- "THE BRAK SHOW - Opening titles" (2000) Produced by Wild Hare Studios for Williams Street for Cartoon Network. Animation directed by Matthew I. Jenkins. Some characters and sequences were eventually sub-contracted to Big Deal Cartoons by Cartoon Network... that animation was generally designed and directed by me. When I was offered the Brak Show originally it was on the condition that I would have to quit work on Space Ghost to do it. I instead differed the show to Matthew and he produced it through Wild Hare Studios. As the show progressed I got more and more calls from CN to animate villains and monsters and the like for the show... (it was becoming my schtick!). I provided Zorak and many other character voices in all of the 29 episodes. (Note - The title sequence uses back plates that were shot at my house by Primal Screen primarily for the "Brakula" sequence in "BRAK PRESENTS THE BRAK SPECIAL STARRING BRAK". Brak is leaning in my front door, Dad is in my easy chair, and Mom is in front of my kitchen window.)

Surprisingly one of my friends did. I didn't talk about it much, because I discovered it when I was 16, (the 2012 Cartoon Planet was out, I thought Brak looked familiar, kinda went down the Wikipedia rabbit hole and discovered SGC2C and The Brak Show), the show cancelled when I was 9, and unless some kids parents let them watch adult swim when they were kids, probably no one else in my class had heard of it. But I was drawing a Brak picture (I did some of my best artwork in between classes, idk why), and my friend was like "Holy crap, that's Brak!" and then I was like "You like The Brak Show too!?"

@@CartoonPrincess15 a lot of people probably watched it through reruns. I was way too young when the show cancelled, but I remember seeing reruns later on.
@@BasedRedemption I didn't have cable at my house when I was a kid until I was 14, so I wasn't aware of adult swim shows on Cartoon Network, like sometimes I would watch Cartoon Network, or Disney Channel, or Nickelodeon, you know, the cool channels, when I was at Grandma's house, or a friend's house. I probably would have been allowed to see at least The Brak Show, since Mom did allow me to watch The Simpsons and Futurama, those are really the only adult cartoons I remember I was allowed to see, my sis and bro watched Brak Show with me when I was a teenager, they were about 11 and 6. Idk, it seemed like everyone in my class had cable, and they all watched Cartoon Network, so even if they didn't watch Brak, they probably at least were aware of it.

This show was really mild by Adult Swim standards!
And that's one of the things I found charming about it, it didn't have to be offensive and over the top in order to be funny and amazing!
Cartoon Network was still experimenting with the block at the time this show was on, it wasn’t until 2005 would Adult Swim fully become TV-MA.

I remember watching reruns of this show in middle school and questioning as to why this is considered an "adult show" since it's so tame when compared to other adult swim shows with barley any swearing in the show at all

I noticed as a kid Zorak wears a different colored gloves in this show than the one he wears on Space Ghost.

To be fair, in Space Ghost, Zorak had very inconsistent colorings depending on which scenes they used for Coast to Coast lol.
There was onea joke in a new years thing Adult Swim did that explained that there are two different Zoraks between The Brak Show and Space Ghost

I had no idea Zorak was originally a member of UA-cam. I just found his channel. It is sad he's no longer with us.

The Brak Show, Space Ghost, Sealab 2020, Harvey Birdman and Oblongs were def my top four watches on A.S! Even on school day i would stay up watch em' still went to school worked my butt off once it was Study Hall which was a 2 hour class so i easily got my rest repeated this 5 times a week 🤣🤣 Thank you Adult Swim for making my teenhood golden!
They literally don’t make shows like this anymore. Andy Merrill and Martin C. Croker managed to put adult swim on the map with nothing but Adobe, a few microphones, a closet, and a dream.
Now he works at Amazon with barely a penny to his name while Adult Swim is worth hundreds of millions.
