- In this vlog, I took a TukTuk to the Mall from my hotel but the TukTuk driver tried to scam me and take me to a different location to shop, but I managed to avoid it.
Then I went to the mall and bought a charger for my laptop, and ate some yummiest sushi over there. I hope you guys will enjoy this vlog.

The more 'advanced' a society is, the more commercial and less humane it becomes. Scams thrive and you begin to doubt everyone.
what do u mean by advanced. In India they are a lot of scams and their cities are far from advanced.
Guy at the shop was being rude for no reason, clearly you were outside shop filming.
The scene outside the shop was unnecessary for sure. It's an unfortunate series of events where people just pass on that negative energy.
That’s how these oriental people are new generations are better but older ones are like that we see a lot of those in New York .
My heart dropped when the shop owner or worker talked in such harsh tone
he just said no recording nothin special about it because they wanna keep their prices secret
you can call the police on them, ive done it before, he was indian aswell. He immediately regretted it as I didn't bluff, and waited in silence for an awkward 30 mins. We stayed explained the situation, for 10 mins then left. Know your rights, and never feel pressured because your on holiday remember

that tuktuk driver was that shop's agent. he thought you would buy something, and he would get commission from that shop.
Don't ever take any offers like these from the tuk tuk drivers. If you want to go somewhere, strictly tell the driver you want to visit the place, agree the price and then take the ride. If you are unsure, simply avoid and move on, it's not worth ruining your time in Bangkok. Use motorcycle grab, fixed price, simply ride from your place to your location, no need to agree on anything.

I had the same tuc tuc experiances about 30 years ago, when they brought us to a jewellery shop, which they pretended to be cheap, was in fact very expensive. Cause we did't buy anything, the tuc tuc driver left us and no one was going to stop at this place.

Good you were confident enough to handle the situation. You always have the right to flim and you should, as some situations can get agressive fast but this rarely happens. Those indian suit shops, are better and trustable in asoke, sukumvit area. IF they dont let you flim going in, then most likly they are planning a scam on you. You can file reports to the tourist police and having photographic evidence will put you in a good position. The suit shop you went to was definitely planning some nefarious acts. But always remember to stand your ground, they try to make you feel uncomfortable with paying as a way out of it. You held your own good man

1, almost all sellers in MBK are from Bangalatech, Pakistan etc.. they mostly don't speak Thai, only English...
2. a normal Thai worker has to work 3 days for your Suschie meal...
1000 bhat for charger is fine in this mall if you buy it on the road side shop you can get some more discount but here it's fine

The guy at the shop was stopping you not to film the shop inside or outside because, perhaps, they have secret underhand plan with Rickshaw drivers to bring the passengers to that shop. That would disclose the secret to the Rickshaw company.😊😅 And that shop is running a bad deals, you are lucky you escaped that trap as well. 😮
everyone should know this. The Taxi Drivers are gettin 50 baht gas vouchers if they bring customers. Even if they buy nothin, the drivers get their vouchers

Ha ha😂 when we went to Bangkok we had the same scam😢 we went inside and they were trying to sell us their suits. When we told them that we do not need suits in Thailand they said that they can deliver to our home address in UK 😂
This is a known Scam in Bangkok! I’d say you should avoid Tuk Tuks from now on or negotiate a price w/ them to take to your destination! Most of them that want to take you somewhere else are scammers!

He is saying that he will get a voucher for gasolene from the store as a commission for taking you there to look around. So he is saying the stop is for him, if you go in there and just look around = gas voucher for him.

He did state to look in the Thai shop, for which he gets a commission. Maybe you couldn't interpret. Miscommunication from both ends
The tukuk driver should have said sorry to Phil for annoying the tourist and for the other shopkeeper being rude to him

The tuk tuk drivers get commission or fuel for stopping these places....we did that spent 5 mins to help the driver and then out.....then we saved on tuk tuk....and the second day same driver was kind and cheap all the time 3 days we payed 50 for 5 km 100 for 10 km around.
So scam or trick.....i dont know what to call it....but yes the tuk tuk deiver should have explained properly....
Your misunderstanding people on a few occasions when people are speaking broken English. They're also misunderstanding you when your trying to clarify in your responses. Misunderstandings happen especially if you don't speak the native language. You have to accept that and not jump to the assumption of negative intentions.
You will need running shoes with all the scammers you gonna meet.

As a Thai, I can say almost all Tuk Tuk always rip you off - even Thais get ripped off. If you want to enjoy and experience, that would be fine. If you want to pay a reasonable price, just take a taxi (meter), Grab or Bolt.
From numerous videos, I been told to avoid tuk tuks. Full stop. The tuk tuk is doing a side line so he can earn commission. But as it is you only need to go mbk. Hence don’t take tuk tuk.
You need to be very street wise in thailand. Be careful of your wallet, documents etc. Its very commercial, many scammers. If you can get past that you will have a wonderful time.
I think the tuk tuk driver was pulling in customers for a commision crafty bugger 😮😮

Driver told you before he would stop for gasoline fee ( usually shops give them a coupon for gasoline ). You just wanted to get scammed ahahaha

It’s all about different cultures traditions and faith Islam teaches us to be kind to others and guests are consider as blessing even more in Peshawar and northern areas than Karachi or Lahore and it’s my own personal experience my in-laws are from that part

If u go to proper optician shop in the mall its the real deal not fakes not everything is fake in Thailand and not everyone will scams u everytime i go to Thailand i will get designers sunglasses like Gucci as they seem to have more styles to choose from. 😁
i have seen that more of friendly people are from subcontinent specially sri lanka, pakistan, india, nepal, and from arab countries. especially arab countries, pakistan, and some of srilanka, india value hospitality rather than money. indonesians, malaysians are also friendly. but there are more rude people in other countries including thailand. they mean money. money is their first priority.

I got tuktuk scam who brought me to this kind of shop in Sri Lanka and India. Btw the shop owner who deal with Tuk tuk are Indian who are living in Thailand. You can easily see the face of the people in the shop, they are not Thai people.
