My theory is that the "players" that we battle isn't always human. They are bots. In order for the game to keep us at a 51% win rate, these bots needs to be put in to battle with a win/lose algorithm in mind. In order to do this the game needs to see our battle party and quickly generate the opposing team needed. That is the built in program, which is exploited by the discord cheat. Niantic cannot remove the discord cheat, because it's fundamental to the "PVP" part of Pokemon Go.

Honestly I think anything is fair game now. Spoofing, exploits, etc. they raise prices, give our lackluster content, don’t listen to community feedback, etc. I don’t agree with cheating on pvp because it affects fellow players, but any other type of spoofing or whatever I think is totally okay.
I am 100% convinced Niantic is taking an intentionally passive approach to cheating in general. They don't publish their granular financial stats, at least to my knowledge, but any business with their annual numbers will have thoroughly analyzed the bottom line. Despite the CD moves and such, I'm not convinced GBL is any sort of priority. They pushed it in past years, but that was covid era Niantic pushing the improvements; that company is gone now. The code is probably so patchwork at this point that it's beyond the programming budget to fix.

I give this game at least two more years of life left with the rate niantic is heading idk man. People will still buy tickets people will still endorse there shitty game. The ideas behind the features were always decent, but any decency the events and features had were always ruined by glitches, lag, and miscommunication… two wrongs will never make a right, so in my opinion, you’re right in a sense that telling people that cheating isn’t a big deal because of the way the company itself approaches it. At the same time tho, these hacks have been around and evolving since as early as possibly in season 3/4 of gbl, and though they’ve been addressed from time to time, they’ve never been shut down completely. Spoofing is still a thing, the lag and glitches are still around, if not worse, and now there’s a bunch of cheaters running around in gbl on top of spoofers…. Massive cheating issues with the game, making pay to win a brain dead strategy for success. Like you said, push the company to address cheating, lag, and glitches, and at the same time, play to have fun within the terms of service so the game is at least fair on some level. The pay to win aspect of this game also doesn’t help with the whole argument of rural players having an impossible time participating in key features as easily, such as raiding. At the same time, niantic has done next to nothing for them. No spawn increase in rural areas, no pokestops being added or searched for, limited ability to find remote raiders due to remote raid limits and pass prices etc etc. whole host of greed and impatience in this game all in all, and I can personally see the negative things you were pointing out in your comment as I’ve played the game over these couple years. Still love the game and the people I meet playing it, but it’s exhausting for sure if you’re invested in the game personally, because it’s just disappointing to see all this potential, and then see what’s done with it…

As someone who does spoof in game but doesnt DO PVP... They do notice if you are cheating for example I was doing rocket grunts where you get 10k dust if you defeat them and after 900 of them they noticed that there is something wrong and I got warning, also this summer when I was spoofing on iPhone I got 3 accounts banned.. so they do notice but its harder to find out if you are cheating on Android

Apparently it's ok to cheat in Pokémon go now because no matter how many times I Report A person in Pokémon go for spoofing. Niantic doesn't seem to care enough to ban that spoofer in my area.
A guy once asked me my thoughts on creating a global climate crisis. His idea was that this was the only way to get people to pay attention to the changes that were inevitably coming. Then and now, my belief is that to exacerbate a problem is NOT in or of itself a solution. The availability of cheats is not an invitation to use them, as frustrating as that may be.
This is exactly why I quit the game entirely. Uninstalled & not looking back. I love this game so much but time & again Niantic has ruined my motivation to further pursue it at all. Plus I was seriously so addicted to it to the point I was struggling on the decision to stop that I had to just cut the cord cold turkey & now that it's been a few weeks it is so incredibly freeing not feeling the pull the game had on me before feeling like I NEEDED to open the app, & I'm a much happier person now because I walked away from it. It really is just like any other addiction, you feel like you can't give it up & it's ruining your life.

