I am very new to minimalism, till now I was addicted to shopping especially on sales and there seemed no end. Your videos have put a brake and now I will not be wasting my money and time anymore. Thank you
I’ve slowly begun learning about minimalism and gradually decluttering. I started early last year but for 2022, my goal is to make it through my house. I know I’ve already chosen to keep some things that I’ll probably donate in my next round. I feel that starting out, I’m more comfortable knowing there will be more pass throughs so I don’t have to get rid of things I’m not quite comfortable with yet. I’ve already done a second pass over some areas I attacked last year. I was amazed at the number of things I set aside for donation this year that I held on to last year. I am pleased with the success I’ve had thus far and amazed at how much easier it is to clean and manage my home. I know I’ll never be an extreme minimalist, but simplifying the quantity of things in my home is already making a difference. Thanks for your help.
I’ve got one last room to declutter and a large closet. I’m starting to run out of steam , I might try 7 mins a day, to get me motivated, I am getting a new kitchen fitted soon so will have another decluttering project later on in the year but for now I’d be happy to get this last room decluttered so I can finally get the new flooring down. Thanks for the tips I will plan to start this tomorrow. I feel really overwhelmed now when I see clutter after a year of being intentional of what I bring into the home. I am recognising my downfalls , mainly excess cushions, house decor x
It definitely is a marathon and not a sprint! There are times when I get more relaxed about a certain category and then one day realize “woah…need to declutter!” So, it definitely happens to us all! Just keep working at it! You are doing amazing!
I love these ideas. I’m binge watching your YT channel. I’ve lived life not really thing about how much I have other than being thankful for it. But I’m realized I have too much of everything. I’ve never thought of looking at everything against the “prized possession” standard. How perfect! And I’m beginning that journal you suggested ASAP. The biggest issue I have is that I almost always buy high quality items. So that makes it very hard to let go.
Hi! I' not new to minimalism and watched a lot of videos on UA-cam but I found your channel only today. I' m surprised you don' t have way more subscribers! Thank you so much for your content, I think it's very well presented, useful and inspiring. Greetings from Germany, Verena

I got rid of/donated/threw away 210 items this August. My house is breathing deeply!
Wooo hooo! Way to go! That’s what an accomplishment!
You “unstuck” me with your reminder of Dawn’s Time Will Tell bin. Thanks!
That’s great! Yes, the time will tell bin is SO helpful!!!

In that case, it may be worth your effort to try to sell those high quality items you decide not to keep - to recoup some of they money. ❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words! My husband comes from a German background and told me to say this: “Hallo, wie geht es einen?” ❤️

Great tips! Especially love #1. What a great lens through which to view purchases!
Number 1 was a game changer for me! I kept that silly green pasta strainer for well over 14 years before I finally chose to LOvE my possessions! ❤️
