Haha! Explain yourself?? 😜
@@JKoverland
I might surprise you with an offer later 😁
Talk to me soon 😉
Great to see you back in Portugal again and the new Mitsi is making light work of it too. Love the set up in the back very nicely done.
Best overlanding truck
My country , amaizing views, beautiful places to drive...im in uk and i miss that !!! ... Enjoy guys!!! And welcome to Portugal
You are right about that! 🇵🇹 ❤ sounds very cold in the UK right now 🥶 must be tempting to book a ferry 😁? Thank you so much! J&K
Another great video guys! Love the drone shots at the beginning
Cheers Dan, I was chuffed with that bit of drone footage 😁 what you been up to in the snow? 😂
@@JKoverland oh nothing here, it’s just turned to mush so chilled movie night putting the tree up
Hopefully some more on the way 🙂 sounds like a good evening to me 👍
Nailing it as always 👍 great "FART" content vlogs 😍
Alright 😜 thanks you 🤟
Welcome back!!! 👍
Thank you José, feels good to be back!
Great video guys, I love the gen 3 shoguns but my god am I glad I have a 3.5 v6. I love a diesel but the petrol suits this car to a t. Would love to see a build with one 👍🏿
As ever an amazing vid.
The lanoguard recommendation has paid off I can’t believe what amazing product it is.
Wife still not sold on the roof tent but still working on it.
Hope you guys can get plenty of time out there.
So pleased to hear that! Great stuff and will be re applying to Molly when we return! Try some warmer weather trips for convincing roof tent 😜
Baked beans and roof top tent 🤔 bet that was an interesting night 😂
Hahaha nooo 🙄 🤣🤣
We've still got that part of the Trans Portugal route to complete.
It was one of the long steep uphill sections that killed my 110 can't wait to continue South from Castelo Blanco to Sagres, maybe next year who knows !
It's my favourite part of the route! If you can you must 😜 hopefully without any killed vehicles this time! Some steeper climbs in this section too exciting!
Hope you guys are okay been looking out for an upload since you last posted. I absolutely love the paj and the epic content
Hi I am based in brisbane Australia I have excatly the same model of the Pajero you got in this video, same model same color, I have owned mine since 2012 and it has taken me to places all around the Land Down Under, I enjoyed watching your build and mods on your Pajero, They are awesome vehicles, the design and durability is impeccable , Thanks for sharing your videos, I enjpy watchin em
Definitely an under-appreciated platform for building a tourer. Well made and dependable. Would be interested to know if yours has ever let you down as you've owned it for a decade and travelled all over? Cheers :)
I'm Portuguese, and my dream (to realize maybe in the next two years) is to OVERLAND PORTUGAL, from north, to South. . :)
Thank you for video is amazing good 👍 ❤️
Our first trip in our overlander is Sweden but this looks great, either this or the Pyrenees for next year I think.
That will be great! Plan to go sometime
Good video, I had to laugh as my polish Girlfriend nicks the end of the bread all the time lol
Could you share where this trails are? Thanks and nice video.
I'd say 25 mpg is pretty good. I have an ISUZU D-Max with a 2.5 liter diesel, uses around 9 to 9.5 liters per 100 kilometers but i don't have a rooftop tent or awning. Frequently carry a lot of weight alright, but i think the tent would be a bigger draw on fuel than the weight in the back.
I thought so 👍 that sounds good to me for the dmax, and would expect it to be like you say without anything to kill the aero dynamics too spot on 👌
Welcome!
My country is beautiful! You should move to here. :D
Although the United Kingdom is a very green and beautiful country, but with very grey weather. :P
It is very tempting we thing about it often 😂 maybe you never know 😉 very cold and grey this time of year in UK 🤪
Pretty nice places you going guys🤙🏾
Cheers dude 🤙
@@JKoverland your welcome buddy 🤗🤙🏾
You guys have some amazing trails. How you liking the Gen 3 Paj? We are going to start fixing our next year.
If you guys are ever in the south of France and need a stop off, give us a shout!
Thank you!
I'm from Portugal, you should try our "Route 66" offroad, from North to South of Portugal ;)
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Do you have details of the route that you are prepared to share please? I’m planning a similar trip. Thank you 🙏
Just had one of your fellow overlanders visiting us, enjoying the (too cold for this time of the year) fresh air and the stars at night from their rooftop tent. Enjoy your adventure in lovely Portugal.
Hello a b who are we speaking with? 😁 must be the North of Europe I am guessing? 🥶 😂 still can't beat that freedom sensation 😊
@@JKoverland haha no, I'm the only Dutch guy you know in the Algarve. Just don't want to misuse your comment section for advertising purposes 😁
Gotcha 🤣 haha well I would recommend our friends to stay every time! Wonderful place! Hope all is well with you guys 😊
Interesting I've got a Pajero 3.2 2005 has the super select 4wd so you can select 2wd and 4wd .
Great video thank you! What sort of Nitecore power bank do you recommend? Is that what the fridge uses when engine is not running?
Yes fridge runs of the power Bank. Have to work out your power needs but we run a mid range unit as it's enough for us and nice and compact.
