I used to be a die hard fan of Lance. Not anymore. I don't talk down on him as I don't have the right to do so. When he was doping, all the other top riders were on drugs so it was a level playing field in that respect. But the biggest difference is that Lance really did wage a brutal war on anyone who questioned his honesty. Many of those people were no saints either and were just looking for their 15 minutes of fame by trying to pull Lance down, I'll give you that. But still it was a very nasty business from him indeed, he pretty much tried everything to ruin those people's lives. I still regard him as an exceptionally talented and amazing athlete, nobody in their right minds would question that. I just lost my respect for him as a decent human being.
Richard Serban Good summary. I would add that when a lie has gotten as big as it did (almost considered a god amongst men, fighting cancer, livestrong etc) it becomes almost impossible to tell the whole truth, and you would do almost anything in order to maintain the lie. Cant say most men wouldn't have done the same, although it takes a "sociopathic" personality to get to that stage in the first place.
Carbon, I get what you are saying, but as TheSteninbitt wrote, he was a sociopath who tried to stop his lie from getting out, so he actively tried to bully those who were trying to tell the truth. I cant say who started their side first, Lance being a bully and trying to destroy lives or those who were telling their story, but the thing of it is, he was in the wrong, so he should have just admitted it and used "EVERYONE was doping" as an argument. I already knew that everyone was, so I would have supported him, and other people like me, if he would have simply said "Yeah, you got me. I doped like a MFer, and this is how I did it."
You're forgetting that at that time all cyclists were all on drugs, so it was a level playing field...survival of the fittest...He's still a legend, and an excellent athlete.

So here you have it, he can handily beat everyone 'clean' in a world class triathlon as well as doped (as they all were back then) in arguably the most gruelling professional sport in the world.
Alright, haven't you all (commenters) beaten this to death already? Ok, Armstrong doped, but let's put some things into perspective: 1) You and I probably weren't professional cyclists in the early 2000s. We have no real bearing or gauge on the scale and pressure of doping in this time other than the testimony and confessions of the riders and teams which experienced it. 1b) There is good ground to assume most cyclists in this era were doping, the best example being 1998, the 'Tour du Dopage'. 2) He doped in cycling. Here we are now in triathlon, and I, despite never supporting Armstrong, am quite disappointed in the way some people are reacting. Unless or until there is some kind of proof that Armstrong is doping still, his tri results are completely valid and respectable. 3) A kind of double standard is being set in the Armstrong hate comments, in that nobody really had or has much argument about Ullrich, Vinokourov, Contador, E. Merckx, and many other famous cyclists who doped in their career.
The difference between Armstrong those other guys was he used his position to intimidate and damaged people lives. Mr Toad on that era doping was the rule not the exception. UCI allow it for the show until it stinks. Its not it was Lance a few more. It was 100% of the top riders. No justification just a fact, everybody we’re cheating, the whole game was a fraud!

Livestrong should not have unaffiliated themselves with him...he has raised more money for his foundation and done more good than bad...he is still a rock star in my book! Go Lance! You deserve to win!
Keith Greenan a great athlete no doubt, and maybe on a level playing field where no one was doping he may have won. But without cheating during that time while everyone else was, he would have been middle of the pack at best. The doping just helps out too much to be able to beat them.
1001chillout Its very hard for a cyclist to be completely natural in cycling. In the 1970s the cyclists mainly took some meth now you have a lot of PEDS. Greg Lemon claims he was allways completely natural, there is no way to know that.
Keith Greenan The season before he returned showed he was a mediorce sports person. He could only win because of the drugs. if he is winning its because he is on something.
I get it. Athletes who get caught dopping lie for many reasons, especially loosing endorsements. But Lance threw his friends under the bus by exposing them to authorities for doping and denied he ever took anything. If you read is autobiography, he actually says he did! Exactly, He has always been a born competitor. The people who seem to want to burn this guy at the stake are the ones who know very little about sports at the professional level, let alone steroids! Basically, they're ignorant as hell and have probably never won anything in their life except maybe a game of Halo, lol.

Dope or not, lance is still an amazing athlete. He must be respected for his effort and victories on and off the bike.
lol
1:26 - that is an epic shot!
If he was the only dope maybe we can condemn him
God bless you Lance
No blessings....he's still a sociopath who hurt a lot of real human beings. Could not care less about the Tour De France. But there are lots of victims of his con.
Arturo amigo, tooooodos se dopan
Arturo entiende si todos se dopan entonces esta bien !
Other people doing bad things doesn't justify you doing it. If you get arrested for stealing can you say "oh well other people are thieves as well".
