Patrick Morley no pun intended
nailed it like Jesus
LOL😂
It's so steroid you mean.
it’s all about winning!🚴🏽💦
I was there that day watching my brother compete. I'm glad to say I witnessed one of his last competitions before this whole mess happened.
Dope or not, lance is still an amazing athlete. He must be respected for his effort and victories on and off the bike.
lol
Lance Armstrong an athlete the world will look back on as we look back now on the Spartans.
the Spartans were fierce warriors who served the state and thier form of democracy while brutalizing those who they enslaved they were fierce, they were unrelenting in battle, and they served with utmost loyalty to death to each other and thier code. Lance Armstrong's a guy who rode a bike fast and took drugs to win races for game and money and bullied the people who would have outed him for it...... There's really no damn comparison at all......
I used to be a die hard fan of Lance. Not anymore. I don't talk down on him as I don't have the right to do so. When he was doping, all the other top riders were on drugs so it was a level playing field in that respect. But the biggest difference is that Lance really did wage a brutal war on anyone who questioned his honesty. Many of those people were no saints either and were just looking for their 15 minutes of fame by trying to pull Lance down, I'll give you that. But still it was a very nasty business from him indeed, he pretty much tried everything to ruin those people's lives. I still regard him as an exceptionally talented and amazing athlete, nobody in their right minds would question that. I just lost my respect for him as a decent human being.
Richard Serban Good summary. I would add that when a lie has gotten as big as it did (almost considered a god amongst men, fighting cancer, livestrong etc) it becomes almost impossible to tell the whole truth, and you would do almost anything in order to maintain the lie. Cant say most men wouldn't have done the same, although it takes a "sociopathic" personality to get to that stage in the first place.
He fought back against people who are actively trying to destroy him like Walsh and like the absolutely despicable Greg lemond.
Carbon, I get what you are saying, but as TheSteninbitt wrote, he was a sociopath who tried to stop his lie from getting out, so he actively tried to bully those who were trying to tell the truth. I cant say who started their side first, Lance being a bully and trying to destroy lives or those who were telling their story, but the thing of it is, he was in the wrong, so he should have just admitted it and used "EVERYONE was doping" as an argument. I already knew that everyone was, so I would have supported him, and other people like me, if he would have simply said "Yeah, you got me. I doped like a MFer, and this is how I did it."
Carbon Crank Just how is Greg Lemond despicable??
48 laws of power, crush your opponent entirely, defend reputation at all costs
1:26 - that is an epic shot!
Easy to hate from the couch. Regardless of the past lance is still getting it done and is one of the fittest men on earth undoubtedly out dominating a completely different sport. Hats off, past is the past.
Lance is a rockstar
He has been tested for VO2 max, and he has been if not the highest one of the top 10. He competed in Ironman with pros almost 10 years younger al age 40!!! He has been accused when on his 20s when he started triathlon, and won never popped positive way before USPS and Discovery.
For LA it was all about him first team last and sure he cycled but was he truly into cycling like the other guys were as most of them would only do cycling. I think Lance was a triathlete and to be a great cyclist at the pro level he had to resort to drugs and boosting to win. Until he got cancer and lost weight he was not really up there in the top end. I believe that the loss of weight and the drugs gave him the edge in pro cycling.
People can change for the better. And that is what makes the world beautiful. Go Lance!
Lance accomplished what he did. And that is Amazing. He was there. He knows what it feels like to push the human body. To hurt and go on. A Magnificent Athlete. Still one of my Heros
Armstrong is still a hero no matter what.
He was top dog in a dope ridden sport, and he played the innocent card for years, with constant threats against anyone who dared to question his use of drugs. That is why he is reviled in the cycling world.
Lance is a machine!
Lance you will always remain a hero....
Lance Armstrong has always had amazing physical conditions. He did the same than others.
So , AWESOME!!!
WAY TO GO!!!=)=)
GOOD JOB!!!!
I like his yellow cap, a big middle finger to the haters.
Why do people get so angry about things that really don't involve them? Sounds like a character flaw to me.
I hope he returns to competition and wins to prove he can still outdo everyone without drugs. Sure, the training he was able to accomplish while on PEDs may have given him an edge after all these years, but there is no way to confirm that. He did more good than bad when looking at the sum of everything. It's time for redemption.
plumbing -be positive!!!!!! i've won as many tours as lance has. my local fitness centre is now selling livestrong cycle machines with a free drip stand as a novelty to get rid of them.
Regardless if all other cyclists were on drugs also I still don't know why you would want to do it as well. How could you truly feel you accomplished a victory knowing deep down you cheated? I know at that racing level you want badly to win but look what it got him. The guy is still a great athlete. We all make mistakes. And he did overcome cancer and still did what he loved to do which was race on the bike.
He still had the morality to admit it, and that takes bravery of another sort.
doping aside I will always beleive that many in the professional Triathlon world didn't want him to compete. I think some were a bit scared a what might happen.
Juiced up to the max...
Lance will always have my respect beastmode!
lance Armstrong is doing all this with one ball
And mainly biathlons refer to skiing or running around with a rifle and taking shots accurately to improve your time.
Most top level pro athletes dope. He's till an incredible athlete though
*still
+JUSTIN hey mate hes a junkie, a doper, a cheat...dont you get it?
+JUSTIN He's a Cheat. You obviously are Not an Athlete; Im guessing a Liberal? LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER!
+Neil R hey buddy, all cyclists dope so just Lance dopes, it makes no difference.
@@neilr5335 you need to look in the mirror Mr. PERFECT! I am sure you have skeletons...........no matter we all sin. There are no levels of it.....if you have wronged then you have done the SAME as Lance. Least not be judged.....
His ban is still "lifetime" -- I don't miss the guy one bit.
lance crushing everyone!
At least the guy got some talent. Don't hate the player hate the game ;-) Just be ready to pay the time if you do the crime that's all. Especially if you have sellout drugies as friends.
Yes he can!
Source d'inspiration
No, I mean, I want to actually row instead of swim.
I've got a bigger, stronger upper body, but I've got plenty of slow twitch muscles. I'd love to try out rowing...
I just don't like swimming.
But a biathlon might be in my picture someday, but for now I'm building up cycling.
If youre not cheating youre not trying - Lance Armstrong
EPO Champ!
Good thing you tube can't broadcast smells cause that floater would stink up the internet
Anyone know where the music was taken from by any chance?
i smiled from ear to ear when i saw this. haha
Lance, don't give up brother, you're still an inspiration to me.
All those trying to defend Lance Armstrong by saying he never failed a drugs test, please wake up
I'm so glad that USADA banned him from all competitions before Lance could win the 2012 Ironman World Championships in Kona and thus destroy the credibility of the Ironman name forever.
Anybody knows what the name of that suit what Armstrong using here during running and biking?
Just because he doped for the Iron man doesn't mean he did here. Everyone in cycling at the top doped, he was the one they chose for the witch hunt. He's still the best, that will never change. You people are easily led by the media. Like sheep, one by one you follow.
Spoiler!
Loser is wearing yellow livestrong cap.
At least he had the ball to admit he lied.
Doctor Mabuse était en voyage à HAwai ...?

