For me, it genuinely packed such an emotional punch. Most mini-games before followed the formula of "perfectly innocent until dark twist / reveal at the end". In this one however, not only did we know from the beginning that something isn't right, we also knew _exactly_ how it would end, as our job was to save a familiar child in a familiar situation from a death that we *knew* hadn't been prevented. It's such a helpless feeling. In a way, we get a taste of how Henry felt after he lost his daughter. We know he created the puppet specifically to protect his daughter; as such, the puppet's point of view in this minigame could be correspondent to Henry's own point of view. Notice how we weren't shown _how_ the daughter was killed, nor by whom. Because at this point in time, it was still a complete mystery to Henry. He was grief-stricken, and there was no explanation for a tragedy he took so many measures against. (To this day, we still don't know who put the box over the Puppets lid, whether delaying its rescue mission was premeditated or not, and how Charlie even got herself locked outside in the first place) Regardless, I personally thought the exclusion of the murderer (and his technique) was brilliant, as it places a greater emphasis on the tragedy itself, rather than the perpetrator. It is pure grief captured in an 8-bit mini-game. I know a lot of people criticized this cutscene for not revealing new information (how we already knew that the crying child in the alleyway _was_ the puppet and whatnot), but I don't think that was the point. What I'm about to say is probably controversial, but in my opinion, this game's remastering of the "Take Cake to the Children" mini-game from FNAF 2 is far more superior. On a surface-level, it's the same exact scene, reveals the exact same information, but on a emotional level, this one has subtlety and sentimental depth. On a side note, I'm willing to bet Henry intentionally programmed the puppet's "characteristics" to be similar to his own daughter's. That's why it hugged her at the end, to comfort her in her dying moments. It's reminiscent of "carrying others into your arms", which is exactly how Henry describes the Puppet/ his daughter in the final scene.

Of all the FNAF games, this one worked the hardest to be great. The gameplay is tense and terrifying, the tycoon element was is fun and entertaining, the mini games are great, and the sheer amount of endings and secrets makes it feel very rich, an element that was lacking from all the previous installments

the way you said 'peanut head lookin ass' about Scraptrap made me laugh harder than it should have. Its like whenever I see a roasting session about someone's big head online lmao
The fact that remnant is basically human souls, and is what goes into the animatronics, puts Fnaf AR in a whole new prospective. In AR you put remnant into the animatronics, which is probably how they got in there.
I think the Freddy plushie teasers were a VERY clever way of teasing Lefty (iirc, when you brightened up the image, you could see puppet strings holding it up!)

Yeah but then you gotta think about the fact that This is his livelyhood now. I’m sure he has an end in mind, but I think he’s at least waiting to see the response with the new AAA game and movie to see where he’ll take it
There's also some popular fan theories that you forgot to mention in this video: •The most accepted answer to who are the Gravestones in the lorekepper ending is that these are the gravestones of the Missing Children Incident victims, because the gravestones practically perfectly lines up with the classic animatronics heads at the end of FNaF 3. And with that we might know what the children's names are and which animatronics each child possesses: Gabriel = Freddy Fritz = Foxy Susie = Chica Jeremy = Bonnie •Speaking of the lorekepper ending people also think that the gravestone in the back is Henry's daughter gravestone and most people think that the name written in that gravestone is "Charlotte" since that was Henry's daughter name in The Silver Eyes Trilogy •This is more of a minor theory, but still, people think that the girl on the Fruity Maze minigames is Susie, since the girl that appears the minigame is very similar to how Susie is described in The Fouth Closet •Midnight motorist is speculated to happen a little after the Security Puppet minigame, since in the files for the midnight motorist minigame there's the title "later that night" and the other minigame in FNaF 6 that happens at night is the Security Puppet minigame •[Spoilers for the Fouth Closet] There's also a theory called "Molten MCI" that says the Funtimes have remmant of the Missing Children Incident victims, because in the The Fourth Closet Willam injects the MCI victims remmant in the Funtimes (also the Freddy Files and the Candy Cadet stories implies that). If that's the case then the Happiest Day minigame has to happen at least after FNaF 6 since the souls couldn't be free because still parts of their souls would still be trapped in Molten Freddy and Scrap Baby, also in Dawko's interview with Scott, Dawko asks Scott what which FNaF 3 ending is canon, and he said that most people might not like the answer and that "It's complicated", meaning that Happiest Day could have been retconned to happen after FNaF 6
its strange how time works for human minds, like for me my mother is stuck at 32, and my grandma is stuck at her 60s (despite being 80), and then when i actually think about it its like, "oh no thats wrong". anf then i think about games and movies whose release i saw, and then you actually think about it and "oh wow this released years ago"
That is the one thing I loved about this game. The salvage parts. You are inches away from death. Its sitting right there, looking right at you. Its just playing dead, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Not moving, only slightly once you look away. The dread filing you...its sheer terror.
I do like how the “Cassette man” (Henry) does still have a slight amount of humor/campiness to him, it’d make sense, after years of probably trying to stay as far away from Freddy’s as possible, he’s back, he may get a bit of strange and weird nostalgia to be back

