choujifangirl the character was actually the bellman, who would've looked a lot different to what Ace has made
@@dull_demon4717 Yes but that's what it started as and it keeps that aesthetic
@@yeet648 the only thing thats the same is horror and creepy adults, wdym?
“A figment of the imagination with a real presence” that is one of the eeriest things I’ve ever heard I love it.
Anyone else feel a huge Tim Burton vibe off of this series? It’s so perfect I could see an amazing claymation movie to terrify children with for decades.
The vibes actually come from the "little nightmares" game art style as that's what the first "mutants" were; his little nightmare OCs
The Bellhop came out soooo cool, I love it! The gold detail on the cute skull buttons and trim really sold the look for me. Also you nailed the facial hair, his moustache looks perfect! I am looking forward to more sculptures and more storytelling 🥰
Subbed 4 years ago after watching: "Turning a Duck Figurine into an Alien Monster Fish" I have enjoyed your content ever since and am pleased to hear of this step and story telling you are venturing into. I hope it it a huge success for you and open new doors of opportunity for such a creative and talented sculptor.
You left one of the most positive, thoughtful, and sweetest of comments. :)
Your Mutant Universe story and character series is ah-mazzzing! Love love please do more! ❤
On the one hand, his face alone makes me shiver, but then he has the cutest little skull buttons!!! 💀
Amazing job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
He is awesome 😊and I can't wait to see more. The Hidden World is awesome. Keep it up Ace. Your really on to something here...don't forget the things that go bump in the night the hollow woman and soulless man...the hotel guests are versions of our own nightmares.
Love your work, it isn't easy stepping into another side of your own imagination.
So glad you came out of the closet 😄
But seriously, looks so much more professional than looking at your collection in an actual closet behind you.
Giving me hotel California vibes but on a creepier scale. I love this character expresses it perfectly
Interesting story! Definatly one of my favorite sculpts so far. I love the time you took showing creating all the details, especially in the face.
The Mutant Universe is so cool. You've actually inspired me to start sculpting again, backstories and comics and all! Really love your work. ❤
(Bellhop reminds me of Eggman from the Sonic movies)
OMG! It does look like Eggman. I didn't even notice. 😮
This world deserves a claymation film someday.
He's both awsome and terrible! I love the evolving backstory of this hidden world and though I'm not fond of horror movies I would watch it if it ever got that far.
This genuinely feels like one of your best sculptures to date. You can see the time and love that went into every detail, and your skill has clearly grown!
This world has come so far...I'm so happy for and proud of you, my dude! Your nightmare characters have come a long way from when you first started this series making Little Nightmares OCs, and I'm excited to see the story unfold even more, and learn more about this world you've created!
Love it, definitely one of best figurines. Excellent attention to facial detail ❤
It's giving me Coraline/Paranorman vibes 😍 love it!
This looks so much like a Courage the Cowardly Dog Character. Good job.
I loved the story Ace Of Clay! The bellhop looks incredible too! I’m loving the mutant universe/ the hidden World Series! You are just sooo talented! I’m also into art projects but I’ve never sculpted anything before! Awesome job!❤❤❤
Wow… he has got to be in my top 3… man he is awesome! Love the story, very promising for the next chapters 😉🙌
The video miniature 🤩
Please collab with a game maker!! I’d legit pay to play a game like little nightmares with your charecters!!!
Your Mutant Universe story and character series is ah-mazzzing! Love love please do more! ❤
AHHHHHH!!! We officially have a name for the Mutant U?!?! Totally digging “The Hidden World” 😍 This universe is by far the most intriguing, original and immersive collection of characters and storylines. The artwork is incredible, the mutants and guides are extremely interesting, and I cannot wait for this to become a graphic novel + multi season animated series + video game!!
I knew him in his former life! A perfect caricature of an old Scottish former gardener and ex military man (RAF) called Alastair. Except that Alastair was sweet and kind, not terrifying like the Bellhop. Great job Andy.
When are you going to do a stop motion from The Mutant Universe, eh?!?!?
Also, I've been subbed for a long time and I'm finally going to take a crack at sculpting. To start with, what would be the best/easiest clay for a beginner to work with?
This should become a graphic novel or a motion-stop movie... I love the story.
I love the title The Hidden World for your mutants, nicely done on your bellhop. I wonder what other mutant we might see, until then see you next time.
Ace I love your work you are a true artist I give you an applaud I also think more anti mutants wold be cool.
Remember when these videos/sculptures were inspired by the “Little Nightmares” Giant monsters?
I do.
This could be such an awesome animated TV show. A group of heroes allied with the guides fighting each one of the mutants per episode. Would be amazing. I can just picture the Bellhop's guttural moans and sickening screeches as he hypnotizes people.
It's hard to think this whole series had started with Little Nightmares 2 and then 3 years later its getting a plot line. I'm so excited for this!
