    Wow this is the first video on UA-cam that has successfully made a beautiful latte art using the Creatista! I’ve had my machine for years and have never succeeded once! I’m gonna try your trick tomorrow ;)

    Only after watching your video so many times that I noticed that you put a cup underneath the espresso dispenser. Little things like this makes me wish there is like a Creatista enthusiasts who can optimise the use of this awesome looking machine! So glad there is this channel at least!

    This is the type of tutorial video I like watching and will save for future rewatch.
    No need for nonsense editing, long pointless explanations about the creatista machine or big production values. Just straight forward shows process and method of steaming milk with this machine with short simple text to explain.

    I don't recommend taking the drip tray off, especially considering that the Creatista does an automatic steam purge if you nudge the wand or press finish.
    In my opinion, setting 4 with ample air injection (steaming the top of the milk at the point where it sounds like paper tearing) by tilting the jug will get you perfect milk without overthinking it. That being said, different methods work for different people and this method clearly works well for you.

    • @winscar9097

      hi Lewis. What temperature would you recommend if you’re using setting 4 and would you just leave the pitcher on the drip tray without manually “controlling” it? It’s never worked for me :( the consistency is very frothy and thick. Can’t pour latte art….

    For a cappuccino I have to dirty 2 containers to pay at least 0.90 € (capsule + electricity + milk). Spend at least 5 minutes + time to clean and rinse. And finally I have to throw away the residual milk so as not to keep it for the next day.
    But isn’t it cheaper nice and relaxing to pick it up at the bar for € 1.40?

    Ok why would you use your hand for temperature control when the machine already has a sensor underneath the milk jug. Also why would you use a dual action machine if you want to do the coffee first milk next. It does both simultaneously. You turned the fully automatic and super fast machine into a time consuming two, three, four steps coffee making! As if that time wasting any many steps was not enough you switch jugs. All you need is a primitive style coffee machine because you are not using the advantages of one button coffee machine!

    • @bwong769
      @bwong769  2 роки тому +13

      The problem I have with this machine is the inconsistency of making frothed milk for latte art. That's why I need to hack it in order to have more control(steam wand angle, air injection time, temperature) hence the requirement to take out the drip tray.

      If you work in specialty coffee, are a fan of a smooth microfoam, or just have a preference for how aerated your milk is, it is helpful to be able to control the steaming yourself. Everyone has different preferences! There are many advantages to this machine beyond simply the dual action feature. If you want a real steam wand at home without having to buy a full sized espresso machine, this is a great option. Good to hear you like their preset options though! If it made the perfect milk every single time with no need for variation, there would be no customization options for the steaming ;)
