I went back to my home yesterday from my parents home
So this week, I didn't make bentos.
I'm planning to upload my bento making video next week!

That was SO FREAKING KIND AND SWEET of your him to cook up and pack a lunch (a rather nicely prepped one at that) for you both for the Hiking trip in Ibaraki, as a way of showing his appreciation of your hard work making sure that he has a nice lunch each day. I hope you both thoroughly enjoyed yourselves on that day, the view of Mt.Tsukuba looked amazing!
To Hanako's Husband: Seriously sir, bless your heart for treating Hanako (and yourself of course) to a nice home cooked/packed lunch during the trip, that's more than incredibly kind of you. Also, I'd say that you really nailed making the Kaarage and the rolled omelette; while the dressed green beans and the two types of Onigiri looked tasty too. Awesome job dude!
On a cuteness scale of ten, this is an eleven! You had to have the best looking lunch at the summit.

Hanako san, thank you for all of the wonderful videos of your simple, yet nourishing bentos! My husband isn't a fan of Japanese cuisine, but my kids are, and I love making these for them! It's unusual to bring packed lunches in my country, but they always ask for bento, and I do it gladly.
As for your husband, as a wife myself, who takes care of everyone else, but me, remember to surprise her with bento or dinner by you once a week or every two weeks. It's such a lovely surprise to get from my hubby and it makes me feel appreciated and loved every time. He says it's not much, compared to what I do, but to me it means the world. I bet Hanako will feel the same if you surprise her with house work or cooking.

Ahh, this was such a nice surprise, a husbando bento!! His bento looked like the ones I make so it was very reassuring 🤣 I really appreciate the tip for the onigiri; although I quite like softened dried seaweed I also like it crispy too so I will definitely try this technique myself. I was impressed by his deep frying skills too! I'm still too timid to try it as much as I'd like to make karaage 😅

Oooo, the view looked so pretty! I live in an area that is flat, if you can find a small hill you can see all the way to the horizon, like an ocean of farms and pastures 😆 Whenever I see mountains I always stare in awe.

Also, I like both crispy and soft seaweed, but with onigiri I do like when it has softened just enough to become one with the rice.

I am still practicing making tamagoyaki. I almost always rip mine and it turns out ugly. Still delicious, though! Your tamagoyaki may have gotten a little dark, but it still looked tasty!