Somehow, I feel like you might have gotten the inspiration from Dr. Eggman (it's the body structure and mustache)
The Bellhop reminds me of a time when my friends and I took a summer trip together and stayed at little sketchy motel. We reached the motel at around 11 PM and we see a sign that says “Watch Out for the Night Clerk!” The sign seemed so ominous that we joked the whole weekend about the slender-man-like Night Clerk sneaking into our rooms at night to tuck us in.
such a cool character and I'm loving the story. I was part of a table top rpg where we started as humans investigating a mysterious death(s) and we found this door that drew you in. We kept hearing the phrase "the Hungry Door is Open" we ended up walking through it and ended up in Arcadia the land of the Fae and our next game was us returning to our world as Changelings
I wonder how he came to work for the entity. That's no normal backstory for him to be it's harbinger and recruiter.
Can you incorporate a "cute clay thursday" once a month or something. I love your stuff but an upper plus you could make dreams come true.
me trying to throw on some youtube to fall asleep to some background noise but ace of clay is quite literally building the most entertaining character universe
Hello ace I think that you should make a dead by daylight character probably one of the killers but you could make the survivors too
It would be cool if you got someone to 3d scan your sculptures and rigged them for animation, then you could have an animated series for your story.
*Well, you stamp them. I sculpt differently*
I love this guy, love how much colour is in his design, and I LOVE the gold detailing. Seriously, this character could slip right into a Henry Selick movie.
I swear this should be a video game or comic book series with our main hero start to finish in defeating the entity and hidden world can’t wait for those 2 characters to be made
you were my inspiration to start sculpting, I always watch your videos and little by little I am getting better on sculpting because of you thank you so much and never stop creating more art pieces! keep up the amazing work I love you videos
You are very good. Excellent. Thanks
Hay ace u don’t have but can u make a serial killer vigilante out of clay
He scares me enough that I wouldn't want him carrying my bags. 😃😃👋👋💖💖
Oooo the hotel that is everywhere and nowhere all at once hiding a portal to the hidden. Love it
This is also one of my favorite videos. I think you did a great job at showing each step, and as a fellow sculptor it's very informative. I learn so much watching your videos.
do you solely focus on character sculptures? or do you do environmental pieces as well?
I remember how the whole thing started with little nightmares
bro should make a game about the mutant universe
I love how every oc and within the universe is consistently creative and different from each other. Keep up the great work!!
Looks like the wax bellman.
Have you ever thought of making a model of the mutant universe itself like if it were a living creature?
GENIUS
A lot like the Maw but sapient. I like it, I like it
Thats an interesting concept! Though I feel like the entity suits that idea.
That makes no sense stupid
I love everything about this new character...And how you world is coming together...Awesome! MORE, MORE, MORE!!
The Bellhop came super creepy! Your story telling is amazing! I'm usually not into creepy stories but you have me intrigued!
The Hidden World, I like the sound of it ☺so he's the one who helps with everything in this world, hm, I like the hotel vibes, for coming and going, either as a mutant or not. The Bellhop is like The Entity's right hand mand it sounds like 🤔 can't wait for more of this story to unfold, I've been hooked since Albert was made and it just keeps getting better and more real as it's own world and story 🥰
Such great story telling and character creation deserves an animated series? Short animations whilst still a crazy amount of work would be fantastic! Maybe with Aardman? That would be an amazing Collab.
Id love to see this turn into a animated movie
Looooove him ❤ I look forward to watching your sculptures unfold along with their stories each week. The Bell Hop is definitely one of my absolute favorites. 7:15 AM
I thought this would just be The Entity in human form. Luring unsuspecting people into the hotel only to trap them, transform them, and hold them prisoner for time infinite as they wreak havoc on innocent souls.
But this is a cool backstory.
Second
Very cool! The skull buttons and the gold trim on his uniform are nice details.
Out of curiosity (and because I'm still learning), is there a reason you used the gray clay for his mustache and the bottom of his jacket? Or was it just a matter of what you had easily to hand at the time?
Wow this guy is awesome! Loved the Mustache. And the way you have the fabric pull at the buttons so realistic. Good going Anthony👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
just like I said earlier. you need to do a stop motion animation with these characters. I'll be first in line to buy a ticket!
Excellent work - Reminds me of a Heathrow Airport baggage handler..........................
Hullo Anthony, you are a fantastic sculptor and you are becoming an even better story teller! I am truly happy for you and your amazing sculpts and videos. I am just so glad to follow you and your creations, truly original ideas very well executed! I hope that when you take a break you might create something from Rick Riordan’s Olympians books? He does give good details about Greek mythological characters. Maybe one day a tree spirit? Or Satyr? Glad to watch any and ALL of your creations. See ya next video!
The bellhop kinda makes me think of the butler from Scary Movie 2, but more menacing. The story itself is like a culmination of Coraline, Gravity Falls, Goosebumps, and some reminance of Dante's Inferno. Does this mean that there will finally be some type of physical media in the making? Also, can we see what the Dark Entity might look like because I'm imagining it looking similar to Aku from Samurai Jack.
