every time he says his name followed by "I'm a board certified beverly hills plastic surgeon" he looks like he's saying a tongue twister and it's so funny to me
I had a Deep plane face lift, Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty and CO2 peel 9 months ago. It was done by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in a big city. I am completely disappointed!! First my right side and left side are not the same. Left side is slightly better but there are still yawls and nasolabial folds present on both sides. Also my upper eyelid especially on the right side has an overhang and under the right eye it is still visibly puffy. Surgeon was going to perform a correction surgery after 8 months which a cancelled because I felt it was too soon after original surgery. Also, I have to pay again!! And I have to go under general anaesthetic again. I also did not say anything to anyone about this surgery and not a single person noticed I had anything done.
Great video, thank you! This cleared up what will and won’t work for my issues- I always thought a face lift included the whole face and left a super stretched out look. But I understand it better now. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the information. I went to few plastic surgeons and some of them told me I’m too young for a face lift, and some of them suggested facelift. I’m 37 years old.
Great video and very informative! I loved how the Dr. touched on marketing terms. My undergrad is in Communications because I thought I wanted to be a Public Information Officer and that was my pet peeves, all the terms. I digress, now I’m k ow that in my 50s I will get a full face lift, God willing. No one tells you about the 3 differentiated parts of a facelift. 🤦🏻♀️
It's a deep plane face lift, some surgeons for marketing reasons, say they came up with their own techniques, while the truth is - it's the same deep plane lift, no one has reinvented the wheel, but when you give it a catchy name, it sounds better, I also think it minimizes the gravity of the scary sounding 'deep plane facelift surgery'. 'Aura lift', 'Vertical restore' -are deep plane lifts.
I'm going for a neck and face lift this year. I'm concerned that my doc does the incision pre-tragus and doesn't do the neck incision under the chin. Should I look for a different surgeon?
I’d like to learn more about what clients do under the neck. Do you have a lot of surgeries that address tightening or removal of fat there, or is that typically coupled with other surgeries (ie face lift)
Do you do all your procedures with local or general anesthesia? Would like if you explain what is best approach by procedure. I was surprised a facelift could be done without general anesthesia!
Can you talk about Martha Stewart? She recently turned 80 and looks absolutely fabulous. Clearly she must have had some things done, but it's all subtle and very well done. Her and Christie Brinkley must share the same doctors, ha!
I met a dentist once who at my very first appointment instead of discussing my teeth offered me a treatment plan of thread lifts and Morpheus. I was like… y know I’m here to get my teeth cleaned right? But I will definitely look into this and consult a cosmetic surgeon if needed.
I'd love to know as well! She does look amazing for a woman in her eighties. I'd probably stop dying my hair at that point, you're not fooling anyone with that lol

Wow. Your story scares me.

Super helpful video! Thanks for explaining, doc....but where is your Social Media Director? I want to hear his sassy questions.
Lol! I think you'll be hearing him in the next video 😀
Hahaha! I love that guy too! He asks a lot of questions I would want to ask, but would be too shy to actually just ask. 👍🏻

I'm over 50, and same thing: one surgeon suggested just a Y-Lift, while another said deep plane... I don't want either. I'm shopping for a MACS lift.
If someone wears a tight ponytail for so many years will they not be at a higher risk of traction alopecia?
that can happen for sure w extensions
Yes, higher risk
You are really amazing Doc… Respect for you
Great video as usual, thank you for all the clear definitions/explanations of the various procedures. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for watching, Chris!
Well done. Ty for truth and not lying.
Very well explained. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Sonja Morgan was done right! She looks as Dr. M always says....looks rested.

Great breakdown - well explained. What is a “vertical lift”. ? I’ve been seeing that term lately. Is that another name for the ponytail lift?
Right? I also see “vertical restore”.
Marketing term FL

@@3Kaia Good point.

This video helped me realize I will never do a facelift in the US and will most likely stick to SK. So many better techniques here.
Very very informative. Dr. Gary do you operate at a major medical center? And when do you tell a patient that they are not a candidate for surgery?
Your work is beautiful. Can you recommend a surgeon in the Chicago area? 🙂
Excellent presentation. I'm 66 and will be looking for a full facelift.

From my understanding there’s a neck lift. It addresses just the neck I think.
Excellent information!
Thanks for watching!

Dr Motykie: Do you have a ‘Deep Plane vs SMAS’ video?
Can you talk about Martha Stewart? She recently turned 80 and looks absolutely fabulous. Clearly she must have had some things done, but it's all subtle and very well done. Her and Christie Brinkley must share the same doctors, ha!
Subtle? She looks nothing like her former self. Another one of those!
Thank you for this!
Thank you!

Omg, I think we have the same dentist lol

How insulting and inappropriate!

Hi Dr. can you do a video on how to get rid of fat circles under eye 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you
i love your videos! always so informative ☺️ wish you would also operate here in switzerland
What's the difference between these three and a vertical facelift
Super helpful. Thank you!
Dr. M is so handsome!
How about the MACS lift? Can you do a video on that?
Do you also do those things to get rid of belly fat and then tighten it up so it doesn't sag and how much is it. I'm poor
I’d like to hear about the costs of these options?
I have a question what procedure causes the eyes to look like the person is permanently startled?
How long last an ponytail lift??
How long does a ponytail lift last? It it also pulling up the skin only, like the mini facelift?
What about deep plane for a younger person?
Is deep plan surgery painful? Because I'm going to do cat eye lifting surgery
What is the cheek lift
Has anyone heard of the vertical restore what’s that then?
It is Amir Karam's branding of a regular old facelift. That is the marketing term that he uses.
always interesting. ah,for surplus money-oh well. got this far.....
Deep plane high SMAS!
Does a ponytail facelift make your hairline higher and wider? Because Ariana grandes hairline has gotten higher
Okay so please address what Nancy Pelosi did to her face..!!!! lol 😱
I'd love to know as well! She does look amazing for a woman in her eighties. I'd probably stop dying my hair at that point, you're not fooling anyone with that lol
Ariana Grande needs a facelift !!!!
She already had one love
I need to improve my English because I don't understand him
@Ana Araujo. Give it time Ana, it's like anything else!! At least you're trying and that's great!!
