love your tutorial very easy to understand. I made a cowl in the round and it turned out so great. I wish you would show the finished work for each of these so we get a sense of what it looks like in the long-term. Six rows just aren't enough to show the actual pattern in what it looks like. My favorite is the three color. And I like you like the solid. Medium change. short change. Never tried the when is short as you have or with pops of color. I have to try that. Thanks for the great ideas. Making my next washcloth now.
Like the way you knit, I am not left handed, yet that is where I hold my yarn and do the purl stitch, with my thumb! I love it! As far as the linen stitch goes, when doing a right side row, the knits are the slipped stitch from the wrong side row, and the purls are the slipped stitch from the wrong side row if I am watching this correctly. Currently using the linen stitch on a front of a cardigan and have made many mistakes, using 2 colors, so watching this in slower motion than other videos are nice! Thanks!!
I think those of us who hold the yarn in our left hand are knitting the European (continental) way, as opposed to the American way. My aunt taught me to knit, and I assume she learned from her mother, who was a first-generation immigrant from Germany. I'm glad you found this video helpful! I'm sure your cardigan will be beautiful!
Great video, but wish someone can show the proper way to increase linen stitch. There is currently only one video to be found, and when I try her method, it does not work.
