I bought this dash cam for a semi truck. I have tried three 4k dash cameras but believe me this one is the best! The only problem is the App. It comes with 16 GB sd card. I recommend you should use 64 or 128 GB and format before using it and format it weekly basis. Delete the protected files once you've downloaded it to your cellphone. The only problem is the App! I'm saying it again because it will drive you crazy because it wouldn't connect to your cellphone . The dashcam will give you clear footage.
I have to agree with you. I've had mine for about a year now and it works great. I also notice that it has good light gathering ability. The screen will show that it's lighter than it really is when it's nearly night or very early in the morning and the sun is about to rise but it still looks dark to the naked eye, but the screen will show as if there were more light. I like that. Also, I got myself a 256 GB sd card and it's well worth it to avoid constantly running out of space. And I do have the same trouble with the app. I've tried several times to get it to connect and it just doesn't.

Just got this love it . And damn that magnet is pretty strong holding the cam . Ordered my adaptor to plug into my rear view mirror . For now I have the wire dangling down .
Great video, but I missed the footage for fullscreen and a night drive and how good you can identify license plates. But anyway good job and thanks In the settings, you found something about license plate and said you don't know what its for, maybe its for displaying your own license plate.
I got mine for Xmas and now I can check the speedometers on all my old cars! Just getting ready to install it and read through the whole online instruction manual and watched your video. When I push the exclamation button, does it save only the last 1,3,5 minutes that it saw? Does it remember the whole trip but, only protects the preset amount when I push the button?
Thanks for the video! I just got one of these and the manual isn't very detailed. It doesn't auto-record when you turn it on, does it? I need to remember to push the record button every time I get in the car, and push it again to stop recording when I get out? (Having this feeling that I'll forget to do this the one time when it will matter).
I haven't compared it to the speedometer, as you can only see the speed on the app. I would guess that since you're dealing with satellites that are meant more for location than speed, the speed shown could be different from actual speed of the vehicle. That is a good question. I might have to look into that...
I just bought this now ,I go back on the best buy website and it says doesn't fit the car I bought it for which is a 2006 ford fusion ,idj if it's just bs and I can still jook it up or not but just doesn't make sense cause it looks like it will fit no problem

Yes, I've checked my phone and it has no trouble detecting, recognizing, and connecting to other networks, so I know it's not my phone that has the problem, but the app. I have a feeling based on the comments here that this is a very common problem. I know the app connection didn't work for me the way it did in your video. Just saying.

I’ve had mine, I have a setting where it automatically overwrites previous recordings so I don’t have to manually format the SD card

It only saves the preset amount in the “locked” folder on the card. If your card is large enough it will save on the card before re writing.

Is their an option to save video before an event happens? So it saves a minute prior let’s say?
Yes. Press the exclamation mark in the bottom left corner. It will record the event and a little before it and after.

If you hook it up to an “always on” power source it will work while parked and ignition off.

I don’t know why the vehicle would matter. Seems like it would fit any vehicle with a windshield or dashboard.
Can this thing be hardwired rather than plugged in?
I hard wired mine and works great. I wired mine to an ignition hot, so it doesn’t stay on when the vehicle is off.
