I completed Distant Worlds 2 with one way back when I played under a different gamertag on PS4-Pro, wised up and on PC now and still use the good ol' Conda pretty religiously.
I’ve been travelling with this baby half of the galaxy, seeing multiple nebulas, planets with all kind of relief forms, dropping my fighter into deepest canyons, landing on the edge of a cliff watching multiple sunrises or sunsets… I have feelings for this ship. 😂😂
with the dangly bits in the cockpit no, get your aspx/phantom(or if seeing this tuesday the 29th, mandalay), use them for explo/bio, or work imp/fed in anything for clipper/cutter/corv
Just imagine having a small apartment in your ships. Starfeild had the right way to go about ship interiors, you didn't have to go walk around the ship if you didn't want to, you could walk from the hatch to the cotpit but there was another option to just spawn you directly to your seat as is the default in odyssey. For the ppl that like it as it is and want ship interiors WE CAN ALL HAVE BOTH
Yes it is… in many ways it’s the OP in every regard. Best jump, best hardness, best number of weapons, most utility slots, has the biggest power dist. It’s not fastest and lacks size 8 cargo and it’s sluggish but it can do lots of roles. I use 3 ships for 90% of game. Krait2, Python, and anaconda. I have 6 of each (and every other ship in the game) but I mostly use these 3 - and dbx taxi
I got 4 anacondas and planing on buying 1 more. I love this ship. Pvp and pve? Yes. Cargo and mining? Yes. Targoid? Yes. Exploration? Yes! Beast of a ship!
@@PhantomSausage I have 3 of those, but my anti xeno efforts are more fun in a type 10 loaded with turreted multi cannons. It's purpose made for killing scouts. A few regen lasers never hurt anyone either ;)
Anaconda can be many things. Explorer. Miner. Miner/combat build so you can defend yourself against pirates. Combat build which there are many. Mine tend to be a nice mix of weapons so im hitting the enemy wirh every type of damage
My Anaconda, the Auto-Penectomy made me a multi-billionaire at the Spires. For mining it has a much bigger distributor than the cutter too so can wield 5 mining lasers, cooking up a treat.
I wish that little cockpit on the underside of the nose was a useable control position. It's in the perfect position for certain operations. You got it right about the Anaconda. It is a true multi-role ship, and a good one at that. I love my Condas. ❤🤍💙
Went to Beagle point in mine. Worked for months for it, via the AspX and exploring and the Python doing cargo and Combat, but this beast can do it all. Retired it into doing PvE at this point but was certainly worth the grind.
Interesting stuff about the cargo hatch! I use mine as a FOB (pulling thru other ships around the bubble to perform missions or to be engineered) + Material Farming (Jameson/HGEs/Minerals/Guardian) + Deep Space exploration. It is the command ship of my fleet - love it.
before I got a fleet carrier I thought my condas were my capital ships I used to move great distances for my interests. its still true and I would welcome a conda 2.0
I have a few, ones a jumpaconda and i cant deal with not boosting, so will have to out a bigger power distributor on it and lose a few lyrs!! Loving all the content mate, you are busy!
I hear a complaint from other players that play SC the other space game (unfinished), that they, : don't like Elite for the ships because they are all like Swiss Army knives", so, what they are telling me is an attack ship should be an attack, explorer needs to be that. I disagree it's about modules in Eilte, these are industrious devices that go into space and they need to be military qualities with no calculated or planned obsolescent like a car. I think Elite balances with module sizing per ship.
@@ChadWinters Maaannnnnn the egal objectively sucks unless you have some engineering done and some intense flight skills. I run a multi purpose anaconda battleship and a long range Corvette war ship. My egal I use it just to pick up missions from the smaller stations and I throw some engineering on it every so often bc that ship is just a work of art. I just hope I'll have it aftermarket enough to some day go toe to toe with anacondas in the haz res
the only Anaconda's wickness, as far as i'm concerned, regards its lower deck and those huge front windows we cannot see through from .....if you know what I mean.....i know you do Ricardo
Quite a simple ship really, as it is acceptable into any given profession. The only real downside is it can be a wee bit slow around the corners (given for a larger ship) and it cannot land at outposts. No read reason to hate this baby!
Thanks for the video. Medium ships are for me, for now. I likely need to get some raw materials for Anaconda upgrades for it to be useful as a Bubble multirole. (goes to see how far I last got with engineers)
I play for 7-8 years, and still don't own one. I just don't feel like I need it - vette, krait and viper for combat, t9 for cargo, cutter for mining, dbx, phantom, aspx and (don't laugh) cobra mk4 for exploration. I don't do AX, but I think of using t10 for that. Pvp... nonononono.
I used the T10 for Spire sites, its very slow and doesnt have as much fire power as the Anaconda, which is still superior for that. I would use a Krait2 over the T10 and is a much better all rounder than all, Titans, interveptors etc.
I bought one probably six years ago and never did anything with it. I'm probably going to kit that one up for exploration and buy a second one for undetermined use. I haven't felt the need to work on it as I have a DBX and AspX both in the 70+ly range. And I already have a mean Corvette for combat and my Cutter is slated for mining & cargo, so I don't really know what I'd use a second Conda for...
For me the Anaconda does not make sense since it's using large thrusters while having lightweight mass but its so slow. Also it turns very slow while in supercruise... That's not ideal for exploring or collecting engineering materials. Those are just some downsides that I noticed if you are interested in any of its downsides.
I have both the anaconda and the Corvette, Corvette is really only good for combat, the anaconda is good for just about everything, and you can build one to be multipurpose and be good at several things simultaneously. Corvette tho it's too specialized. I like to run with both a SRV bay and fighter bay, both with two slots, all of the flight assists, multi limpet controllers, fuel scoops and FSD boosters. You can have all those in the anaconda and it still be great at combat but the Corvette you can't fit all of that in it and be as good
i am new and using type-9 for profits atm. and i felt the L Pad problems. Already start to find a M Type ships already with good cargo capacity. i just buy phyton and turn it to miner. Second best PVE Combat ship, Best Exploration ship, one of the best long-Range passenger ships, Good Miner, looks great, sounds pretty good, one of the downright "coolest" ships in the game and the only weaknesses are that its cargo capacity being low for a large ship and the fact it's utterly useless in PVP, but since only insecure 14 year olds play PVP, that's not a problem. TLDR, buy one.
