And my spirit is telling me, it's some real slick, lowkey shade. Like I feel this person letting me know they don't too much care for me deep down like they pretend. I just start peeping in general how some people are so slow to give you props but quick to talk to you about bs. And it's not a thing about being "cosigned", "accepted", or about social media likes, it's the message behind that. I pay attention to how people act with me in real life and online. In reality they not mad at me, they mad at God for manifesting these gifts through me.

Someone I considered a true friend turned out to be a jealous back stabber and hurt me badly. They've never said it to my face, but I know a lot of people think I'm "funny acting" or a bitch because I don't act like somebody is my best friend after knowing them for a week or 2 and I don't like to huddle up in groups and stuff. From my direct experience, females / ppl of color tend to be some of the worst haters. I'm 28, a woman of color and I can't tell you how many times I've had females / ppl of color talking mess about me. These were individuals that I didn't even know existed. I grew up with losers in my mother's family trying to downgrade me and claim I was never going to do anything with my life / I was a nobody. I live my life for me and really don't care to and have never cared to follow ppl / trends. I know that's what scares these fools. A lot of them that have spoken about me worked / work minimum wage jobs that they probably earn little to no money, have kids they don't want and look miserable dealing with them, etc. I am happy I am not a follower and live my life for myself.

I have been at my new job for over six months, and when first I met this woman (older than me, 50-ish), I instantly knew something was "off". This woman practically stared me down the entire time. I noticed she was always negative, depressive, and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder about life. Been at that job for many years, and is miserable. Before long, she started trying to get really clingy with me, asking a ton of personal questions (I didn't fall for that). Then the copying started: the way I dress, the way I speak, hair color, etc. When I noticed this, I cut her off as much as I could (I don't speak to her at all). Even then, she started following me to the restroom, to the break room, around the office, etc. She tells lies about me behind my back, but is "sweet" to my face. She used to butt into my conversations with other colleagues, but that's stopped (I ended up snapping on her). I started documenting her, with times and dates, and reported her to my boss. It was getting out of hand. The "following" has pretty much subsided, but she still copies... I do agree, these people aren't wrapped too tight, and need to be kept at a great distance (or cut off). I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. At least in your case, she no longer works with you. I'm just waiting on my own Single Black Female to vanish... LOL...

Actually I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 36 years old and I work in a corporate office. One of my coworkers has been taking settled jabs at me lately. I am a paygrade or two higher than her and I know when one of my co-workers got a position like mine she was hating on him and by the way she's not a sista, just staying. I started to keep my distance from her because I work with her and I didn't want any issues. Sometimes you have to separate yourself from others who are not there for you and who is negative.

I had a friend who talked the worst smack about me behind back, I nearly fell backwards when I heard about what she saying and yet the sweetest person to my face. Red flag number number one was when I told her off twice for talking bad about a mutual friend of ours, yet still continued to do so. I realized it was insecurity and wrote it off - but how much are you supposed to take - negative, toxic people who can ruin your reputation have got to go! And at the very end we were talking on the phone and I told her I had to run, I needed to get to the market before it closes. I was in such a rush, I left it to her to hang up as I said goodbye. i still heard my blue tooth going but didn't think much of it - until I heard the words directly coming from that little loud speaker. Telling her son, he needed to move his car from the "sinner's" house. I'm like seriously, okay - first of all those who those live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones especially when they have pebbles compared to yours!. Anyway, it's amazing how hard it is to sometimes what to see or accept people for who they are and not what they appear on the surface. When you hear it directly through a blue tooth speaker makes it a lot easier! And who has time for those types of people, life is hard enough, let them wallow in their own negativity instead of trying to bring you down with them.

From my direct experience, females / ppl of color tend to be some of the worst haters. I'm 28, a woman of color and I can't tell you how many times I've had females / ppl of color talking mess about me. These were individuals that I didn't even know existed. I grew up with losers in my mother's family trying to downgrade me and claim I was never going to do anything with my life / I was a nobody. I live my life for me and really don't care to and have never cared to follow ppl / trends. I know that's what scares these fools. A lot of them that have spoken about me worked / work minimum wage jobs that they probably earn little to no money, have kids they don't want and look miserable dealing with them, etc. I am happy I am not a follower and live my life for myself.

