Great video, I am in Australia, recently retired and currently fitting out a 2024 model Troopy. My previous Toyota I have had since new & it is still going well after 21 years. I expect my grandsons will be driving them both long after I am gone. Safe travels
The temptation to “kit” out the exterior is real. But honestly, we have no need to look super aggressive. The vehicle gets the job done and has almost nothing excessive
Thanks for the tour, I've been watching you're videos and really wanted to see your layout, especially after seeing that you had a toilet in the vehicle swap vid.
Thanks for the support! We would love to dive into that world, but boy is it intimidating to pull out a camera when surrounded by locals and not speaking their language very well
@@gdayjambo Agreed you need to first get consent to film especially if their kids and then most times the spontaneous moment is lost. But in fairness you guys have taken us in to towns a little.
Love it, how happy are you with the lizard skin? I am kinda scared to put it underneath the vehiecle due to rockchips etc. I attempt to build a overlander from a BJ42 Landcruiser.😂
nice to meet you. very cool troopy Please tell me the length from behind the driver's seat to the back hatch, the width of the interior, and the height of the interior with the pop-top closed.
I like using the Goal Zero for simplicity but would you do it again. We use a 500 lithium Goal Zero just for the fridge when camping and a portable solar unit. Great job.
We would not do the goal zero again. It is simple but it just isn't refined enough to be the right fit for us. If anything brakes we have no good way of getting spare parts.
You may want to have your steering checked. When Nick was driving it, he remarked there was play in it. There shouldn't be any. I had to have parts in my 2005 Nissan Titan steering replaced in 2014 at only about 75,000 miles. Off road can be very tough on steering parts.
@@gdayjambo None the less, next time it is up on a lift, have the mechanic look at the steering linkage and other parts. I once had a car with loose steering. Turns out it was the ball joints. I had to replace them numerous times because little did I know it had been in an accident and wore them out. Steering is not supposed to be loose or go 5 degrees of a turn of the steering wheel until you feel something happen. Not trying to freak you out. Just get it checked when you have an opportunity. If it is fine, good for you.
Just one more comment. You can restore most vehicles to perform up to original specs. (if they are not too far gone and I trust Jambo was not) With performance parts, a vehicle can be better than original. Nick got performance shocks and it now drives better than ever.
George Carlin spoke about "Stuff". We all need less stuff. Material possessions, greed and decadence are what is wrong. Why do people go away with all the goods of home ?
Nice to see the walk around. I have been trying to work it all out over the past couple month watching your videos. Would love if you DM’d me on Insta how you did those window overs. Need one like for my daughters downstairs sleeping spot.🤙

I like the simplicity and practicality of your set up.
It was tempting to throw a bunch more gear onto it, but we are happy with the simplicity
Agreed some people just get so complicated with the build.
This is awesome guys!
Very sensible setup. And the Troopy will get you a long way off the beaten tracks.
She's a beast.
Pragmatic setup... I love it. I especially love that you kept the exterior simple compared to most overlanders I see these days.

The toilet has been pretty key for international travel. Thanks for watching!
Great looking Troopy :)
Beautiful Overland Vehicle .
Thanks 🙏
Epic troopy
Cheers!
Doing the Aussie beast proud enjoy
Very nice setup. Enjoy life💓.
Wow, you're living the life mate.
Nuff respect
Bless up
Watching from the land downunder Sydney NSW
Outstanding job!
Good job on the conversion. 👍🏻
Thank you!!
Years ago I imported a Japanese 1989 LC69VX with the 12HD-T mated to a H55F tranny. An amazing combo. One of the LC's I wish I hadn't sold.
Haha oh no! We always say we would never sell Jambo because we have heard so many people say they regret selling their Toyotas
Nice work, with such an icon vehicle.
Very nice guys
Love your channel I would love to see more interaction with local people how they live etc

Good job on the build. The rooftop conversion is the way to go.

We love the lizard skin. It has been very durable on the interior, but I don’t know how well it would hold up underneath.
I need this on my 4th gen 4runner!
nice to meet you. very cool troopy

Sweet truck do u mind telling me how much did the truck cost you, I’m think about acquiring one thanx!
A 38 year old Land Cruiser?
Its probably just about run in by now. It will go another 50 years

Maybe look at the type of fridge 🤷♀ and how much it consumes?

I really liked this video, very interesting. And for your dog's food, where do you store it?
Thanks! Roan's food is stored in a plastic container under the sink and we keep a big bag in the bench.
Awesome work! How does the storage box work as it’s mounted vertically? No issues with it? And how have you mounted it to the vehicle? Thanks!
Love this. Any chance you guys could make a video on the import process?
I wish we could, but it was imported by the previous owner
Wow! The cost on this setup blew my mind! 🤯
Haha did you expect it to be higher or lower
Very reasonable I thought
What is the plan for the central American countries that do not allow RHD vehicles? Just ship it to Colombia?
Yes, ship around to Colombia is the plan.

A 37 year old vehicle will never drive like an 11 year old vehicle so I am not surprised that Nick felt like there was play 😂

@@gdayjambo Yip Bug netting.👍
