Thats a good question, as most of the propper dirtbikes are tall. By Dirtbike if you mean Xpulse, then Yes you can, it will take a few days to get used to tip toeing but you'll be able to manage. I have seen riders no more than 5ft ride with ease. You can also get the seat slightly modified for a low riding position. Talking about proper dirt bikes, (non street legal) There are a few options available like the KLX140 is comparatively smaller than most of 250's and 450'. Saying that, if you are new to the world of offroad, the Kawa-140cc is all that you need.