He directly and maliciously ruined people's careers and lives over his megalomania and greed and you give him blessings. Do you think your god would like that?
Mr Toad on that era doping was the rule not the exception. UCI allow it for the show until it stinks. Its not it was Lance a few more. It was 100% of the top riders. No justification just a fact, everybody we’re cheating, the whole game was a fraud!
When he gets on the bike, game over man GAME OVER!
awesome Lance GOAT
Easy to hate from the couch. Regardless of the past lance is still getting it done and is one of the fittest men on earth undoubtedly out dominating a completely different sport. Hats off, past is the past.
Thank you Lance!
1:25
Rainbow that is a beautiful view
Guys wheelset looks pimp the front spokes look like there even moving and those black and white colors looks steez
Wow, Ironman really does everything for making business. I'd rather go for the Challenge series.
He hadn’t run or swam for over 10 years properly rocks up and annihilates triathletes who have been doing all three disciplines for years whatever you think of him you’ve got to say he was a phenomenal athlete
That's the DOPE! This makes me want to GROW as an athlete.
Are you one of them now ?
It's like he'd still win the tour de france when we see his pedaling frequency
Have they stripped Lance of this win as yet?
They should... helmet not buckled flying down the road... it's at least a time penalty at worst a full on DQ,
True about the Tour de France, but this isn't the TdF...it's the Ironman! He won this fair and square.
no matter what Lance! you're still the one who inspires me to live a healthy lifestyle. God bless u always
Waow that was EP(O)IC!!!
As a human, might be not be the best example out there. But as an athlete,he was and still is one of the greatest
Mohit Hardikar that is one of the dumbest comments on you tube
90% of all athletes you see on TV take some form of performance enhancement drug , the other 10% are either coach`s or commentators .
Louis Cyphre So the other 10% are no athletes??
Lance was not the only one doping on the tour...not for us to judge. He is still one of the most phenomenal athletes on this planet doping or not. Livestrong should not have unaffiliated themselves with him...he has raised more money for his foundation and done more good than bad...he is still a rock star in my book! Go Lance! You deserve to win!
Anyone know where the music was taken from by any chance?
Lance is the biggest legend in cycling history. He was the best of the dopers.
And he has raised over a half a billion dollars for charity and given hope to people with cancer. Still a hero!!
As if they almost finish an Ironman before I finish a marathon
Half ironman....
Lance Armstrong best tour de france wim
You need to take lance pills
Leon Beale this is only a half Ironman
Liz Ard 7:35:...
Doesn't anyone have something nice to say? Good job athletes!
Anybody knows what the name of that suit what Armstrong using here during running and biking?
I think Lance Armstrong could have won one tour de france without drugs. I think he was still one of the greatest endurance athletes of all time.
Keith Greenan hahahahahahha. He was a great one day racer and US Postal got their ass kicked in Europe without drugs. You are so wrong lol
True dat!
Fantástico, este é Lance Armstrong.
Uma lenda, o melhor.
Watch the interview. When she asks him if he cheated, listen to his answer.
What are the songs in this video? Specifically the one starting at 1:33 ?
When did this take place?
I get it. Athletes who get caught dopping lie for many reasons, especially loosing endorsements. But Lance threw his friends under the bus by exposing them to authorities for doping and denied he ever took anything. If you read is autobiography, he actually says he did! To me this says alot about his character and I have 0 respect for him!
LoL He must have killed it on the cycling portion!
Probably not the fastest @ running or swimming though.
He was a competitive triathlete before he became a cyclist. That's what got him into cycling. Swimming was originally his best event.
that was DOPE!
no matter what happened to Lance, steroids do not make a champion, the champion trains everyday to be the best! lance be my hero forever! encouragement! admit and acknowledge that mistakes were made is human
Is the cap juiced ?
Dope.
🤣
bike: checked
trainers: checked
trisuit: checked
doping: done
Lance accomplished what he did. And that is Amazing. He was there. He knows what it feels like to push the human body. To hurt and go on. A Magnificent Athlete. Still one of my Heros
If I was the blue jersey guy who won second place. I would spend my old years telling over and over the story of how Lance Armstrong, an actual cycling pro, beat my by 3 minutes in a Triathlon.
For people accusing him for being mean.. If you re an average dude and wants to be extremely successful, this is what you have to become... NOTE: you have to be extremely talented both mentally and physically to be successful and nice at the same time...
I totally don't get all the vitriol directed at Lance. Yea, he cheated, but it isn't as if a little bit of doping turned him from a couch-potato UA-cam commenter into one of the top performing athletes in the world.
