Now 38, Reflecting on my life and my teenage and years of my youth gone by, on a random night of insomnia just staring at the ceiling, at 3.20am in Mumbai, India, all the while listening to this beautiful instrumental song, which happens to be from one of my favorite coming of age shows i’ve watched as a kid / teen - The Wonder Years - can’t help but think how these tunes sorta resonate with my life’s happenings - both ups and downs and so much more. The Wonders Years background tracks were true treasure troves with each song for a different mood, always ready to hit you right in the feels! Lovely! Keep em coming my friend!
I wasn't born in the 80s but I was in the 90s, I believe that those times were the greatest. I love this show, and no there won't ever be any shows as great as this one :(
This show was truly revolutionary for its time. The story and the songs and the way it was told it was such a great show and I grew up watching it for a good portion of my childhood. Even though the era wasn't the same I felt like I could relate to the show in some way.
Yeah, i mean if you strip away the the 60's setting of the show and focus on the core story about childhood and growing up, it relates so much to me, and i watched this in the 90's. This show encapsulated the experience of growing up as a kid back then, and i still look back on those years with wonder :')
@@adamantium242 I'm with you. Sort of like the movie, Stand by me. At the end Richard Dreyfuss is writing saying. Who has friends like they did back when they were 12, does anyone?
That was the point. No matter when you grow up there will always be external issues going on in the world, but the life of a child, the issues and problems they face will always be similar and relatable.
+starlodear yeah, for us old stock californians in the 90s living in the suburbs and rural towns this show evoked so many feelings about our lives in those precious places that are now overrun with a lot of un-american things..
starlodear the area looks like a lot of neighborhoods in calif. no kidding. my family came from texas in the 1920s to LA and ventura which aren't far from culver city where they filmed the show.
starlodear i havent gone to the Arnold house because the traffic is horrid..the area has stayed the same from what i've heard but the people certainly have changed.if kevin arnold raised his son in culver city he would have had to survive some of the most notoriously gang-infested parts of the country like Inglewood being nearby..
I remember this was used at the end of the episode where Wart comes home from Vietnam and Daniel Stern gave one of those amazing end of show monologues, possibly the very best among many great others. This music was so perfectly used and hit you right in the feels.
+Dallas Bagley how can anything since then even compare? there will never be a show to those born in the early 80s and grew up in the 90s that captured our lives like this one.
I see myself in Kevin Arnold's shoes every time I watch the series. In the way, he narrates his thoughts, his actions, but mainly when he does not act out because he was an immature, innocent and inexperienced boy. All the sorrow, regrets, shame and cowardice... butterflies in the stomach just for talking or getting clause to that desired girl... I remember not kissing my first girlfriend...
By the way, during the end credits, an acoustic guitar rendition of "With a Little Help From My Friends" was played by Snuffy himself, along with a synthesizer and piano in the background.
Till date best show.... I m a searching for song that starts like - may u always........ Please help me find this song i think this song was somewhere in last episodes...

+titanium242 Me too. Me too.
I know, right? It made me feel like I actually lived though that time period.

I was a young boy in the sixties ,and I adore this show ----it brings so many childhood memories back to me .
la vida reflejada en esta serie, lo mejor de nuestras vidas ...gracias por esos momentos,,que nostalgia
A truly inspirational show and the best of all time. It puts nowadays Tv series to shame.
This was a kind of show, that can make you feel so happy and also so sad at the same ep.
This show hits me hard at 13... I’m young and living just like my dude Kevin Arnold! This show really really REALLY hits different
My son watched this with me and he is 13. He cried when it ended. (Shhhh). It was that kinda show.
"American Dreams" was an excellent show too, and so was "Wonder Years", but you're right. All the best television shows are gone. Reruns anyone?
Snuffy Walden is a genius. Awesome score!
Growing up in the 80s and early 90s, there is no other show that I lived and breathed like the WY.
