Very good job. The guy on the skid steer needs to feed a little slower or the material needs to be drier. I guess that a little more weight on the shaler would help. I built a 3"- grizzly, 30+ years ago. I had very rocky soil with boulders up to 6' diameter. I used an old shovel dozer and ended up with ~2,000 CY of tailings. Good Luck, Rick
A little more weight on the vibrator will greatly increase separation speed. I’ve used commercial ones for years, it needs to be a little more violent to do the job better.
Steeper angle and you wouldn't have to rake it. Bars instead of a screen are better for handling grass clumps so it doesn't get hung up and just make a thatched roof.
Hello I want to try and make one. What do the lawn mower wheels do in the back? Does the screen pivot on those? Did you have to put hinges on the screen so it doesn't fall off?
we built one like yours with leftover materials and it does work very well, only difference we added a 4'x8' on a 45 to not have to go so much under. Thanks again.
Yes that would help more of an angle would also help. I already have an issue with the bearing going out more weight would make that worse. Thanks for ths input
I seen you only had a couple bearings for such a long shaft. Try to get the offset weight closer to the motor side and add a few more bearings. Keep them greased helps too. Imma be building one similar to yours!
@dirtworxsolutions are you using spherical roller bearings? Regular ball bearings won't hold up, same for the cast bearing housing that are common on inexpensive bearings. Do you have access to a mill or lathe?
@@dirtworxsolutions that's good to hear, I want to build something similar for my property. I tend to overthink my builds when sometimes throwing something together will work great. I thought the weight bar as a shaft was great.
If you screen dirt with alot of rock in it yes it does have some small rock in it. But most of our topsoil that I run though it doesn't have alot of small rock.

It’s a great idea. Thanks for the insight

Increase angle and move the vibratory shaft farther up the screen for better results
do you think too much material will slide off if angle is increased? Interested in making one.

Good one
awesome job, practical and economical thanks for the tip.
Thanks for watching.
It’s a winner.

The wheels let the screen deck shake free. It has chains on each side that hold the screen deck on the frame.
Would it help if you made the piece of iron heavier (0.53)
and more from center?
Thanks for your input.
He doesn’t need it heavier he needs it to have a wider revolution
hello from the Netherlands .
thanks for the video .

Hello thanks for watching.

you're welcome 👍
Really appreciate where did you find that three-quarter inch screen fabric. Desperate
Thanks for watching. I found that screen at my local steel supplier. They may ship the name is Steel Towne Elk Mound WI.
Thanks its awesome, no need to spend big money.

Awesome hope it works good. I really like mine for what I have in to it.
Looks like she needs more weight to get the shake more violent, we got a huge screener on tracks and that thing shakes the ground 50 feet away

They are just normal bearings I have only replaced them once in 5 years it has been holding up well for what it is.

nice!
Thanks
doesn't look powerful enough to shake it works okay
Don't a lot of small stones make it through the mesh since it's 3/4?

Btw looks good
Just what I want
Where did you get the screen?
From my local steel shop. 3/4 inch woven metal.
