I'm confused by Dreamz's response to whether he ever planned on giving yau the necklace.. but I feel like I can read people well enough to know he 100% thought he was gonna go through with it, or thought he wouldn't win and it wouldn't even matter. At that moment when he was offered a truck, not even just a vehicle to from A to B which he desperately needed, but a nice ass new truck.. I think he was just overwhelmed with the thought and didn't think it through and then later realized that he couldn't possibly give yau the necklace. It would be trading a truck for his spot in the game. And I think yau thought of it like "I came here without a truck, I'll be just fine without it, this is a long shot but what do I have to lose?" kind of attitude. He knew there was a good chance Dreamz wouldn't follow through.
Also I think when the season ended.. Dreamz didn't know what sounded better to viewers.. that he planned it the whole time and it was a game move all along, or that he genuinely planned to do it but changed his mind later.
Your read on Dreamz is pretty spot on. I think when we got the offer he did not have a chance to process the implications of it. Afterwards, probably while on the reward, he realized he was giving up his spot, which is why at the next tribal he tried to vote Yau out. I think he made the deal initially in good faith, however, once he realized what it would actually cost he tried to find a way out of it that wouldn't look slimy. When Yau won immunity at five I think he realized that he was screwed on that front and just said screw it, he was gonna look like rat, but he was going to try and make it seem like he was planning this all along.
Survivor Fiji is the first Survivor that my family watched. We're Filipinos so this kind of reality TV isn't the most popular but man, the truck deal gained a huge reaction from my parents.

A little “secret” I heard to give you some insight on why the jury was so hard on Cassandra at FTC. Allegedly some of the Hispanic contestants didn’t like her because she criticized them for speaking Spanish around her. Which may explain where Alex’s jury comment “maybe i should say it in Spanish. Edgardo you want to translate?” came from. Not sure if it’s true or not, but if it is then it would give some context as to why particularly Lisi, Edgardo, and Alex berated Cassandra at the end.
For as season as low ranked as it is by fans, it sure did have quite a few great characters.

I mean I always assumed Dreamz couldn't afford the taxes OR the insurance on the truck (actually.. I was also under the assumption that when you WIN a car, it's like being gifted a car, and you don't have to pay the taxes..? I guess not lol) but either way idk why people would think they would just.. take it back lmao like they make money from the show.. pay the taxes and then sell it lol or trade it in or something. I knew that rumor couldn't have been true, I've been hearing that one for a while.

NGL i put off watching Fiji for quite some time due to the reviews, but I gotta be honest it did not deserve all the hate! I loved Earl, Yau and Michelle; Dreamz was entertaining - really smart but can't articulate well for the life of him (the truck deal was both parties' fault imho); Some really good blindsides and alliance shifts which make it super refreshing to watch
Lisi is so hypocritical she made herself look like a clown LMAO, and Rocky bullying people was just unbearable to watch (though his temper is just like mine, LOL)
I enjoyed Fiji with the twist and all. I see how it is unfair but compared to later seasons like south pacific and redemption island I'll pick Fiji over them any day.
I actually liked Lisi this season and I wish she would return

Honestly Thailand and this season are better seasons by far than Redemption Island, South Pacific, One World, San Juan Del Sur, Worlds Apart, Kaôh Rōng, Ghost Island, Edge of Extinction, Island of the Idols and Season 41. In fact Season 41 and beyond I stopped watching it because it became too politically correct for me. But I still prefer Survivor Thailand and Survivor Fiji over the ones I mentioned. IJS
For me Peal Islands, cook islands And cagayan are the best 3 seasons. If only Spencer won the last one tho.
