Thank you, I get these hour long tip videos constantly, and as someone who's just getting into the game I really don't need all the theorycrafting on a '10 tips for beginners' video that last for 70 minutes
One of me frnds jus airdropped me this game I didn't have internet access back then so I played this game offline only With no yt guide,no tutorial,I started this game raw I'm glad that this guy is teaching others exactly what I learnt all by myself..not being cocky, jus sharing how much I learnt after starting full raw
Thanks, that was actually useful, even 4 years later with the game being ostensibly different. There's so many vids about this game out there that babble and drone on and on without getting to the point. This one is great 😊
This was really useful I just bought this for the switch 2 years late but I'm making my way through the story mode and it is a challenge Even on normal. based on your tips I am definitely expanding way too far too fast . Having trouble with resource management primarily food but I always seem to have an overabundance of wood. I don't think I played the goat nation correctly too 😅. After that little struggle on normal mode now I'm youtubing tips to make sure I'm doing it more efficiently.
No it isn't. I literally get ganked everygame by other player's army and I have no idea on how to solve the issue. You either have food or a starving army lmao
I love the game. After some hours (15, 20 whatever) e. g. banished was easy, because i found my balance which always worked. but northgard.. i had about i guess 50 hours and now i win (normal, 3 pc enemies) maybe 10%, often loose because i am a little to slow maybe 50% and quit the rest in midgame because i have no chance. so after a lot of hours i still try to find my exact balance and try to adopt to different starting conditions
@@michellechua7238 There doesn' t seem to be a way to win. One of the tips I didn't try was to start with a beer factory and keep everyone drunk but there is no way to build up enough warriors to defeat even the weakest neighbors even with the wolf. Once the wolf gets killed you are screwed with no way to bring it back I guess.
I'm trading with the Cobalts right now but I'm not seeing much other use from them and there's no real information on what Cobalt are useful for if anything
Great tips thanks! Only been playing a week but I'm finding it hard to generate coin even though i have a dock/trading shop and marketplace, how do i mkae more money?
if you have alot of iron, you could upgrade your merchants and/or sailors. Also, the bottom lore tree holds some krown generating bonuses. Lastly, your marketplaces can start making trade routes after you research coinage (i think its called?) in the bottom lore tree
@@chris5942 seems to be a recent upgrade, if i build multiple trading centres it helps with the coin, still 2 steps forward one step back even on the easy game setting, then two giants rock up and destroy everything
Hi! Great vid. I generally agree with all but stone&iron one - you said "gather this ASAP" while I wait until first blessing (Jord), so that my 6 Lores consist of miners efficiency & better carpentry (forgot english name), then spend Jord's iron to upgrade miners further, THEN finally start to gather stone&iron. Early game feels painfully slow because of this (it's just the feeling, I get set in 2-2.5 years usually) but this also feels much more efficient toward midgame, since stone and iron is so expensive and hard to get. I will gladly discuss this if anyone has plenty of muliplayer experence.
If you play against beginners or in an ffa this is possible because nobody attacks in the First years. But once you play in teamgames you need to get Gold and a good Basic eco so you can fight. And a lot of clans have good 200 fame Boni wich are easier to get with 2-3 Upgraded buildings
Bro i play mining efficiency and then carpentry mastery. But at the point i hit carpentry mastery, i have long all iron mined and about finishing stone. Settling in takes you two years??? It will take you two years to make it from wood league...
Always build one house in a new territory to switch back to villagers when needed. Have training camps on every off territory. Place towers in the center of a territory for defense and very edge to next territory for offense (then when you get the new one, build a tower next to that one or squeeze building between the two towers).
I was arrogant and chose not to look into any guides but after 4 tries and kept on failing it hard. I had to search for guides. The first problem was with food, then i had problems with not having enough soldiers to protect my expanded lands, THEN I REALIZED HOW ARE THE ENEMIES SO STRONG !?!?!?. I had 4 warriors and 3 axe throwers fighting against 3 enemies, they all got wiped out. I just cant seem to understand how the bots managed to upgrade their units that quickly. Its so damn annoying.
@@childrenofthesun471 Well then enlighten me. What is the secret sauce? I have tried holding feast after feast. I have tried to balance all of the buildings and features. Nothing helps. My buildings all burn. My people all die. I lose. This game sucks.
@@chris5942 tell me your loadout build becuase I rarely lose the game due to loss of resources, I'm 70% of the time with balanced resources or even higher
@@childrenofthesun471 I couldn't even tell you at this point. I have been playing Zombie Army Trilogy and Zombie Army 4 for the last few months. I will let you know next time I stuff the disk in if I ever do.
Yeah, for real Knowing what things to prioritize is important for new players. A lot of people won't know right away how valuable longships are in comparison to priorities that seem more pressing at the start

This is great! Short and straight to the point 😊 really helpful!
Just got the game on discount, love it and thanks for the video!
I've been watching all your videos lately. I would love an updated version of this video if you get the time, or a lets play of sorts once in a while
