I have a 2005 gsxr 750 with 26,000 and still runs and looks awesome. It was my first bike, had to sell and bought it back within a year , guy never rode it. Glad to have it back , can't wait to ride.
Alexander Serrano I have a 99 gsxr750 with 18,000 miles
Im looking at a 05 gsxr 750 it has 19k miles its streched and lowered he wants 4k what do u think about that too much??
Buy it Johnny Mchugh you cant go wrong
A 03 gsxr is worth 4000 with 30,000 miles
How was a gsxr750 your first bike. Disnt you ave a moped or 125 when in teens.
Id love to find one of these! They are so rare. I will always love the classic Suzuki blue and white with the white wheels!
That is the color scheme on my 1988 gsxr1100 hypersport and i still think it looks sharp.
i have one..
I have one for sale.
Jag Chahal where are you located at?
@@coop98 I'm in ohio
I just bought a 01 for $800 in great shape and engine runs great too. 20k miles. Only problem is it's a lien sale because I bought it from a tow yard. I couldn't believe the deal, I made it 2 minutes before other buyers! Super lucky
Got my 2003 954rr for 1250. Plastics a little beat and had a bent rim, but $80 for a used one and i was riding
Of course it can keep up with the modern bike. The 00-03 750's are great bikes. If you just have to have a new one go and pluck down about $13K for one, but don't be surprised that a decent rider of the 00-03 models will have no problem keeping up with you on the street or will have no problem whatsoever stuffing you into a corner at the track:). Rider skills determine the outcome in most situations..:)
cobramanphil yes I was going to say the same thing I have a Suzuki gsx600f and i keep up with modern sports bikes
I am mostly in the B groups and I have the same bike as in the video (well almost its a 2002) and I have no problems at all keeping up with most riders at my skill level (that includes gsxr 1000s). Most people will never utilize the full potential of a sport bike (definitely never on the street). It does make me laugh sometimes though when someone "feels" they have outgrown a 600 sportbike and move to a liter bike. They quickly realize that it was not the bike holding them back, but their skill level was holding them back instead. I usually tell new riders wanting to move up to a liter bike that if they can control (at will) the sliding of the rear AND the front with full slicks...on a prepared track then perhaps they should move up.
The fastest guy in my group or riders is on gsxr 600 btw...and we have both A and B riders in our group with liter bikes.
this my favorite body style, wouldn't mind going from my fz09 to something like this
doesnt matter what you ride as long as you ride i got an fz09 great bike but wouldn't mind switching to one of these
In these scenarios it’s always you on the old bike vs you on the new bike as far as speed not you on the new bike vs some top rider on a 2000 model he would of course smoke you...(watch the guy on a supermoto drz 400 smoke a gsxr 1000 in the canyons)but yeah it would be close regardless. The new bikes have ABS and all the new rider aids are definitely great...but bang for buck a used 2000 gsxr 750 fn rocks
Your left mirror is a right mirror.
LOL
Loool
I wanna laugh but I don’t get it!! Lol
@@What.a.train.wreck. He is using two right mirrors. The mirror on the left side is wrong. And it`s upside down.
@@smash3525 oh!!! LoL thanks
Hell yeah they can!!! I have a '01 gsxr-750 n I'm getting a 1000. I can keep up with Corvettes and a (poorly driven) Lamborghini. They're a great investment, also theres many replacement parts and aftermarket for it still.
Left mirror gave me a migraine lol
I've been riding for 38 years it's not the bike you have its where you go with it.
Who cares where you're going, it's all about the bike!
I vomited in my mouth a bit when you said "steering wheel" 😏😎✊🏻
I've still got my 1988 Suzuki GSXR 1100 hyper sport and it will still do over 165 mph biggest difference i find between it and new bikes it the refined suspension. And i have a 1989 Ducati paso 750 its much slower than newer bikes as it top at around 126mph and it handles like a nightmare.
I like your video, I like how you said, our bikes aren’t perfect cause I agree people like me with little money love buying a older bike because we cannot afford much but still wanna ride 👍👍 or have a project 👍👍🤘🏼
Man I'm glad you fixed that left mirror... That was really bugging me lol.
Thanks for the review, saw one for sale exactly like this in my area with 28k miles. I just might buy it. I like these older sport bikes since I grew up riding KZ1000 GPz550 and Ninja 600/900/1000 bikes. Also had a few Hondas and a Yamaha. Currently have a BMW K1200RS but want something lighter. I think these two bikes have about the same HP.
