    Hey Nick. Nice review. A lot to admire with the units, but it looks like Bachmann is taking some cues from their continental competitors. The pin connectors are seen on the higher end high-speed trains. Roco uses them on my Railjet, and Märklin on my ICE3s and ICE4. PIKO, Fleischmann, and Jagerndorfer also use them for their long, high-speed trains. And each company clearly writes in the maintenance manual that once connected, they should be left connected. These connectors are designed for stock that would be in fiddle yards with access to the main routes and are not to be separated except in definite situations (moving). They also allow the highest level of functions with top decoders to be carried across multiple units, so why Bachmann did it for a two-car set, I don't know.

    hi rule i have one off those pretty good model only problem i had was the back boggey wells some times falls out off the frame so that is one thing to look out for ok derek
