- What better way to help the neighbors than bombarding them with a bomber VTOL that drops dynamite?! Are we going to break the game?
If you want to find out how to set off dynamite and drop bombs from the sky in your Astroneer world using a VTOL, watch this awesome Astroneer video to change reality through explosive destroy action.
I’m helping the neighbors to take care of stuff using my bomber VTOL, a new vehicle that was introduced with the Astroneer Jet Powered update along with the hoverboard and the EXO Chips. This special version of the vehicle automatically ignites and drops TNT from the sky, making atomic nuke explosions better than ever before. The community is going to be very thankful for this! Be careful, I set off so much dynamite it ended reality in Astroneer but it's a complete mess

Also did think you can connect both the TNT and packager to one button so you can release one at a time if two is too much or you need to save some.
That's what I've done in the second attempt, I mentioned it in the video 😉
@Kuya Game, amazing video! But don't attach TnT to the side of the silo... It ended up in my save as a casualty, as it stays in mid air and bombs the bomber!
@@KuyaGameAstroneer I guess he meant you could use one slot to activate a single silo, and then the other slot to activate the second silo. so you can bomb different places without reloading! :)

I'm lazy
So I thought to myself, "How can I always have ready to use bomb silos without needing to load them manually?"
I decided to make an auto loader where I could grab silos loaded up and refill empty silos with this contraption, to ensure that I won't have to go through the boring process of placing the dynamite on the silos by hand. This makes it perfect to help out my non existent community quickly to not waste time loading. Making use of auto arms and Backpack Plinths, I was able to have plenty of full silos at the ready.
I also tried to utilize a platform to make a missile. It almost worked, but the trajectory was poor and it didn't get far. Shame

Love the comedy as you blow u- fix the community, just an idea, have you ever tried using winches to carry a larger payload of joy? Love that I'm not the only one who sees the VOTL as an Arial bomber
Side note, activating the silo also activates everything on it, this works for any kind of storage (excluding cans and active storages). This may be useful for a future build

Yes, PvP. I know its a bit crazy, but hear me out:
Picture this: You're relaxing at your base, doing standard stuff, like expanding. Suddenly, large fog horns go off around the base, signaling a bombing run is approaching. Appearing on the horizon, a threat from a distant land approach. A squadron of what must be a dozen VTOLs cast shadows on the ground. They carry silos of dynamite, ready to be dropped when the time is right. The base flies into a panic as your fellow Astroneers run to battle stations. With no real weaponry for anti-air, you must improvise. Thrusters with dynamite covering them are at the ready for when the opportunity is given. When the time is right, you activate the dynamite and then the thruster quickly. The thruster shoots upward into the fleet of VTOLs, making the fleet panic. You watch it detonate making a nearby bomber's load ignites and kills the pilot. Debris falls out of the sky as the makeshift Flak makes the squadron scatter. The sirens scream out as the base defends themselves as best they can. Then it happens; bombers drop their loads onto the base in crucial areas. Platforms fly in all directions, automation is disrupted, and worst of all, the Atmospheric Condensers and the gas storage ignites. The base is engulfed in a massive explosion, killing both those on the ground and some pilots. Nothing remains, the base is ruined, turned to dust. All has been lost. Rage fills your head as you look over the crater that was once your base, and you say to yourself, ”They wanna play? I’ll hurt them so bad that they’ll regret starting this war!” You gather your allies and prepare an air raid accompanied by a ground attack and a friend’s most powerful weapon…

The day rolls around, and your squadron takes flight. Your large rovers carry explosive material and Astroneers as infantry. These infantry carry dynamite to turn parts of the base into literal debris instead of just disrupting the base. Five bombers is plenty, and your friend waits in orbit, ready for the signal. You watch them scramble into their battle stations; however you weren’t anticipating them bringing out large rovers too. They roll into the front as a barricade for your onslaught. Luckily, that’s what your guys on the ground are for. They jump out of the back and run over to enemy rovers. They attach dynamite and run away as the rovers are reduced to scrap. The bombers drop their loads, but these guys were smart enough to have a roof over their crucial areas, especially their massive hydrogen monopoly. The battle rages on, the bombers drop their loads and turn home, however, the flak gets them and knocks them down. They try to run, but enemy Astroneers run after them on hoverboards, doing who knows what. Your rovers get blown to shreds, and its looking bad, so you decided its time. You launch the firework as the signal, and your friend spots it. In orbit, him and his buddies dump tons of gas canisters on top of the base (orbital strike), covering it in ticking time bombs. As expected, they realize as you ignite a dynamite and toss it into the pile of waiting explosives… the base explodes.

Your friend watches from orbit as the base is engulfed in a massive blue plasma ball. It tears through the ground and rips up everything. Everyone down there is vaporized, including you. Your enemy’s massive base is annihilated in an instant. The smoke clears, and all that remains is a massive crater. It’s so big that its visible from orbit. Your enemy’s sure aren’t happy about this, you bet. This seems like a war’s end, but it's just beginning…

Can I suggest an improvement... Try the T1 to T2 mod. There is an unlimited version as well as the std version so that you can attach T3 and T4 items too!😉 I'll let that sink in for a minute... You can now infinitely increase the carrying capacity of the VTOL...

Bad piggies gone wild
So this idea also works if you want to create a carpet bomber that can hold a lot more you need a couple packers delay and button repeaters and a large rover +2 thrusters, put the thrusters on back of the rover and fill the medium storage with dynamite as usual same thing with the button repeaters the delay can help but you usually end up with floating dynamite if you use it anyway once you have the medium storage set up put the packer on top as usual find a ramp make sure every thing is wired up then you should be good to go oh and make sure you have a packer of the rover or the thrusters other wise you might unload the chunk
Also sorry if this doesn't make that much sense i wrote it at 1:34am
Yeah it will definitely work that way! Just gotta be careful that the landing area is going to be far enough from the nuke area

If you want to pack an extra punch, use some Hydrazine along with the dynamite. Be careful, as this might explode your VTOL in the process.

This is the reason why I don’t like using TNT. It’s so dangerous to keep that one wrong move will destroy a large part of your home and you’ll have to rebuild it from scratch. This also applies to other explosive objects too.

There is a way to place more dynamite in a silo to do this you must get 2large silo B and then place medium storage so you have even more storage

@@KuyaGameAstroneer well if it doesn't fit the VTOL then place it in a large rover place some hydrazine thrusters in the back and silos to the front and make a ramp so when you activate the thrusters you go flying like a god of destruction then exit the vehicle and if you are quick enough activate the button repeater to package the silo

You can attach items to the winch but not automatically release them... You need to aim at the hook and manually detach it unfortunately.... Thanks for your comment 😊
@@KuyaGameAstroneer I watched a video on how to make a slingshot to another planet and it never occurred to me that I can just take a winch, attach a extra large platform C full of TNT to it(and maybe some onboard delay before detonation) attach a packager to the winch and activate it using a button repeater. This will drop the platform and setoff the onboard delay.