Your awesome, you always give me exactly what I'm looking for b4 I buy a bike
I thought I was going to see a race against another bike. My 01' 750 keeps up with modern bikes until I get bored then they get smoked.
Shiiiit lol.
your 130 hp is faster than a 200 whp+ 1000c??
@@Nick-dz4ml 200whp? lmao the h2 only puts 190 to the wheels liter bikes mostly do between 130-145 whp
@@dodhdhdfdffgdhfonhdh restricted. ecu flash and easy extra 30hp.
stage 2 kit for more power than a h2r
👌
Yes it can easily. Personally I think the 600 version of this is fast enough.
750 is a perfect balance, you'll never use 1000cc on our roads..but you will use the extra midrange the 750 offers over the 600, less up and down gears and plenty more power on tap.. gsxr 750 is a serious tool
I had the ‘97 600 for a number of years. Fantastic little bike, but it was really a bit underpowered for my taste. You really feel it going up hills, carrying a passenger, or keeping up with riders in long straights. With a passenger it felt like one of those early 90s GS-550s (not sure about the name, but I rode one) when accelerating from a stoplight. It was almost like a 2-stroke. Fuzzy power until the first hit at 8k and the second hit at around 10. The 750 has been an excellent balance. More than enough power generally speaking. You can short shift it and it has enough grunt.
No man...I have both,the 750 is special.
@@anthonyst2052 I have to agree...750 is a different beast to the 600 or 1000.600 just doesn't compare at all.
Did u just call a 600 underpowered? Lol bro I don't care what hill you're climbing no 600 is underpowered.maybe you weigh 400 pounds
Are we gonna ignore the left mirror is way forward
Good job you’re wearing proper gloves.. jeans look..on point too..
I have an 01 600 and have had it for 4 years now and yes it keeps up with the modern bikes. Just keep up with the maintenance and your golden
Got the 2018 Gsxr 750..love it...
Nothing about a full exhaust on a 00-03 750 will trigger the FI light, that only applies to 1Ks of that generation. The FI light is on because something is wrong.
Exactly. Same bike, full exhaust. No FI light
Was thinkin' the same.
Fi light is certainly for the second valve motor
Shouldn't have FI light with just muffler. Prob got a code for something.
One of my housemates in undergrad had this bike. It holds a special place in my heart, because it's probably what got me into motorcycling.
I have a k1 gsxr 750, it also holds a special place in my heart from sentimental value
Great Video
Mirrors look like they’re from an ‘03 1K
Maybe it’s just the camera angle, but Triple looks turned off center to right, bent forks causing that handing issue, not the tire pressure
After market exhaust prob wouldn’t cause the FI light as there wasn’t a back pressure valve like on the later 1Ks
Your pants match the fairings... all tore up 😂🤣😂
That bike is bulletproof proof hands down I love that bike for a old bike I have a 1999 carbureted and I can’t lie I love it
I know this is an old video, but I love a bike like that. My cbr looks rough af, but they're scars that show her life. 80k miles and finally a rod knock. Looking at one of these gsxrs to tide me over while I fix the engine, and that one is rough too. But that's ok, it means she got to live.
I'll never forget I had the great idea to buy a 2004 GSXR from omni Powersports in early March of 2017. So it was a bright sunny day windy and cold . I had my father drive me up from Delaware to just above Pottstown bought the bike and proceeded to ride it back to Delaware . My father is behind me to follow me and just turns off and takes another way back that he thinks is shorter, so at this point I am alone. I got to Morgantown and it got cloudy and it started to snow and it snowed like mad . Here I was going up a mountain on a sport bike and was snowing like crazy. It was a miracle I didn't dump the bike on a turn but I didn't . My hands were so numb and frost bitten I thought I would lose my fingers. Finally it stopped snowing as I came off the last hill on 10 going south , I stopped at the wawa and drank a large hot chocolate. Finally made it home well after dark. What a crazy adventure! I didn't keep the bike very long anyway , what a ride home though.
Interesting story, y did u get rid of bike?
@@fyb3x890 I really wasn't used to 150 horsepower on a 600 frame , thing was nuts.
My old man had 1 of these when they were brand new, awesome bikes.