Exactly, He has always been a born competitor. The
people who seem to want to burn this guy at the stake are the ones who know very little about sports at the professional level, let alone steroids! Basically, they're ignorant as hell and have probably never won anything in their life except maybe a game of Halo, lol.
Sam Smith
He's not a born competitor. You are not born as a winner or loser, it's your choice.
He won by bribing officials, coercing, suing anyone who spoke out against him, and cultivating the most organized doped team in pro sports history (USPS).
He was and is a total a-hole.
Innis Mor Like if the other lads weren't doping as well. Lance probably does more exercise in a year than what you'll do in your entire life, so let's just stay quiet and watch these awesome guys break a sweat.
(I am a roadie myself, so don't come to me with the "I'm a senior athlete" speech)
Joao Pedro
its what he did to hide his doping that makes people truely hate lance
for me he wil always be livestrong
he is a legend
A fake legend
Good to see he is still doping, this guy doesn't care what anyone thinks.
he shouldn't they doubted jesus also just saying
*Lance Armstrong one of top 5 athletes of all time.*
FACTS
No.
So inspirational 👏
Lance you are still my hero.
Steroidssssss
Dope works
It is stupid to blame him and take all the awards from him. He was on dope, so everyone else, but he still climbed the hill quicker than others. Point a world champion free of drugs.
+Jakub Bednarczyk No you produce evidence and find the champions that are on the juice. Innocent until proven guilty is how it goes and LA was proven to be guilty.
he was never proven to be guilty he never failed a drug test the only reason why he got caught cuz he confess
this is incorrect. He failed several and others retested later on came back positive as well.
Lance is a rockstar
Does anyone know what watch lance has on here??
The part about him I love the most is when he destroyed that woman's career and reputation by slandering her and calling her a drunk and an escort! What do you like best?
Lance Armstrong has always had amazing physical conditions. He did the same than others.
The fucking boss.
Question: Does the 70.3 go into the Energy Lab on the run like the the Ironman World Championships does?
Was lance on the Juice for his last three Tours and his comeback to Triathlon?
Great! Respect!
Did he get drugs tested?
take drugs go compete with him and see if you'll beat him
@@josephmaina1669 worst logic
*Power of EPO ! Respect Armstrong* 💪
People can change for the better. And that is what makes the world beautiful. Go Lance!
anybody know if this was before or after he was stripped of all his tdf titles?
People are right to condemn this "man". He sued the people in the past who, at the time correctly accused him of cheating. He essentially ruined their careers. The guy is a bitch, nothing more, nothing less.
Everybody saying "he was just trying to keep up with the rest of the cheaters" well yeah, that's no excuse though... infact it's just really sad...
Yeah, he really is a bad dude.
Success seems to make people blind to the fact her harassed and bullied people into cheating.
+xananadu Sour grapes. Lance wannabe.
+xananadu ''this guy is a bitch, nothing more, nothing less'' okay, but he still raised millions of dollars for the fight against cancer, saved thousands of lives, raised money for children, etc. YOU, what did you do?
Well said....not really the doping I have a problem with but once caught he should have just admitted it instead of harassing and bulling others and basically ruined their careers as you've pointed out. Everybody knows most top cyclists dope so once you're caught let it be and move to another sport lol...
xananadu
He's still the boss, everyone's on drugs..
Most top level pro athletes dope. He's till an incredible athlete though
*still
+JUSTIN hey mate hes a junkie, a doper, a cheat...dont you get it?
+JUSTIN He's a Cheat. You obviously are Not an Athlete; Im guessing a Liberal? LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER!
+Neil R hey buddy, all cyclists dope so just Lance dopes, it makes no difference.
@@neilr5335 you need to look in the mirror Mr. PERFECT! I am sure you have skeletons...........no matter we all sin. There are no levels of it.....if you have wronged then you have done the SAME as Lance. Least not be judged.....
Doctor Mabuse était en voyage à HAwai ...?
So , AWESOME!!!
WAY TO GO!!!=)=)
GOOD JOB!!!!
Smoke weed everyday...
The EPO man
Is it really cheating when you are just trying to keep up with the rest of the cheating field. love seeing Lance doing triathlon!
Your mind is fucked
Not everybody was in the Juice in that era. For all those who weren't on the juice is it wrong that a man that was taking roids was awarded the GC yellow jersey
Albin111 if you don't think everyone that was going for the GC was juicing I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you to buy.
Is it really rape, when other people do it too?
theAbeElement If it's against the rules and 100 of 100 riders dope, they're all cheats.
Rules are rules and they apply to everyone.
Personnally, I really don't care that he took dope, like so many runners, on the Tour de France... This video is simply beautiful to watch.
I don't care what anyone says. Lance Armstrong is an absolute animal.