I agree Lance was a dumbass, I agree he intimidated others for his benefit. I'm reluctantly glad he was busted to "clean up" the cycling sport. There is no making excuses for what he did. There are no apologies loud enough or sincere enough to take away his guilt and shame. All of us who loved and admired him are saddened by his total lack of humility. It WAS a waste...a waste of a career, a waste of effort and it became misdirected anger and hostility at teammates. All of his accomplishments are gone, even beating cancer - as nobody cares. In spite of this Lance was one of the greatest competitors ever to ride a bicycle. This is not an excuse but, oh so many doped at the top level. To be competitive he doped or lost. In hindsight - he should have lost, But that's not Lance, that's not cycling of the 2000s. The UCI didn't award the next person the Tour yellow because they knew so many doped that they couldn't sort it all out. If there was testing in the 1950s - 1990s many other "Heros" mentioned on here might have been busted. Lance, you're a dumbass, but I wish I had 1/10 of your competitive spirit and determination.
Considering he cheated his way to the TdF podium 8 times can we assume when he set a new course record last year in Hawaii he was clean??
Doper no doubt
They all doped he was just the best doper
I hope they tested him after the race
anyone know his exact regimen? like what he stacked? doses? cause that must be one GOOD ASS COMBO!
How did he win? Have they tested him?
The things you can achieve when you cheat..... inspiring! Truly...
Triatlon ❤❤❤👏👏👏
Someone should make a triathlon where you row instead of swim
I hate swimming but like running and love cycling. And my body shape would be pretty decent for rowing.
I don't think so either, I was arguing my opinion that he was obviously on PEDS so why are you trying to convince me he is, WHEN I ALREADY THINK SO lol
2:08 "hold up gotta turn my swag on" lol
People forget what a great swimmer Armstrong was as a youth before he ever got involved in triathlon around age 15. That feel for the water and basic technique doesn't go away, which is why he was able to resume training and come out of the water here within seconds of the lead.
He was beating other Pro Triathletes at 16
Amazing what dope can do.
@@rylanrussell9595 Good one😴
@@squacamole3599 Wasn't a joke you fucking idiot. No sarcasm, just a straight forward response. I'm utterly unimpressed by any of Lance's achievements.