Nice nice
Many thanks! 😀
Hi, great uploads…quick question about the roof tent. It looks exposed a little from the sides for extreme rain etc. does it cope well in adverse weather like this. In addition, any issues with the mechanism for raising and lowering…thansk
We've had it in a blizzard and a couple of times heavy rain and it has been reliable. The mechanism is simple so always works 👍
Roof bars are pronounced too-lee (thule)
😊👍
👍
👍👊
Great video guys :)
Thank you Rory 😃
✌️👍
How’s it going… what fridge are you running?
What part of Portugal are use in this week
This seems like alot of fun! we go off-roading in canada and planning to off-road in portugal! people say it is illegal to wild camp in portugal, do you guys find legal places to camp?
Portuguese here. Its illegal to camp yes but theres tolerance in most areas. No one will report it, unless you're in private land or damaging something. Theres a big off-road community in Portugal so most of people are use to it. Normally people and police don't take it very serious. Mostly just get a ''please move away'' notice.
Pay attention that in protected areas ( can be seen on google maps marked as green) its a very sensitive subject and fines might happen (and normally will do). Normally we do is what we called ''pernoita'' or overnight I guess. Leaving before or around sunrise and not settle a semi-permanent camping. Also in Geres National Park, avoid services roads, these are for emergency personnel and huge fines can be applied (only place in Portugal that this happens). This roads are normally located in more mountainous areas of the park.
In beach areas, specially more tourist areas there's a growing anti-movement towards campervans and some issues could happen. One final tip is, please DO NOT drive on the beach sand and coastal sand dunes. This is for environmental reasons and coastal preservation, which is a big subject on this part of the world.
Have fun! And enjoy our country. One final tip, the ''dirtier'' a small restaurant is, the better the food is!
Leo
@@leodomingox wow Leo thank you for this extremely valuable information! I really appreciate your reply 😁 It is very exciting to know there is a big off road community there! Now we are even more excited to come. Do you have any fb offroad group that we can join?
Out of curiosity, what milage was the Mitsu when you got it? If i recall, you said you paid 3500? i cant find any under 120k miles for 4000 lol
From memory it wS below 120k 👀
@@JKoverland thank you. I can’t find any normal shoguns for under 6k with relatively good miles. There seems to be plenty of shogun sports though. Are these any good for off-road/ over landing? Are they much different apart from size? (I’m a newbie to all of this).
Is this route on Wikiloc ?
Hi
Could you please send the track on Wikiloc? Thank you 🙏
Keep enjoying my country, you are welcome ❤.
The Shogun must feel like cheating compared to travelling in Molly.
How do you find that Fridge/Freezer. I'm thinking of buying that model. Is there benefit of having one for predominantly UK camping?
It's brilliant and perfect size for us. Cool that is has Bluetooth control too. Can find at direct4x4.co.uk also 10% off everything using discount code JKOVERLAND 👍
@@JKoverland That's great. Is the freezer compartment independent of the fridge. i.e are they both different temperatures?
@Kelsta James its either fridge or freezer but only one and your choice 😁
@@JKoverland Ok guys. Thanks so much for the quick response. Love watching your travels. I have a Disco 3 and would love to do some Europe trips at some point. Keep up the great videos.
@@kelstajames7319 cheers to that ! 😁🤩
so what is the meaning of "SOLO" here ? nice tour - gread picturs 👍
Hey! Thanks. Solo vehicle :)
Que marca es la tienda de techo
Hi. Some travelers are carrying a spare tire. It's heavy and takes a lot of space.
I presume the risk of a flat tire, is not much higher than engine or suspension failure.
What is your experience?
Not sure I quite understand the question 😁
By upgrading the tires to a bigger size, the spare wheel can sometimes not be stored in the original place. Therefore a (expensive) rear door bracket is required.
Question is. How often have you used the spare wheel, if rarely, could it be replaced by a roadside tire repair kit ?
(Spare wheel VS. Roadside tire repair kit.)
No I would always carry a proper spare when travelling in this way 👍
Hi the 2010 mk4 198bhp version is in the low tax bracket as well that's the one i have....just over £300.00 quid a year....people are shocked when i tell them because they all think its in the higher £500.00 bracket I'm also seeing around 35mpg most of the time.....but the newer or older one's cost £500.00 quid to tax a year.....it doesn't make sense why mitsubishi did this for such a short production run.....mines also got the adaptive learning gear box with tourq biasing from front to rear with an engine management system that tunes itself up regularly......it also has the carbon fibre drive shaft plus the alternator that disconnects via battery management....this is probably why I'm getting reasonable mpg.....plus i keep a keen eye on waight to function strategy with the gear i carry....it seems to work.
Yes indeed I had heard of the 2010 on ones being OK again at the £300 mark only a bit moor than say an 05 or before. I think that's a good buy these days and I like the look of them too for a so called more modern 4x4. Definitely a great set up for an overlander 😃
where is the pajero ???😱😱😱😱
Can you give location and roadmap please
Omg why are you guys selling it?
you dont make this vlog well
i requist to record the car outside when it move
where is the old pajero better than new
Don't put your thumbs inside the steering wheel when off roading or one day you'll break one.
Wellcome back guys. Do contact if by any chance you will be around Sintra and Ericeira during the weekend, I can show you beautiful trails
