Impasto Technique First Time - Van Gogh inspired Thick Coffee Oil Painting

Hey, today I'm going to be painting with a new technique: #impasto. You can recognize this thick painting style from artists like #VanGogh. This was my first time giving this technique a try, and I painted a #coffee from a photo reference. I chose a very bright color palette, a bit inspired by Van Gogh's style too. I will be doing more of these for sure. Remember I am no expert, I am just sharing with you and documenting my art journey. I hope you enjoy!

It was very soothing to watch this painting getting shape slowly. I could see some kind of gel on the side of your palette. Is that Galkyd gel medium ?
