Withered Chica is honestly pretty scary, I say it is the fact that the whole endo head is lowered and it makes her eye sockets so big, this makes the eyes pop. They just stare into your soul. It is terrifying. Edit: Woah, thanks for the likes, never got that many
Also Mangle can be the 2nd terrifying animatronic. Because its skeleton can be fully seen. I said the 2nd animatronic, because in fact, it’s still a toy. It looks kid-friendly (only some parts of them. Example: Head). When Mangle was fixed (before the tragedy happened to it), yeah, it looked more kid-friendly than now. But it’s understandable why. *I avoided saying “Her/Him” for a good reason.* *Now, for me, FNAF 2 animatronics aren’t scary.*
I’m super glad I found your channel! This sort of “fnaf renaissance” we’re in right now is so incredible to me. I’ve been into this series since I was 10, and now I’m 17- so I really appreciate videos like these. They remind me that those childhood memories aren’t gone yet.
Withered Chica is literally the only fnaf character that ever gave me nightmares. 7 years later and I still see her in my dreams sometimes. What good character design.
I had my hand on my keyboard at the end and when the jumpscare happened, I accidentally knocked my keyboard onto the floor. The worst part is that I expected it.
random thought: but if we can go off the theory that mike went back and is actually the protagonist in Fnaf 2 & 1, maybe the shadow animatronics are his fearful hallucinations considering he saw his brother die at the hands of Golden Freddy, and maybe saw the murders committed by Afton as Bonnie?
I honestly think the shadows are the ghosts of Fredbear's Diner during FNAF 4 - Shadow Freddy is the crying child (a purple Fredbear to represent both the animatronic that chomped him and his family's signature colour) - Shadow Bonnie is a springlock failure employee (possibly even the worker you can catch William suiting up as an easter egg on Night 2)
@@EmilyEnvisioned i don't know, my theory is that Mike smith or jeremy don't really exist, they are just a characters created to make the player relive the lore through the gameplay. Otherwise it kinda doesn't make sense that Michael is in all the pizzarias
Glad to see someone mention 8-bit Gaming's theories, those are extremely nostalgic for me. And in my opinion, a lot of they're theories are still pretty interesting. Whilst Mat Patt's theories made you feel like you were putting the lore together, 8-bit Gaming's theories made us wonder and ask questions, whether they made sense or not, and that was fun!
Easily my favourite game in the series. Nostalgia hits me hard whenever I think of the time era of Oct-Dec of 2014 along with January of 2015. FNaF 2 will always be special to me.
I’m 19 and still watching fnaf vids like these and lore vids are pretty terrifying with the combination of the creepy animatronics and the uncanny background noises. I refuse to watch these vids at night while alone 🤣
oh man I 100% agree about withered chica being one of the scariest characters. She is one of the ONLY animatronics that actually scare me just based on appearance alone, even years after the games release.
I think Withered Chica is the scariest animatronic in the series. Really scary looking, but not over the top and trying too hard like the Nightmares. There's just something really creepy about abandoned and decaying animatronics. I could see something like that actually happening to a real one and that makes her even scarier. LOVE her.
Sucks that there is a bunch of transphobic people in the comments that are getting mad over someone calling plastic Chuck E. Cheese mascot by their confirmed gender
i agree with you so much about withered chica. i think it has to be the snapped open jaw and the eyes- they bulge out like but the shadow of her facial plate makes them look huge like a human expression of fear or grief. you truly believe that shes an animatronic with a restless spirit inside
I always love seeing these types of vids and reminiscing over past times. Like imagine telling someone in 2014 that purple people puking up robot spaghetti is canon.
This was a nostalgia trip for me too. I'm glad someone else thinks that song is a banger. I felt like I had to hide the fact that I downloaded that song after watching your first video again. This video series is like opening a time capsule I buried in my back yard. Amazing. I can't wait for part 3.
Withered Chica has always been absolutely horrifying to me. Her blank stare with her wide open jaw is what makes me so scared of her. She's just so unnerving. I always thought that I was the only one who felt this way.
As much as I love William Afton, "Purple Guy" moniker and presence are more haunting and mysterious, so I hope he won't getting a reveal until later in the movies sequel
I agree entirely that Withered Chica is fucking terrifying, her dead, seemingly shocked eyes, her distended mouth. I know some people rag on the T-Posing, but it makes her look so much more unnatural as she towers over you. IDK if it's because I've been desensitized to FNAF after being a fan for so long, but none of the designs of the others are really scary (especially not the nightmares, they just try too hard and fail so much because of it) that isn't to say that their designs aren't bad, just not scary.
Withered chica honestly scares me the most out of the withered animatronics. And I don’t think I’ll be ready to see her in the upcoming sequel movie. Like my gosh, she’s gonna be terrifying as hell! 😳
This is a great video. I can't wait for the other retrospectives on the rest of the series. I found that fnaf took a huge nose dive in quality after the second game, until pizza simulator. Pizza simulator is fucking genius. You make your own pizzeria, without knowing that you will have play the night shift. Pizza simulator for me, is the right up there with the first game. The first game has a far creeper atmosphere, but pizza simulator has better gameplay.
