Water Well Drilling in the Ozark Mountains
We are drilling a water well for a customer on a beautiful ranch in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. JFS well service is way behind on drilling and I am trying to help him get caught up before winter sets in on us.

About Me.
In 2018 I decided to stop working for someone else full time and pursue my dream of building my log home and starting a small farm in the Ozark mountains. It's a dream that I have had and have been working towards for over 20 years, and due to life changes and unexpected events, I decided to make a leap of faith. This journey will not be without its challenges and setbacks, but I will continue to push forward each and every day to make this dream a reality. I try to upload videos 3 days a week but working mostly alone I am always pressed for time.

We're back from summer break and have new BABY GOATS. We decided to take some time off and enjoy the summer. There’s a guy on a channel called My Little Homestead who is restoring one of those old cable drop drilling units. I think he had some issues with getting the head stuck at the bottom of the well. Interesting equipment.

Hmmm - attach a motor at the top with an offside weight to cause it to vibrate vigorously while you dump the load. And do the expanded metal run it 90 degree from the current set up. The longer the holes the better the chance is for dirt to drop through. Good job!

So awesome that you had the courage to pursue your dream. I’m kind of in a similar situation right now trying to make a transition. After working for the same company for over two decades I quit. Trying to figure out what I want to do for the next 15-20 years. Went and got my private pilot license…always wanted to do that. Anyway, great video! So, do you still recommend rinsing with water after the vinegar bath? Or to avoid the rust you skipped the water and heated it up to remove the moisture and then coated with oil?

They have done pretty good. They catch a ton of sun so they have warped a little using green lumber. I still haven’t put the bats on yet and I should have raised them up about an inch higher. When we get a lot of snow or ice build up they rub the ground. Other than that they work great.
