You talked about it on stream once, and i think it wouldd be a good thing to add: Round differential should give or take away points. Something like: 13 - 0 gives + - 3 points 13 - 1 to 13 - 4 gives + - 2 points 13 - 5 to 13 - 8 gives + - 1 point and anything above 13 - 9 doesn't give any extra points Because with the current system you get penilized by wining fast by not being able to get more kills imo, so this would slightly balance it out :)
i think 13-0 should be 5 and scale from there tbh, that's worth 10 kills and 6 assists which i think is fair for a game with 11 fewer rounds than a full game without OT, plus there should just be a bonus for 13-0 as an achievement so 5 is fair imo

I know eSports doesn't always map nicely to other sports, but some things that could be nice to alter are: - Role limitations: most fantasy sports force you to pick only a certain number of players of a certain position. Feels weird you could almost always go with mostly duelists. - De-emphasizing if the player's team wins: for Fantasy football and basketball that is a non-factor. Most fantasy sports are purely stats, not actual wins and losses. Regardless, yall are my goats

This is a brilliant idea and move, TMV... if it works and sticks with the community, this can even attract sponsorships to the scene in the future. I see it as a positive for the scene.
As other people are saying there should be some sort of role locks, however, since there is a lot of variability with comps in valo I think a way to implement this would be to have archetypes, for example dbl duelist or dbl init, etc. If you chose to build a team with a traditional or meta archetype you would be playing it safe with no additional rewards in case it works nor extra penalizations if it goes wrong. If you didn't play a traditional or meta archetype then it would be a high risk - high reward type situation, with the weirder comps having more potential to gain more points but also more potential to lose a lot more points. Each player would have as many role tags as needed to reflect the roles they usually play, for example Miniboo: duelist; Woot: initiator, controller, duelist; etc. You would be able to select which role you wanted them to play and it would apply the stats they have with that role. Also I think it would be a good rule to make an IGL necessary in the team, so there would be an IGL tag for players that are IGLs.

I reckon in the future making it position based with the flex role allowing you to choose any player and actual flex players just having multiple tags for each role they play more than like 33% of the time
I love this so much. I think getting points for winning in a playoff/tournament fantasy league is a poor feature though, since by winning your players automatically get to play more games and score more points (its a great feature in the "regular season" though). It would be really cool to build out your roster by role as well, maybe even do some sort of category league? (Kills, K/D, Assists, First Kills, First deaths, clutches, plants, round win differential). It would add a lot of strategy to roster building, making sure you have guys who can fill out a roster and not just fraggers
If at some point you can find a way to create lobbies so that players can organize into leagues of smth like 10 players to a league and that way they could draft their team in a snake-style draft with a randomized order, that would be a good way to do it to avoid situations like high level players being too cheap. Then the players teams could match up weekly the same way they do in fantasy football. Also maybe have roster requirements based on role so that somebody can’t just start 5 duelists who are likely gonna put up more points. Like for instance in their starting 5 there’s a slot for the duelist and then slots for a smoker, a flex player, that sort of thing. Just some ideas, this is dope as it is ofc

So I was in a discord server and we would do a fantasy draft of players for each international tournament with points based off of kills assist deaths and round wins with players priced at different amounts. It was a ton of fun the onlything is it was too reliant on picking the players that were on teams that advanced further than other teams players
first add min requirement eg, atleast one player for each role(3 duelists in ur team). Second add 1.5x multiplier for IGL cards if their team wins they get more points as its obv they will most of time be mid to lowest in frags.

Ehy awesome idea! I've been doing a valorant fantasy championship with my friends from 2021 and we've developed a point system that i think it's working. If you want i can share with you our work and our data collected from last years. It would be a pleasure for me to help because right now my group of friends is not very interested in this, and I wish all the work I've done is not wasted
You should also add points based on how long games go, people should not be punished because a game only lasts 15 rounds because a team got stomped and miss out on more kill/assist points.
I think you should account for roles as well-because duelist players on average get more kills, most people might just want to add a team of 5 star duelists. maybe limit each team with 2 duelists max?
The budget disparity isnt big enough. Id want the highest player at 16-18 and the lowest a like 8/10 to make meaningful choices. You can fr make a super team with 2 super bench players. 12*8 is 96 and there are way too many good players at 12-13. I think team ranking should be in consideration as well for the season start.
I think it'd be cool if you could make not only a global ranking but group rankings with you and your friends so you can see eachother's points and drafts and you don't start creating discords no one wants to be in to track eachother
Might need to remove the points for team winning thing. It really narrows down what players you’d want to select. For example, I’d like to pick Aspas, but I don’t think MIBR is winning many games. I’m missing out on too many points to be worth it.
I don't understand why is it important to have good bench players, the points are only given to the main players right? So why not spend 16vp to get the best players and buy the cheapest ones for the bench
