You’re fishing 1 minute from my house....I had no idea bass got that big or were even swimming in the Bay. I ice fish there basically daily in the winter for Lakers, Whitefish and the occasional Ling, im surprised I’ve never hooked into a bass. This is an awesome video!

Just want to say, there are several organizations that are doing great things to protect the fish populations on Simcoe. Sure people are keeping them, but in the most part those people are not the same people that are out catching the 5+ pounders on a regular basis. Generally, and there are exceptions, most of the fish being eaten are in the 1-2 pound range.
I had to work until after dark today, wanted to hit that same boat launch so bad today. At least someone got out there and smashed it!
