Golf | Avoid Forward Shaft Lean In Bunkers

Forward shaft lean in a green side bunker will cause the club to expose the leading edge and dig into the sand. This can make it difficult to become consistent with your bunker shots.

I think most golfers struggle with this, because most other shots in golf you are told to have a forward leaning shaft. It just takes practice. 👍

When I am in the bunker I think open face slice, like a flop shot. I am interested as to why Tiger say hook it

An open face is great, but to cut across the ball, like a slice, will put side spin on the ball. It can be an effective way to get the ball out of the bunker, but if you look at any pro on tour, they all come into the ball with a neutral path. Not over the top. Trying to feel the hook helps him release the club. 👍
