Arhh.. the old KS boards, lovely. Fitted many of these back in the day into cybernet and Uniden FM chassis. The Unidens were the worst to broadband for 4 blocks - nightmare. They were the best available at the time and very well made. I still have one fitted to my Rotel 240 with Low, Mid, Hi & UK bands on a 4 way switch. I still have all the fitting documentation and wiring installation diagrams for these along with their EPROM boards that KS produced - I can send some scans if you want. 👍
@2:43 I reverse engineered those boards years ago, uses the MC145151 or something from memory, I made my own versions too where I added some other bands and 5k steps, a very similar board is used in Uniden based radios too for the TC9106 and TC9109
This board was used over here , the tonks board was a lot more easy to fit . That used a 7132 and a 7137 .
I fitted one of those ks services low mid uk boards to a barracuda back in the 90’s
Seems a pain to fit.
Always felt the dimmer worked in reverse on these , I do have a soft spot for the Rotels great watch interesting mod board
If you think about it , it’s a dimmer and if you follow the other knobs going from left min to right max . Left min is no dim and right is full dim ,however it upsets my ocd so I have to reverse them ;)
@@MicroChipz Agreed on the OCD , i have 3 of these boxed i feel i have to reverse them now ! :)
Lovely stuff
Thanks
Cybernet chassis i believe, these went under many names including harvard also in grey with green display i had one, thought they were a good japanese built rig.
Yes this board was in many uk40 radios.
Thats an interesting mod board not come across one of those yet
Yeh first for me as well .

Morning chips how are ya mate? Chips I've got a lafayett AFS-805 MK2 which pushes 50 Watts straight out the back. It has 3 power settings. 0.4 Watts. 4 Watts and 50 Watts. any chance you could do a variable power thing with it so I can use it with my 703? Cheers in advance mate
Not sure if this can be done.
Oh. OK then. Thanks mate
