The Kid did great! Fell down and got back up with a great attitude. It's the only way to learn.. Just put a down deposit on a 22 390rrs. They are so hard to find. I can't freakin wait.
Good to hear! Range on the 390 is good. I did run out once after several hours of giving it the beans. I would say normal is 60 per tank? 25 mpg is about right - but I don’t keep careful track as most rides we do are easily one tank.
Teaching friends wife to ride. Same thing, Trouble came and throttle was hit. Explained to her normal reaction is to twist wrist. Have to learn to not to do that when on a bike. We all did and or do it.
Taking the boss's kid dirt biking is a ballsy move. i don't see any upside. He either ends up loving it and now the boss has a very expensive hobby for his son, or you get him killed. LOL! (Looks like you were almost successful in the latter! )
All of those things occurred to me, but only in hindsight. D'OH! I thought for sure he broke something in that first crash. "How am I going to explain this????" I do need a new set of plastics though -- I won't bring that up when I see the boss.
The fours strokes are definitely interesting but the power bands on a two stroke seem to be better for the real technical stuff. Looking forward to trying a four stroke in the near future. Great videos keep them coming.
He keeps falling on the corners because he is sitting too far forward and is leaning in to the corner like a street bike and not away from the corner like a dirt bike. Also looks like his tires are hard, that will give him a small contact patch. He is very novice and that cool but some simple advice on his riding style and he will be 50% better.
If he is looking for riding tips, he came to the wrong place!! Probably lucky to be alive. I think the best idea is to practice where there are no trees and boulders??? What were we thinking
It's a 2014, purchased new. I put a VHS head on it a while ago -- well, I had my friend do it. And Factory Connection suspension. Otherwise stock. Really a fun bike, although maybe starting to show its age against the very newest bikes.

He’s a brave boy! And congrats on the 390 - very nice. I think you will enjoy it 👍👍
Hi mate, love the videos. What range do you get on a tank on the 390RR ?

@@eddielawsonjr.8705 ok cheers. Might invest in IMS 15 litre tank then
I just ordered the larger tank, btw. Thanks for the reminder!!
No mention of standing up? Would have helped him a great deal. Nice video.
We told him! It was a lot to take on all at once, I think.
@@eddielawsonjr.8705 LOL, yeah I remember my first ride, your right...whoa.. hang on !! LOL
great video again
Thank you - happy you enjoyed it. That was a fun day.

Keeping the elbows up helped me with that … and a finger on the clutch!
That's cool! Next time you're looking to break a newbie in let me know :D.

Your lucky he made it lol
It was quite frightening. But … he was fine. More or less!
Looks like a great bike for a great day riding. 💪
Those Beta 390's have caught me eye as well. One of Kyle of DirtBike Channel's favorite rides, too.
Everybody should have at least one 390, if not several. One man’s opinion.

Thank you. I was sort of a four-stroke doubter, but this 390 is special. We just got back from a Beta demo day, and the 390 was very popular. 👍👍

I think the boss needs to buy you some new plastic 😉
Where was this? Trails looks fun.
Clough State Park in New Hampshire- lots of good riding.
What year is your 200?
