    I have a question; My video preview/output is now showing up a green tinted kinda fuzzy picture. I'm not sure what's bad. I was thinking it was either the SDI cable of my box. any help would be appreciated.

      When the image is green that typically means that your monitor cannot display the framerate or resolution that is being sent to it

      @@AJaytheCEO it only shows up in my evmux platform preview. and streams as I describe.

      With the right tools yes. Much easier than those multi piece termination sets

    Trying to find straight answers on 6G cables is a nightmare. i was just wondering if the RG-6 cable that you linked here is rated for 4k video. thank you so much for your help.

      I haven't tested 4k since I don't have any 4k capable converters

    Question, 3g and 12g, are they the same cord or what’s the difference

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  Рік тому +1

      The difference is the thickness of the copper 12g supports 4k 3g only supports 1080p

      @@AJaytheCEO Thank you for your reply. My real question is this. I have a Canon C500 with 3gsdi, I'm looking for a recording monitor, I found one with 12gsdi. Will I be able to use this recording monitor with my camera and if so, which wire would I need, 3g or 12g? Thank you for your time!

    To be clear, the RG6 being linked can be used for 3G SDI(1080p60), correct?
    Also the linked crimper and compression connectors do not work together without a slight mod to the crimper.

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  3 роки тому +1

      Yes that cable works as that is what I use and I didn't need to mod the crimp tool

      This is not rated for 12g. You need something higher grade for that

    I bought my "wire tool bundle" from your link, and it came with F type connectors. I was expecting the BNC. Guess I should've read the description more clearly 🤷🏿‍♂️

    • @Sarahlee52106
      @Sarahlee52106 3 роки тому

      Can I use these F-Type connectors in place of the BNC connectors?

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  3 роки тому +1

      You could use them but you cannot connect them to BNC devices directly without an adapter but at that rate you might as well just use BNCs

    • @Sarahlee52106
      @Sarahlee52106 3 роки тому +1

      @@AJaytheCEO yeah that makes sense. Using it for the BM HDMI to SDI converters... I'll just go buy some compression bnc connectors then. Thanks for the response.

    Hey Jay, I'm into audio and a little video. My church has asked me to head up a project for audio and video for them. I have a tech background so cabling isn't new to me. I'd like to know how you price out the work you do? I've to to put together a proposal asap. I'd appreciate some feedback on things to consider when pulling cost together. Or some direction on how to gauge speaker sizes for sanctuary. etc thanks in advance!

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  11 місяців тому

      Based on my history I charge $250-$400 an hour depending on insurance and risk/heights involved running cables.
      Most of my references come from my work at Antioch when it comes to size of speakers and televisions

    Strange that the pin doesn't have to be crimped.

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  Рік тому

      The ends I use wedge in the pin. In the military I had to do the pin and cup separately