Perth regional champion here, just wanted to say that I’ve been a fan for a long time. GBL is just a place to practice your PVP skills at this point, I would suggest you giving show 6 pick 3 a try and maybe attending an event. There’s no way the people cheat at official events. 😊

Today someone threw a charge move that killed me and switched Pokémon before I chose my next pokemon. I also lagged a few times during the match that definitely gave him An advantage
They would care if people stop giving them money and if people just stop going to theirs in person events go tours go fest wild areas safari zones and buying them tickets and so on… but that’s never gonna happen 😢 people just love Pokémon way to much
The demographic of the game is too big and spread out. Yeah a lot of die hard pokemon fans play the game, but a bunch don’t too, and a lot of people who know nothing about pokemon from before hand play as well. This means that niantic can basically drop the shittiest event ever in the eyes of seasoned pogo and pokemon fans/players, but in the eyes of casual players who aren’t so concerned or don’t care as much, the event seems worth it in terms of the stupid items and stuff they dangle in your face for how ever much cash…
Playing since Aug 2021, just hit level 50 today, ive never spoofed or cheated in pogo. Its absurd to me that people cheat. We had a group of spoofers that would take every gym all day constantly to where litterally all 100 gyms would never be available, instantly they would knock everyone out. Our dischord kept saying nothing could be done about it. Well i got a group of 20 or so player and we all started reporting them constantly and Niantic banned them after a couple weeks.
pvp limit cap is a joke also, i thought pokemon was all about the grind and after 5 months i reached a point where i have great pvp pokemon in little cups and Great cups.but just reached my first cap limit. man cmon lol
I faced a guy that used that aame glitch i posted on X i assume his account got banned and created a new one or if this was someone else but the name tney used was cantbanmeh and it was annoying that i encountered him on my last set and he was my final opponent on the last match the resulted in a 2-5 instead of potentially 3-5 . I dont mind losing but to lose like that not giving a chance to even make that a positive set is what was frustrating the most
Dude at this point just play Pokemon pocket at least it’s by the Pokemon company and u can battle with others online more fun then this dead game that tracks your data and sells it to others no thank u Niantic
I stopped playing GBL seriously a while ago. I still play GBL sometimes and have mild fun but I'm perfectly fine just watching Pokes journey in the go battle league 😂
That's why i always carry 2 or even 3 solid teams at a time. I feel like, switching them between the games helps a lot! With the current algorithm in mind, as well as the 'counter' teams... climbing a ladder with a single team is really really hard.

Sadly they have changed yhe game so much and for me pvp was Very important. Now its a waste of yime almost every game is unwinable you have to try hard and win most of the time too 1hp. While the loses is almost all the times counters ot cheaters.

PokeAK, the best way to get niantics attention is indeed to get publicity on the cheat, this video will no doubt help with that, but saying that the cheat becoming widespread in the GBL is the "best" way to get niantics attention is extremely ignorant. You have thousands of people that watch you, some of which will now think that it's ok to cheat in order to get niantics attention even if it ruins more peoples experience of the game. The best solution is to simply cover the issue while telling players that if they cheat, they are at risk of being banned, so you notify niantic without ruining others experience further.

Or make the battle system like the main games, turned based with 4 attacks and the use of items. That'll be easier for us who grew playing the main games.
If you’re experiencing it at the highest levels of play, with antic doing next to nothing about it, there’s kinda no way around it. Either beat em or join em or lose, those r the only options. End of the day tho, two wrongs will never make a right, so I’d just say to try to have fun with it. If you are taking it seriously, good luck, between the lag, exploits, bullshit team comps and stuff, I personally gave up around season 4/5 of gbl.
I reported spoofers every day for over 90 days and even tweeted screenshots of their shared screens showing the spoof app overlays. Niantic never did a single thing. So, maybe for pvp everyone should just join in and exploit too. 🤔

When someone is trying to stay f2p, but some jerkoff rapidly spoofs through your local park and installs a new gym of 6 mons every night, it gets a bit frustrating. I shouldn't have had to go through a fruitless reporting process and end up buying coins just because a spoofer could joystick their location across a river and winding woodland path. Not all spoofers are a problem, and quite frankly coordinated air support can be a good thing, but *some* spoofers still royally screw legit players over some petty little pixel obsession.

