Excellent video. I used a gas shock on my Yamaha Neos 50 2T in an emergency, as I had nothing else. It’s a Stage6 MKII gas shock. It’s really for the track. But works on the road great when adjusted. It’s got a separate adjustment for the the compression and the rebound. And has good balance with the stock front on the Neos. So as it suited the bike and my weight. I kept it on there. Happy Days as one says.

Just a thought, I'm doing as a winter project ( roads are terrible here) . Thanks for sharing your knowledge my friend 🛵💯👊

Great video, thanks for help. my OEM shock is 290mm , but the options I see on amazon, with can behind spring are either 280mm or 320mm. I’m on the heavier side (230#) Which would you choose? Or would you go with the straight spring (no can) that is 290mm?

I am very interested in changing the rear shocks on my Chinese ICEBEAR HAWKEYE 150cc scooter. However, the owner's manual does not help me to determine a replacement shock. How do I determine the correct replacement shock? How should I measure the size of the existing shock? Do I measure from top to bottom with the scooter sitting on the Center Stand? Do I measure from top to bottom from center of screw holes?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips

Hello Andy next to the shock there is a little can under that you can see a little valve where you can releasing the gas and you will give little more space to the shock oil but to be précised you will need have a tire pressure gauge to make both shocks equal at pressure or you will feel that you are riding side way and a possibility of a abnormal tire wear make sure when you release the gas you do 1 second burst at the time to avoid releasing too much gas and protect your eyes and mouth because the inside rubber seals are not perfect and you may have a oil mist mix with pressure gas . When I change my shocks at first they was really hard but the get little softer every time I ride the scooter but not like the old suspension that the was very soft . Thank you for watching my video