Hey girl I got an update for you! The girl that was doing all that crazy mess at my job turned around and acted a fool and got fired. I'm not rejoicing over something bad happening to her I'm just glad it's over because she was really stepping on my toes and acting super bizarre. 😕
Miss Tonya c007 OMG... I feel like I could have written this myself. I am going through this EXACT same thing with a co-worker!! I have been at my new job for over six months, and when first I met this woman (older than me, 50-ish), I instantly knew something was "off". This woman practically stared me down the entire time. I noticed she was always negative, depressive, and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder about life. Been at that job for many years, and is miserable. Before long, she started trying to get really clingy with me, asking a ton of personal questions (I didn't fall for that). Then the copying started: the way I dress, the way I speak, hair color, etc. When I noticed this, I cut her off as much as I could (I don't speak to her at all). Even then, she started following me to the restroom, to the break room, around the office, etc. She tells lies about me behind my back, but is "sweet" to my face. She used to butt into my conversations with other colleagues, but that's stopped (I ended up snapping on her). I started documenting her, with times and dates, and reported her to my boss. It was getting out of hand. The "following" has pretty much subsided, but she still copies... I do agree, these people aren't wrapped too tight, and need to be kept at a great distance (or cut off). I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. At least in your case, she no longer works with you. I'm just waiting on my own Single Black Female to vanish... LOL...

Lol yup I go through this all the time..I know women up in age who hate on me real bad. I learned to not get mad just laugh. I role by myself. My children and a few male friends No females allowed.

I have an Aunt that always has something negative to say to me. She never says anything positive. What she's jealous of? I will never know.

Ironically, I made a video about women being jealous if each other. Women are competitive by nature. If they can't say anything positive, they don't need to be in your life.

Actually I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 36 years old and I work in a corporate office. One of my coworkers has been taking settled jabs at me lately. I am a paygrade or two higher than her and I know when one of my co-workers got a position like mine she was hating on him and by the way she's not a sista, just staying. I started to keep my distance from her because I work with her and I didn't want any issues. Sometimes you have to separate yourself from others who are not there for you and who is negative.

why do women have to be so jealous of eachother? I have never understood that. I thought women would want to stick together because of all the sexism in this society. I love to see all women being successful and being their unique selves. I had a few "friends" like this and I didn't even realize until I stopped hanging out with them. Jealousy can make any woman ugly. so petty.I guess I feel like nobody should be jealous of me. thats why I choose my friends wisely now.

ok ladies ima be honest, I've always struggled with jealousy when something or someone is mine, it belongs to me and I don't like anyone or anything coming in between that. (pray for me ya'll) however I've always prided myself that I was never jealous of other women. if I see you look good, I tell you because I believe, especially with my sistas, that you deserve to be complimented. give credit where it is due!!!! you could change someone's life just by genuinely going out of your way to make them smile. If she looks good tell her!!!!!

I had a friend who talked the worst smack about me behind back, I nearly fell backwards when I heard about what she saying and yet the sweetest person to my face. Red flag number number one was when I told her off twice for talking bad about a mutual friend of ours, yet still continued to do so. I realized it was insecurity and wrote it off - but how much are you supposed to take - negative, toxic people who can ruin your reputation have got to go! And at the very end we were talking on the phone and I told her I had to run, I needed to get to the market before it closes. I was in such a rush, I left it to her to hang up as I said goodbye. i still heard my blue tooth going but didn't think much of it - until I heard the words directly coming from that little loud speaker. Telling her son, he needed to move his car from the "sinner's" house. I'm like seriously, okay - first of all those who those live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones especially when they have pebbles compared to yours!. Anyway, it's amazing how hard it is to sometimes what to see or accept people for who they are and not what they appear on the surface. When you hear it directly through a blue tooth speaker makes it a lot easier! And who has time for those types of people, life is hard enough, let them wallow in their own negativity instead of trying to bring you down with them.
A good indicator of how a person is going to treat you is how they treat others. If you hear them stabbing other people in the back, it's more than likely they're doing the same thing to you behind yours.