I literally just got a steal on a 2002 gsxr 750 today for 3k clean title matching vin in absolute mint condition best part bike only had 7.6k miles on it bro this video was one of the videos that made me get the older model gsxr 750
Always has been and always will be my favourite bike ever
bought a 2003 R750 K3 yesterday, what a punch it delievers. looking now for a few parts to fix some shit - only optical
I feel I should come over there USA and show you how to ride the bikes properly. I'm confident i would beat you with every bike you tried on a proper track.. these bikes Excel in ĺthe handling and I certain I would wipe the floor with you on my Movistar 1996 SRAD 750
K2 Gsxr 750 life baby my gsxr made it through flood waters below the dam i had no insurance on her so working on fixing her back up slowly to ride again another day
The commentary around 5 minutes... Spot on
Yes it can 🔥
I just emailed someone on identical year and bike color etc! Lol wow
I have a ZX12R 2001, its awesome too...
I dig the verses man🤙🏻
Be a good starter track bike.
dixiexyz actually no it wouldn't a 250-300 would be better.faster track bikes aren't as fun because as a new track racer you need to practice leaning and following lines not so focused on speed.its alot more fun to drive a slow bike fast then a fast bike slow
nice sound~
I have had many bikes..sometimes 2-3 at the same time, but I will always keep my 02 750. All the bike needs in the video is a tuneup, new tires, ditch the spikes and either some touch-up paint and or some plasti-dip or something. Perfect for a track bike...or perhaps just something to cruise around in on the street.
Ok awesome I just jumped into buying one its an 03 gsxr750 and the guy told me it was tuned differently with the power comander and it had a shot back tire so when i test road it I didnt rip on it cause i knew it needed a tire and it went through the gears fine and starts up every time...well got a new tire and went for a real ride and the clutch is shot so I'm currently waiting for a clutch to come in mail lol what did i get myself into
This actually was my bike on HS. :-) Had the 2001 model in 2001. Great bike and I miss it dearly. FI light shoud NOT be on btw. Mine never was with a full Yoshi RS3.
Owesome bike i got one as my first bike 10 years ago ,still sitting in my garage, runs a1 ,i just got valve clearance checks and replaced cam chain tensioner @38k miles she runs like a champ
166kg and 130ish rwhp, of course it'll keep up.
Shawn srk cycles do a ride video on a Suzuki gsx600f and if they are a good sports touring bike to ride with sports bikes
Ummm no. The f1 light is on because you need to pull the code... something is wrong with it. Wether a sensor, wire or something isn’t plugged in right.
Wooo. I stand corrected.. and spoke too soon .. He actually adjusted his mirrors b4 riding. But... low tire ..lol
So where did the title of the video go??? Can it keep up ?
You mean where did the answer go?
Greetings from the German Autobahn. This is really, really fast bike (we call it GIXXER),
Sooo funny... never fails... his mirrors are WAK!
I like that your knee protector looks like an actual knee.
I love my 02 750. I have 40,000 miles no problems and I still do 165 mph
I had a 98 srad 750 and frequently had that hoe up to 160+ without issues..Those blockheads on them 1000 cc bikes used to get pissed because they weren't leaving me behind..Had to get rid of it to get caught up on child support, now that my kid has graduated high school I'm ready to go out bike shopping again..I'm in my mid 50's but Imma continue to ride until I cannot anymore..These new bikes are works of art but don't skimp on old school... You'll get embarrassed if you're not paying attention.. Horsepower and speed don't mean shit if your ass don't know how to ride..Peace folks!
Can you see my shirt in the mirror? No mate I can see the next county though😂😂
how much did you sell it for ?
That’s still a great looking bike today
Wonderful peace of machinery
Piece not peace.
I can't seem to find your comment you just made(maybe you deleted it) but you shouldn't be so sensitive,it was NOT an attack on your level of written English it was simply a correction.I would appreciate corrections if I were learning a language(or if I made a grammar mistake),I figured most rational adults would see things the same,I guess you are just a little too sensitive to take this on board.
My apology...live in ignorance if that's what suits you.
I had a 99 and a 2003 and never had the fuel injection light come on and i had full exhaust on both
Amen brother we should ride sometime.
My dads has a 1999 gsxr 750 it's perfect condition and only 19,000 miles also hes the only owner of the bike from new
somethings off with the left side of the bike. The mirror is wrong, the clip on is rotated like it hit the ground, and the triple tree needs some measurements on that left post.