1:03 They all knew they were fucked.
He wasn’t doping as a 16yr old pushing Mark Alan and the other Pro triathletes to the limit
The guy was an amazing athlete from the start .
But he did dope, lied about it and destroyed the lives of anyone that called him out
@@mintheman7 certainly wouldn’t argue he was a decent honest person and could say at that time he was the best thief in a den of thieves but wow was it exiting to watch .
Not in comparison to international class athletes
Truth is ALL the elite competitors during his career were. Don't do it, be very average or not even be able to be competitive at all. People are fooling themselves if they think otherwise. At the end of the day it's the entertainment field and boy did he entertain! Now his vicious attacks on those that questioned him is another conversation. Beyond ugly.
Hahahaha this guy just cant stand not winning for a few years. He must enter competetions constantly. The beast.
@m you're fat.
He’s an Alpha , you’re a Beta . That’s the difference.

@@spaceman9599 I didn't mention anything about steroids or epo.
@@BobbyL80123 Sorry man, addressed to wrong person. Corrected.
EPO isn't steroids Durantest
There's two kinds of professional athletes: the ones that get caught cheating and the ones that don't get caught cheating.
there are three: those who confess to doping . Lol
Diego Solis You really forgot the ones who don't dope^^ There are always a handfull who are just talented not doped.
Diego Solis you obviously dont know the world of cycling. There are two kinds of athletes yes, the ones that dope and the ones that dont want to poison their bodies with disgusting drugs. When the second kind of athlete succeeds over the first kind, its beautiful.
+Diego Solis Some of them don't get caught cheating... because they're not cheating at all!
+Diego Solis Oh, and the third kind ... the kind that when get caught cheating bribe the officials and threaten others so that the "caught" is not divulged. Don't forget the third kind.LA ran out of "cheating on his getting caught cheating", when that USADA guy got a hold of his case.
I could watch Armstrongs form on the bike all day. Wild cadance yet maximum efficiency, just poetry in motion.
Really was too bad we saw him complete a full IM in Nice or somewhere else. I wanted to see his bike time and compare it to how tired he would look and show on the run afterwards, if nothing else then for science.
Lance is a monster
@@alvmusic4402 no he isn't
@@alvmusic4402 and I'm thankful that the public opinion of people is not the final judgement.. you are all merciless and that's why forgiveness that matters is not up to you or determined by you. You can't handle such things. You don't have the temperance or intelligence.
Just forgetting all the drugs stuff for a minute.... he's an amazing athlete. To be fair his skills on the bike are so good that as long as he can swim a bit and put one foot in front of the other he's in with a good chance of winning a triathlon like this. Respect.
No dude he is rhe biggest cheater the world has known so if he wants to do sports just practise alone. He should not be in compet again and never
Flyff alive looks like somebody is salty 😂
No
I agree with you 💯 ! back in the day when I used to compete in triathlons I was the worst swimmer finished sooo slow was just horrible. I was such a strong biker that for 1hr I would do nothing but pass riders. On the run I could just keep with the pack at best. Would always finish top 10 in my age. Biking portion is huuuuge you are right 👍
Eh NO
It is easy to forget how talented and driven this guy is, even at 16 Lance was beating 25 and 30 year old pro triathletes. He was unlucky to be in an era of cycling where everyone doped, it overshadowed how good he really was because people think that he won only because he cheated. If everyone including lance were clean he still would have won and people that know pro cycling well all admit that Lance is still an all time great if not the greatest of all time.
Uh... no. I know pro-cycling plenty well and I do not consider Armstrong either great in any way--aside from perhaps the greatest cock-sucking douchebag cheating pro cyclist in the history of the sport. He is a quintessential narcissist, a liar, a bully, a fraud, a thief. He's a legend alright... but the legend is about how NOT to act as a professional athlete... or as a human being. He didn't cheat to win just once... he did it over and over and over again--robbing the Tour de France of SEVEN years of winners. That scar will be on the sport forever.
I mostly agree, but I doubt he would still win without doping. The reason is his natural red blood cells level was low which made him a hyper responder to blood doping. Blood doping gave him a bigger advantage than the others
If he was the only dope maybe we can condemn him
God bless you Lance
No blessings....he's still a sociopath who hurt a lot of real human beings. Could not care less about the Tour De France. But there are lots of victims of his con.
Arturo amigo, tooooodos se dopan
Arturo entiende si todos se dopan entonces esta bien !
Other people doing bad things doesn't justify you doing it. If you get arrested for stealing can you say "oh well other people are thieves as well".
He directly and maliciously ruined people's careers and lives over his megalomania and greed and you give him blessings. Do you think your god would like that?
Mr Toad on that era doping was the rule not the exception. UCI allow it for the show until it stinks. Its not it was Lance a few more. It was 100% of the top riders. No justification just a fact, everybody we’re cheating, the whole game was a fraud!
You're forgetting that at that time all cyclists were all on drugs, so it was a level playing field...survival of the fittest...He's still a legend, and an excellent athlete.
your forgetting that there were those who were not on drugs, those who spoke out, and lance aggressively sued them for trying to make the truth public knowledge, hes a horrible human being.
Gregory Barber Let's see you accomplish what Lance did and then talk shit
how am i talking s**t? he's a cheat, always was and always will be nothing you ever say will change that, he IS a cheat and a nasty one at that
*****
I'm sorry, but you're asking who gets hurt? What about the hundreds of other cyclists in the world who are trying to make a living from the sport. It's true that in perspective of other travesties it might not seem like much, but the fact remains that while Lance Armstrong was an amazing athlete, he was also a cheat, one that ruined the sport for many others.
I'm sorry but as some one who enjoys sport, I believe in fair play by all those who compete, the idea that lance is a great guy because other people were cheating is insanity. Also of course some kid dying of dehydration is a bigger issue but it's also a very separate issue, who are you to tell me what to have opinions on? Lance was utterly ruthless to those who spoke out against what he did, that in my view makes him a very bad human being. He is a man without integrity or a conscience. He has cast a long lasting dark shadow on a great sport.
Lance will always be an inspiration to me... He's a fighter... He's a champion... No governing body will be able to take that away from him in my mind...

