  • After being retired for almost 4 years, I have decided to go back to work doing something new and challenging.
You can help support my channel by watching some of the ads, clicking the like button, comment, subscribe and share on any other social media or platform.. It really goes a long way!!!!!
    About Me.
In 2018 I decided to stop working for someone else full time and pursue my dream of building my log home and starting a small farm in the Ozark mountains. It's a dream that I have had and have been working towards for over 20 years, and due to life changes and unexpected events, I decided to make a leap of faith. This journey will not be without its challenges and setbacks, but I will continue to push forward each and every day to make this dream a reality. I try to upload videos 3 days a week but working mostly alone I am always pressed for time.

Being a carpenter, no one uses the gaurd on a table saw. It gets in the way and is actually more dangerous. It's the only safety device I don't use. You are doing a great job.

My wood shop in high school had no table guards on the saws :) If you can't pay attention, you shouldn't be using one. I never use guards of any kind, they get in the way.

Well actually I thought you being extra careful using push sticks to shove the wood through the saw. I can see having a guard over the blade but your doing fine.your not getting in a hurry while doing it so your doing fine.
Nice to hear that great job opertunity pop up for you too.
I'm sure the money flies out the door pretty quick when buying lumber and everything you've been buying for the cabin build. So now you can replace lots of it.
And of coarse April has been working all along so that definitely helps too.
Brilliant idea on the pullout draws.
That's the way they all should be in every home but the cost is quite a bit more I'm sure.
Good luck on your new job.

Being an avid woodworker myself, I don't see anything wrong with your safety routine. I have the same Delta saw- a real workhorse. Push sticks, eye protection, outfeed table, good lighting and ventilation. No issues. Maybe some earmuffs depending on acoustics.
PS: Great set-up, precision and fit on your router work.

Your table saw work is just fine, pay attention to what you doing is right way to stay safe. On another note, you have a unique way of showing how you do things and you explain it well, that said, if you focused on UA-cam, you could make a very nice living. Do what you need to, but I thought your focus was on building the homestead. Put it out and I will still watch, want to see this home done. Thx

when I was an apprentice in a machine shop that's the first thing taught, no loose clothes, no ties, keep you hands, arms, fingers away from moving parts and safety first, above all. Spent 2 years on a number of machines and was never hurt.

You can express and opinion and someone on the internet will argue with you until they are blue in the face. But you lay all your cards on the table and deal with it. You live your life the way that you see fit and if the rest of the world doesn't agree then that is just tough. I quit trying to explain my position long time ago. On the rare occasion when I do go beyond a simple explanation I will usually use another resource to support my position.

Brother If you’re Happy with the job I’m happy for ya. 😁
Does this mean the channel content will suffer and the finishing of the cabin is gonna be significantly delayed ? Because I know those water drilling rigs sometimes are pulling 12+ hour days.
Just won’t be much time left over for filming a video when a man comes home worn out.