@@riley9485 it was my least favorite of the bunch but still a very good and essential game. As someone who got into fnaf a little after the second game was released i really liked Fnaf 2 but my favorite game of the whole series is definitely sister location. The atmosphere, the animatronic designs. It had that supernatural metallic feel to the whole game. My second fave is fnaf 1/fnaf 2
I really appreciate his looking at the fandoms and their little subgenre, like the purple guy art, piemations videos, (one of my first and absolute favorite indoctrinations) and the fan songs especially. Its often left up to the viewer to know this, and while they might, its nice to hear an explanation.
Honestly hearing you review this game brings me back. I guess this is my experience all through the franchise developments I remember when the first game can out and people were always asking about It,always trying to get people to play it. Then fnaf2 coming out and everyone went nuts. People started to hear a lot more about it, it spread and that's when the inevitable happened. Kids got to it, made the animatronic's smash each other, and eventually the fanbase became a steaming hot trash. Then fnaf 3 came out, and the same old same old, only people were both siked and hesitant over it. It used more serious looks and grips than the previous two, and this is where it had its peak popularity. Honestly people were fine with just three, the story was much simpler after all. Purple guy used the spring bonnie suit to kill five kids, shut down the business then escapes the fnaf 3 fire. It's amazing to see how much the story evolved since then, how much the attention and theories helped Scott make a bigger picture. And fnaf 4 and sister location helped it much more. And even though I dislike fnaf sl for the whole "tell you everything to do and let you barely do anything" gameplay and how bad the children made it, I can admit it did help revive the series. Without it the franchise would've been dead by now, and when fnaf pizza sim came out that guaranteed the interest and popularity wouldn't decrease at any time. Honestly I have been in love with the series ever since the very first one came out, and it's been a trip to see the goods and bads that came out. I guess you could say I grew up with the series, and am glad to see it is still thriving. Sorry for writing this whole story I just got in a mood for some reason
I absolutely adore your use of he/him and she/her for Mangle 🥺 That made me so happy to hear because everyone just automatically goes to she/her for them, so it was an amazing breath of fresh air!
thank you very much!!! your videos actually took me back to the days when i was reading all theories and loved fnaf with my heart. your work is just INCREDIBLE!!! i hope these videos become super popular and your hard wоrk will pay off
I just watched the first one of these and then imagine my surprise when I go to look for the next one and it was posted only 30 minutes before I started watching it xD
I think there is a bit more nuance to the vent/hallway animatronics, with some of them you need to react with the mask faster than others, the toys have a pretty decent window for you to put on the mask, the withered animatronics have a smaller window, and golden Freddy only has a couple of frames before you’re screwed.
I love this serie you're making! Fnaf is iconic, it's so cool to look back at it now. The popularity it got, and how long it lasted, how much it engaged people (EVERYONE was making theories and playing, it was such a satisfaction when you felt like you kinda understood the lore), is no joke.
I gotta admit, I was never _really_ into fnaf as a kid like most people. I found it very interesting and liked the characters, but I never truly had a fnaf "phase." why? I honestly don't know, maybe I was just stupid. but now that I'm older and a kind of "fnaf renaissance" is happening, I'm basically fulfilling what younger me never did. fnaf is so interesting, everything from the games themselves to the lore to the characters. I absolutely love it
I love that you mentioned Vincent, that shit was so cringy but 11 year old me loved it ( and honestly I still love it ) So much cringe but so much nostalgia, love it :')
I have a vivid, seared-into-my-brain memory of sixteen-year-old me screeching in pure panic as I tried to wind up the music box while also keeping Mangle at bay. none of the fnaf games before or since could ever replicate the sheer insanity and chaos of it all. truly a masterpiece of a game
These retrospectives are easily the most comprehensive and organized retrospectives on the platform right now. I really enjoy these ones, especially the Little Nightmares one. Keep it up!
Golden freddy has always been the most terrifying character, i couldn't finish night six cause he*she*it appeared and got too scared, even if I knew how to avoid jumpscare
Loving this series. I’m loving that it’s happening now too. after a lot of fnaf hype has died down, and the ps5 game is the only concrete thing we know about and I’ll be honest I’m not thrilled about it. Having this feeling of something fnaf related being in my life right now just feels right, your videos have gotten me to start watching some other smaller UA-camrs coverage of fnaf as well. So it’s just been a nostalgia overload! Excited to see what comes next!
i used to be fucking TERRIFIED of the puppet that whenever id watch a gameplay and i heard the music box, i couldnt get myself to look at the screen. i absolutely HATED the puppet and its minigame jumpscare; but even though thats the character im most scared of, springtrap is actually the only character ive literally *hallucinated* to the point of me cowering to the floor lmao great video btw!! love all the effort youre putting into this.
Fnaf 2 has always held a special place in my heart as that was the time I was starting to like Fnaf as opposed to being scared of it. Great video as always!
I JUST found the other video you made yesterday, now you're posting the second- I can't wait, subscribing and I might end up watching this series like how I loop the game series videos when I'm stressed

