I'm convinced that when you give an Automatron any of the male/female voices and activate their personality subroutine, Ada just gains another vessel. "A pleasure to see you again(??!), Sir/Ma'am. Are we ready to depart?"
The generic automatron voices (the male and female one) have about as much complexity as Ada, and in fact I think she uses the female voice but has extra story based lines centered around her old caravan group. If you take a male voiced robot with you he has loads of his own lines and some snark based on where you are. He'll subtly roast you for using power armor while also saying it's a great idea, and say stuff like "Now you know what I feel like" when you put it on, all with the utmost politeness and sincerity, it's great.