He's awesome, I thought you'd give him like one of those pocket watches with a chain, from left to right pockets,...but there weren't any pockets on his jacket, awesome sculpt 😮🤙👍👍
Hello Ace hope you're well? I just wanted to say thank you for your videos! When Jezza mentioned you and channel I'd only watched Jezza doing his sculpting videos so I didn't know what to expect. I'm so glad I took the chance because it took just watching one of your videos for me to be hooked, I went back and binged all your videos and now I can't wait for Friday's or Saturday's when you upload your work helps to calm me and I find it very satisfying. Thank you for sharing your passion and helping others find a love for it. Also really loved this video and what I hope will be the beginning of the story of The Hidden World.
I think you should make a character encyclopedia. Have all of the lore, so far, in there. It would be helpful to have it all mapped out. I would buy it. Another amazing sculpture! I've been dealing with a ton of medical issues the last few years and your videos have been a highlight. Something I've looked forward to. Thank you
This Bellhop is giving me mr. Bobinsky vibes from Coraline, but like evil, so like the other Bobinsky's likewise evil brother or cousin.
Side note: idk if you'll see this but I'd be really curious to see you do a sculpture of the little robot main character from the game Machinarium.
Really nice, I like it a lot. Have you ever thought about adding a tag or logo on his uniform ? Something along the lines of « Mutant Manor », as he is a bellhop. Just a thought…..
I like him. The art style gives off “courage the cowardly dog” to me. Also I love the backstory of this character. He’s not all that scary to me. He’s sort of whimsical (maybe that was the intentions)
I like it better when you explain what your doing as you work on the clay. Then cutting away sometimes to tell us other stuff about the character your sculpting. I might be alone in thinking this but the quietness of the video just didn’t seem right. There was like something missing. I love your videos and have been watching you for a long time. Your so talented and your sculpts always turn out so amazing. The prior suggestion is just something I noticed.
The Bellhop looks really cool. I love the mustache, the spikey shoulders, and the skull buttons. I am intrigued on how the story will go. Looking forward to the new characters and the rest of the story.
Omg. Finally. The LORE. I remeber the very first video of the mutant that turned into this amazing series... it has come such a lon way and (as always) i cant wait for more
He turned out absolutly amazing! Great job! Keep expanding this universe!
When are you gonna make the Entity? 🤔 Cuz when you do I think giving it a child-like figure would be great to add on to the horror of your world! 😁 Just a suggestion
HI! I'm going through your links to pick up some supplies so I can follow along with you :-). Is the white clay the same as "foam clay.? Thanks!
It's so sad that claymation is so rarely chosen as a medium for animation anymore. I know it's insanely expensive, difficult, and studios just don't want to take the risk, but look at the results! You can't argue with the results.
Its really sinister... but its not little nightmares. If you allow me to say it what characterizes the monsters of Little Nightmares is "deformation", but not in the way you choose to do it. For an example the teacher, her deformations are most likely an exaggeration of the typical characteristics of an old lady.
Cool sculpt. I've been wanting to ask, why do you always make the shirts and coats of your male characters button on the wrong side? All men's shirts etc. have to buttons on the right side leaving the overlap open on the right. Yours are always on the left. Is there a reason for your deciding to do this? No bid deal, but I find it curious.
So assuming this correctly he almost acts like Heimdall from Thor, basically a gatekeeper and guardian to this other world whether it be a portal, a gateway, or even a rift in the fabric of reality he’s the person that allows or denies access to this hidden world (which funnily enough is the name of a how to train your Dragon movie but I digress😂)
How did this series go from "I'm making more characters of Little Nightmares" to
"So I created this world and I think it's pretty cool."
I think having a more spooky background music would help the video a lot! I love these so much! I just feel that the music disconnect is a little jarring. I’m going to get into sculpture again and I keep coming back to this channel. For guidance and someone to listen to while I make art.
Sorry if this is a question you get a lot and I haven't seen it, but is there a chance you would at some point be interested in making some form of Little Nightmares fangame using your own characters? I think it would be so cool for people to be able to explore this world by themselves!
omg that music when you are not talking is so distracting and unfitted to story... and story is AWSOME. me wants moar! ;)
I would like to see a sculpture where when you add snakes/bits of clay and you partially blend them with the tool and they leave the ridges (like when you were doing the brows). Do that but don't blend them out smooth and leave the texture. Could be something cool, could be a disaster.
This guy reminds me of a courage the cowardly dog character , and that's good. Seriously I could see this getting turned into a claymation film like the corpse bride.
I was wondering if you use a finish spray over your acrylic paints? I know that they do not really stand the test of time on an item that is touched a lot. You are so amazing at what you do! Have you thought of having any "part of the crew, part of the ship" characters in your story line? They really fit with your tentacle themes!
I know that you often sculpt human type figures, which are awesome! That being said, it would be really cool to see you create something like a Chinese dragon with your own style .
How do you continue to make unique creations with a story background? you are a really talented person and I enjoy all the videos you make, the mutant characters are really cool creations.
This definitely would make for a great character in courage the cowardly dog! Awesome work and details!
The Bellhop looks like the sort of character who is completely aware of what they are doing and enjoys every second of it.
just imagine a movie with all these characters, like old Tim Burton style would die for that :0
The Bellhop kind of looks like a Burton-ized Dr. Eggman from Sonic.