I got a 99 gsxr 750 it’s a fun cheap bike and will smoke a lot of bikes and pulls as hard as I ever need
6:39 Order a chinese kit from..... where??? Did you say California? Haha
how much are you asking for this bike?
That bike was my first bike, the one i learn on, the one i fell on, and im proud of my little bike, yes its old but it pulls as a first bike
It’s a sport bike with like 100hp they pull hard as fuck not just as a first bike lmao
My first bike was my dads Gl1800 Goldwing.....never looked back....of course had hairy moments but few...not serious....heavy bike...all in the throttle...
harvey myers I just bought an 02 750 as my first ever bike a week ago Im doing fine and Im 19, I know my do’s and do nots its possible to learn on one
posting in 2022, laughing at the thought of being able to buy this for "far" less than 3900
Not really sure you answered the question unless I missed it?
I would have that bike back in shape in no time if i lived in the US, sadly i do not .
Can you even see out of those mirrors .
no you cant. I have to bend my arms a bit to the side to see something
Sean’s Bible verses are probably all over in Lancaster PA lol they’re always flying off his bike 😅
I have a strong urge to pump that tyre up.
Might help if you went around some bends.....
I feel called out, I have stoopid spikes on my gsxr windscreen.
Shawn srkcycle's you should do a video like this one a Suzuki gsx600f
I'm getting the 1000f, 2020 model
3:50 didn't know you had roundabouts in the US
A lot of newer roads and developments have roundabouts here in the US. They still only makeup maybe 1-2% of all intersections here though.
Try Carmel indiana next time ,i hate the damn things
It's as fast as most liter bikes. I think it hands pretty damn well lol
Lol
The wiring harnesses in Suzuki's 😕...
F 1 Light is on Bro .. running it will cause further issues ,I still have my 2000 Gixxer 750 .. does the business still ..
That bike is awesome I have a 99 gsxr750
why dont ya twist that thing ?? jayyzuz
the model before was the nicest
top yoke is way out of line ,check and adjust pressures before you ride ,is your knee out exposed so you don't rip you jeans when you come off .
Still have it???
Sean’s Bible verses are probably all over Lancaster P.A. From all of the ones that flew off from test rides 😂
I can honestly say in the years I had my new 02 gixxer 750 I never dropped it, in fact I hadn't dropped a bike in thirty years.
Then you must be the perfect rider, everone knows a good rider has fallen a few times.
13 accidents in 8 years and walked away from 12.
1 of us is doing something wrong :)
@@zavier1304 lol a good rider has fallen a few times? Some logic lol
How can I buy a bike from you?
Here in the UK due to the frame on my ZX9R cracking its had to be dismantled, it had 85,000 miles on it and pulled like a train, all servicing has been by me since 10,000 miles mark. I've just gone and bought a replacement, another 2002 ZX9R with 20k on, look after these bikes and they'll go as long as you want them to 26k miles is barely run in on either a 750 or 9OO and up.
Is the mileage good for this bike?
Brosapprentice no mine is gas guzzler because it has custom cam work
He never asked about how ur mom is a gas guzzler
is this 2002 gsxr 750 Fuel injected, i keep hearing mixed responses about the 1st gens
Fuel injected but had a choke.
@@basketkosarka its a fast idle lever, and yes injection.
Umm, not a 2000 for one. Prolly 2001 or 2002. 2000 was Red white and blue... Gorgeous color scheme. Those levers are 100% jacked, Mirrors are effed, sound is about right though, but You have got to get it above 10K... That's where it sings.
How can you take the choke off, Isn’t the 2000 fuel injected?
It's actually a high idle lever for cold starts they became fuel injected in 98 the 600s were still carbed till 01 when they released the 1k
Like for the scripture!
Красиво у вас),дороги хорошие.Ты где живёшь?
fav gsxr superman light
Sounds a little rough when accelerating, sort of a throatee sound. Is this model a shaft drive?
no
Nah that's how it sounds when accelerating.
Not a choke it's a high idle switch that looks like a choke lever
Belleza de moto
Yes it can it is a good bike
I prefer something like this that's why I got my Suzuki gsx600f
Unplug the wire that triggers the exhaust mod f1 light goes away
The answer is still yes, I have a 2002 GSXR750.
I just got me one wit 27k miles 2002 my first bike
Got one same Year wish I could send you pictures of what I did I actually put a Sidewinder on it