Horrible lag if not using apple device slower fast/charge or swapping pokemon when other player is attacking.

I agree I spoof on android. And I'm also someone who doesnt do PVP.
How do you guys manage to avoid getting warnings? I used psharp but stopped over a year ago because everyone was getting banned

Our dischord kept saying nothing could be done about it. Well i got a group of 20 or so player and we all started reporting them constantly and Niantic banned them after a couple weeks.
Niantic doesnt care about cheating. Spoofers still exist. As long as they continue to get paid, they will allow it to happen
pvp limit cap is a joke also, i thought pokemon was all about the grind and after 5 months i reached a point where i have great pvp pokemon in little cups and Great cups.but just reached my first cap limit. man cmon lol

I faced a guy that used that aame glitch i posted on X i assume his account got banned and created a new one or if this was someone else but the name tney used was cantbanmeh and it was annoying that i encountered him on my last set and he was my final opponent on the last match the resulted in a 2-5 instead of potentially 3-5 . I dont mind losing but to lose like that not giving a chance to even make that a positive set is what was frustrating the most
Dude at this point just play Pokemon pocket at least it’s by the Pokemon company and u can battle with others online more fun then this dead game that tracks your data and sells it to others no thank u Niantic

That's why i always carry 2 or even 3 solid teams at a time. I feel like, switching them between the games helps a lot! With the current algorithm in mind, as well as the 'counter' teams... climbing a ladder with a single team is really really hard.

Sadly they have changed yhe game so much and for me pvp was Very important. Now its a waste of yime almost every game is unwinable you have to try hard and win most of the time too 1hp. While the loses is almost all the times counters ot cheaters.

Cheaters give them a looooot of money, so Niantic loves us. I would never play this boring, underdeveloped game without cheating and daily shundo hunting. And if y'all were smart, you'd start spoofing as well.

PokeAK, the best way to get niantics attention is indeed to get publicity on the cheat, this video will no doubt help with that, but saying that the cheat becoming widespread in the GBL is the "best" way to get niantics attention is extremely ignorant. You have thousands of people that watch you, some of which will now think that it's ok to cheat in order to get niantics attention even if it ruins more peoples experience of the game. The best solution is to simply cover the issue while telling players that if they cheat, they are at risk of being banned, so you notify niantic without ruining others experience further.

If you’re experiencing it at the highest levels of play, with antic doing next to nothing about it, there’s kinda no way around it. Either beat em or join em or lose, those r the only options. End of the day tho, two wrongs will never make a right, so I’d just say to try to have fun with it. If you are taking it seriously, good luck, between the lag, exploits, bullshit team comps and stuff, I personally gave up around season 4/5 of gbl.
I reported spoofers every day for over 90 days and even tweeted screenshots of their shared screens showing the spoof app overlays. Niantic never did a single thing. So, maybe for pvp everyone should just join in and exploit too. 🤔

When someone is trying to stay f2p, but some jerkoff rapidly spoofs through your local park and installs a new gym of 6 mons every night, it gets a bit frustrating. I shouldn't have had to go through a fruitless reporting process and end up buying coins just because a spoofer could joystick their location across a river and winding woodland path. Not all spoofers are a problem, and quite frankly coordinated air support can be a good thing, but *some* spoofers still royally screw legit players over some petty little pixel obsession.
When things are locked behind a grind/paywall there will always be people who cheat, the gaming industry as a whole is sinking fast
Hacking and cheating in any game if it’s an online game or not is not OK I have Pokémon GO on my tablet and my character looks like Marvin the Martian without eyes in a mouth