I can't look at her the same since that partyroom.mp4 tape

Also Mangle can be the 2nd terrifying animatronic. Because its skeleton can be fully seen. I said the 2nd animatronic, because in fact, it’s still a toy. It looks kid-friendly (only some parts of them. Example: Head).
When Mangle was fixed (before the tragedy happened to it), yeah, it looked more kid-friendly than now. But it’s understandable why.
*I avoided saying “Her/Him” for a good reason.*
*Now, for me, FNAF 2 animatronics aren’t scary.*
I’m super glad I found your channel! This sort of “fnaf renaissance” we’re in right now is so incredible to me. I’ve been into this series since I was 10, and now I’m 17- so I really appreciate videos like these. They remind me that those childhood memories aren’t gone yet.
They will be gone soon so indeed it's good to enjoy them while we still can
Omg same I was 11 when the second game came out!

This video is too high quality.
This is such a complex yet concise dive into the game.
Well done.
random thought: but if we can go off the theory that mike went back and is actually the protagonist in Fnaf 2 & 1, maybe the shadow animatronics are his fearful hallucinations considering he saw his brother die at the hands of Golden Freddy, and maybe saw the murders committed by Afton as Bonnie?
I honestly think the shadows are the ghosts of Fredbear's Diner during FNAF 4
- Shadow Freddy is the crying child (a purple Fredbear to represent both the animatronic that chomped him and his family's signature colour)
- Shadow Bonnie is a springlock failure employee (possibly even the worker you can catch William suiting up as an easter egg on Night 2)
But Mike schmit is not michael afton, like we don't really know, I'm not sure they're the same person
@@poppysplant4511 i mean maybe mike afton used aliases for games 1&2
@@EmilyEnvisioned i don't know, my theory is that Mike smith or jeremy don't really exist, they are just a characters created to make the player relive the lore through the gameplay. Otherwise it kinda doesn't make sense that Michael is in all the pizzarias
@@poppysplant4511 I'm pretty sure it's technically confirmed to be the same person the logbook shows that Schmitt knows about sister location.

Withered chica's voice in UCN also makes her character scarier imo
Oh wow I just looked it up
Easily my favourite game in the series. Nostalgia hits me hard whenever I think of the time era of Oct-Dec of 2014 along with January of 2015. FNaF 2 will always be special to me.
yep. those are the same exact months/dates fnaf 2 takes me back to as well 😭
I didnt know they were called 2.0 or miss foxy wow i really missed the fnaf 2 hype train
god i remember this shit from when i was an edgy 14 year old, this honestly feels like a blast from the past
I’m 19 and still watching fnaf vids like these and lore vids are pretty terrifying with the combination of the creepy animatronics and the uncanny background noises. I refuse to watch these vids at night while alone 🤣
oh man I 100% agree about withered chica being one of the scariest characters. She is one of the ONLY animatronics that actually scare me just based on appearance alone, even years after the games release.
ngl, i’m obsessed with this series already-
"And so began the MaNgLe'S gEnDeR debate, dear god."
Dear god indeed.
"And here we begin the "Mangle's gender" debate.
...dear god"
I knew to look in the comment section as soon as I got to that part
honestly who cares let's all decide Mangle has no gender and refer to them using any pronouns
@@jabby6709 isn’t someone with a feminine appearance a girl? That’s how it’s portrayed in today’s society anyways...
@@youtubesucks8340 ehhh not exactly, anyone can have a feminine appearance

I don’t know how this video gave me more nostalgia than replaying the game. Thanks for all the good memories
I think Withered Chica is the scariest animatronic in the series. Really scary looking, but not over the top and trying too hard like the Nightmares. There's just something really creepy about abandoned and decaying animatronics. I could see something like that actually happening to a real one and that makes her even scarier. LOVE her.
I love how you switched between Mangles Pronouns
Not just me who noticed that
Sucks that there is a bunch of transphobic people in the comments that are getting mad over someone calling plastic Chuck E.

11:24 funny, the bird becomes the scarecrow
I always love seeing these types of vids and reminiscing over past times. Like imagine telling someone in 2014 that purple people puking up robot spaghetti is canon.
The thumbnail gives me so much nostalgia. Back when there were only 2 games and the lore was not as complicated as nowadays.
The fact you alternated the pronouns between he and she when you talked about Mangle's mechanics is such a nice touch
This is my favorite game in the franchise, thanks for doing an amazing video on it!
For me the 3rd game was best in terms of atmosphere and story, should've ended there.
I guess this is my experience all through the franchise developments
I remember when the first game can out and people were always asking about It,always trying to get people to play it.

The fnaf 2 ambience is so good for no reason.

This is going to be a epic series
Neat, I just subbed last Sunday after watching the first video
Definitely my favorite fnaf game. I remember when this came out and elementary me was obsessed with the game, crazy how time flies
Excited to see what comes next!
i used to be fucking TERRIFIED of the puppet that whenever id watch a gameplay and i heard the music box, i couldnt get myself to look at the screen. i absolutely HATED the puppet and its minigame jumpscare; but even though thats the character im most scared of, springtrap is actually the only character ive literally *hallucinated* to the point of me cowering to the floor lmao
