Enjoyed on replay, and got lots of ideas. Thanks, Patricia & Mariah. I'm not sure I ever caught the reason for using the Neo II crayons instead of the Neo I to do the rubbings, though.
So the Neo II are the watercolor ones and I think P used those because she wanted a little movement with them.... To be honest not totally sure on that. I personally go for the Neo I's for the waxy resist, they still have a little smudging like crayons but not like oil pastels and the watercolour ones.
.P.: regarding self dialogue as my great granddaddy used to say, " When i want to talk to someone who completely understands me, then I talk to myself"😉
Catching the replay. Love the rubbings look...and wondering why you chose the watercolor moveable neocolors instead of oilpastels like I have seen you use in rubbings before.
Thank you so much! The Neocolors I used are the Neocolor I Wax water-resistant pastels. I don't like using the oil pastels that P typically uses and we both really love these. The color is awesome and bonus they don't smear like the oil pastels. We do also have a small set of the watercolor ones.
That goat is wearing a Hedda Hopper hat, and headed to Royal Ascot to show off its royal chapeaux. 🎶"Keep young and beautiful! It's your duty to be beautiful!...If you're seen anywhere with your hat off, have a Marcel wave in your hair!" 🎶😉 Regarding PM Artist Studio's 8 year celebration...the numeral 8, oriented horizontally becomes the symbol for infinity. Just a thought and a wish for your continued growth and success... "I couldn't find my tiny heart...." and, "Your heart should be among the flowers..." Should be lines from a song, or the caption on an ATC!
Oh Jerald, you make my heart sing!!!!!!! I love the quotes but will change among to amongst just to tickle my fancy:). Thank you for the 8 info--it's a standing joke on how long it will take me to complete a project...I shall sign and send you the goat only if you desperately desire it and commit to enshrining it in a gold frame. Do let me know. I'm still working on the flower ATC and the quote...hmmm thinking about changing should to needs; what thinkist you dear heart????
@@patriciarcarmichael1219 I am glad that I bring a smile to you with my quotes. For the exact wording of the heart quotes, well, far be it from me to tell Michelangelo how to paint the Sistine Chapel ("Hey, Mikie, baby, how about adding some clowns to that mural?" The Inquisition would have had me on the pyre in nothing flat😉 As for your offer of the goat in a Hedda Hopper Hat, YES, Please! I would be honored! Mail here is not the most reliable, but then, is anything, these days?
@@PMartistStudio If you are not familiar with the song, Google Annie Lenox + Keep Young and Beautiful. I have forgotten which cd, but it is from the 1990s.
Patricia, 35:49 what about putting the Blick acrylic medium onto a gelli plate and putting the rubbing on it face down (without brayering on top), then carefully pulling up after a minute or two before it dries? Would that work?
Yes that is definitely an option... we have done that in the past with the oil pastels and works quite well. There are sometime resist areas but that is also cool. Reading back this might be a different thing you are talking about and interesting to consider. Thank you!
Catching the replay for what I missed this morning. Had a question that I did not hear the answer. The red ink and black stamp pad ink: do you need to wait until the first ink is dry before using the black ink? It appeared that the red ink takes longer to dry. Thank you.
I haven't been able to find the red tin type we have but these are the pads from the same brand as the ink amzn.to/3CpXmQj the one we have is the No 60 size.

It was to show how they would react on the gel plate--just didn't make it to that part in the live stream. I did finally get there on Sunday:)
I got a beautiful maple barren with the color wheel in the top in trade for the burl.
Ohhh wonderful!

When it is applied to the Yasutomo papers it dries pretty quick but yes you would want to make sure it is dry.
Thank you Mariah, appreciate you both.❤
Where do you get the soft pads you added the red ink to?
