Comment: Rose McDowall & Jill Bryson, the 80's Scottish duo, launched the original song in 1984 from the 12'' Vinyl single "Since Yesterday" [UK & Europe] and in Japan in 1985 with a two-track 7'' Vinyl single. Presumably, the extended mix version of the song was released in the 90's when an expanded edition of their recordings came out, although not included there. It becomes a true rare track, indeed. It may be notice how sound is wrapped into a more ethereal Pre-Grunge atmosphere coming from Shoegaze. Strawberry Switchblade's aestheics took from 60's, Punk & elements of European folklore clothing (such as Poland or Spain) as a referent; yet, these two gals are well-known for wearing flamboyant polka-dots dresses. Color/Light & Darkness successfully converge in the British band. That's what I call "Old Indie".