It remains bullshit. The US government has not complaint of harm done. They wanted advertising, they got it. It does them no damage for him to get busted 10 years later, and it's ridiculous to bitch that you didn't like the sandwich that you ordered and ate quite happily a decade ago and now you want your cash back.
Feel free to hate Lance all you want, but try being logical about it and recognize a frivolous lawsuit when you see it.

LoL He must have killed it on the cycling portion!
Probably not the fastest @ running or swimming though.
He was a competitive triathlete before he became a cyclist. That's what got him into cycling. Swimming was originally his best event.
Armstrong clearly has some great genetic advantages. His oversized heart can beat over 200 times a minute and thus pump an extraordinarily large volume of blood and oxygen to his legs
Correct me if I'm wrong but surely having a larger heart would mean less beats per minute, as each heart beat is more efficient and can pump more blood around the body? Isn't that why endurance athletes tend to have extremely low resting heart rate?
He has a naturally shitty v02 max and isn’t an elite athlete. He just brought cheating to a new level.

Did he win this clean? It doesn't matter. We can never trust him again because of the degree to which he lied and coerced others to lie or leave. He bullied other people who supported their families through professional sports, and made tremendous amounts of money doing so.
If he was a wealthy banker would you cry foul? For those bankers who cheated people, is it ok because others were doing it too?

Livestrong is a positive message. It's personal. It's the day to day. This is the true gift of Lance Armstrong. He is not responsible for how you play the game or the expectations required of the endorsers or the bar that the sport itself raises on each individual athlete. The blame should be shared by all.

absolutely deluded if you think he is mediocre
Alright, haven't you all (commenters) beaten this to death already?
Ok, Armstrong doped, but let's put some things into perspective:
1) You and I probably weren't professional cyclists in the early 2000s. We have no real bearing or gauge on the scale and pressure of doping in this time other than the testimony and confessions of the riders and teams which experienced it.
1b) There is good ground to assume most cyclists in this era were doping, the best example being 1998, the 'Tour du Dopage'.
2) He doped in cycling. Here we are now in triathlon, and I, despite never supporting Armstrong, am quite disappointed in the way some people are reacting. Unless or until there is some kind of proof that Armstrong is doping still, his tri results are completely valid and respectable.
3) A kind of double standard is being set in the Armstrong hate comments, in that nobody really had or has much argument about Ullrich, Vinokourov, Contador, E. Merckx, and many other famous cyclists who doped in their career.
The difference between Armstrong those other guys was he used his position to intimidate and damaged people lives. I liked Armstrong, until I read about how he treated the people trying to tell the truth. You should read how he fucked over Greg LeMond, the only American to legitimately win the Tour de France. The man is a national disgrace, not as much over the doping, as to his unethical behavior and conduct toward others.
We can add Fausto Coppi to the list. He admitted doping as well, but it was before anyone really cared about it (TV interview 1952)
Watch the interview. When she asks him if he cheated, listen to his answer.
Did you notice who did not have the helmet strap on? Lance of course, the great cheater.
Double check it. It was just super loose.
It's like he'd still win the tour de france when we see his pedaling frequency
Read some books about people who have come across Lance's path.. Kinda paints him as an incredible nasty person... Don't cross him, or threaten him in any way. He is very much the bully!!! I don't like cheering for any bullies!!