ITS NOT A FANGAME??? so a while ago i watched mark playing thought it as i was in quarantine (cause as a huge fan of fnaf i finally wanted to see all of the game and not only the lore) and finally knew the entire game.
Fnaf 1,2,3 and 4 was era 1. Sister location,fnaf world,fnaf 6 and ultimate custom night is era 2. Help wanted,special delivery,freddy in space 2 and security breach will be era 3
you might be aware of this by now from a comment or something but the freddy plush teaser was actually relevant. i think at first when it was uploaded nothing was on it, but after a few more updated versions of the same image, when you brightened it up, there were four or so strings behind it. strings...bear... it was a teaser for the puppet being inside lefty lol
I think the reason why the cutscenes have that certain feel is all in the colors and details. The flat, one-note colors and textures give it the corporate feel, while the detail in the drawings themselves give it personality. Also, the hidden area from Midnight Motorist's theme is a jam
Here’s the entire thing btw Connection terminated. (Screen fades into view) I'm sorry to interupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name, but I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You're not here to recieve a gift, nor have you been called here by the individual you assume, although you have indeed been called. (FNAF 6 map appears) You have all been called here, into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune. A labirynth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped. (Middle room from map disappears) Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. I love that this game was free What I didn't love was how f--ing scary it was inside the office and the shift time Edit: I do love how scary the office is, its more I have to be stuck in there while I don't know when I'm going to be jumpscared
The fnaf 2 location being JR's kinda makes sense, in one of the phone calls in fnaf 2 we hear phone guy say something about "a preivous employee not being allowed back" which makes alot of sense in the midnight motorist minigame.
Ik this comment is two years old but I’ve noticed there’s a odd correlation between the salvage sections in fnaf 6 and the third act of ddlc, idk, just oddly similar in SOME ways.
Been loving these FNAF retrospectives, can’t wait for UCN, though it’s bittersweet to think we’re so close to the end. Bravo on the sheer amount of work you’ve put into these videos, they really lay out pretty much everything in a concise, easy-to-follow manner (concise might be the wrong word to use, since these videos have gotten to 40 minutes long, but I was engaged the whole way through). Keep up the good work man
Bruh you didn't even mention the jumpscare sound. In my opinion the jumpscare sound in this game is one of the scariest in the series if not the scariest, just this echoing scream of pure horror that sounds like it's coming not from the animatronic this time but from its victim.
Every time I hear Henry say “the deepest darkest pit of hell has opened up for you, old friend. So don’t keep the devil waiting.” I tear up. HOW DOES A FNAF GAME MAKE ME CRY?
i rlly always enjoy these videos. hearing someone talk abt fnaf always boosts my mood cause it’s one of my favorite things & it’s kinda crazy to imagine far in the future one day i might see a video titled “five nights at freddys: security breach: a retrospective” i’m happy fnaf is still alive and well in 2021
Several moments throughout this video i've gone down to like it knowing I already have... genuinely excellent video, maybe my favorite to date because of the work put into the intro..
There was a jumpscare, a little before 32:50...idk if it was intentional but it happened so for anyone sensitive to those or watching at night, that's the closest i got to it, someone else can check, if y'all want
It’s my personal headcanon that this is the actual ending, ucn is a way of tying up loose ends and showing us what happened to William Afton in the end. Anything after that point I will still enjoy, but refuse to acknowledge as canon.
@@rebeccacummings6697 all FNAF games on mobile cost the same. Some less than on PC and some more. That's because it takes third party programmers to emulate the game for the phone. Not for profit.
While Fnaf 6 is great, I was kinda disappointed how we never got to hear any more lines from Michael. Apart from SL, we never knew much about this guy, other than he's William Afton's son, and that he's possibly FoxyBro from Fnaf 4. I would've love to see some mini-cutscenes where Michael often talks to himself or even reminisces about the events of Fnaf 4 to SL.
Pizzaria Simulator has a special place in my heart, i remenber that one of my favourite youtubers Huestation was doing lives with his friends to speculate on teasers, and when the game released he did a live on it, and when Baby appeared i got so shocked and happy.
4:23 This teaser of the Freddy plush was relevant to FNAF 6. When you brightened up the picture you can see 4 strings attached to it. This possibly hinting at there being 4 animatronics hunting you down or alternatively a teaser aimed towards Lefty
The Freddy Plush teasers teased Lefty. It was Freddy with strings behind him when you brightened the image up. Also, the Survival Logbook released after FFPS.
The ending for Pizza Sim is by far one of the best endings in any horror game it's cheesy as hell but just all of the different pieces coming together is so satisfying with a fire that no one not even springtrap this time, could escape from edit: welp
The Freddy plush teaser isn't that remarkable, but when you brighten it you see strings attached. This is meant to symbolize Lefty: a Freddy variant housing the Puppet.
33:12 it's actually Henry's house. In the Twisted Ones towards the end, once Charlie and John escape from the underground pizzeria, she mentions that this house they are in is in fact her dad's (Henry) Edit: 35:20 from the help of the new Fazbear Frights books, I and a few others have deducted that this is a giant Minireena. The reason being the 3rd book series "1:35 A.M", in the second book titled "Room For One More" a night guard gets visited my Minireena dolls and then doses off on his job, while in his sleep he experiences horrific nightmares of the funtime animatronics, to which he has never encountered. Each time he has a nightmare, a minireena crawls inside his mouth and stuffs themselves in his body. The last nightmare he has is of Ballora in a nurse outfit preparing tools for an operation a doctor will commit, while he is strapped to a table. The doctor moves in and it is revealed to be a giant version of the Minireena dolls he kept on seeing.
The books aren't at all canon to the games. It's not Henry's house. Fazbear's Frights, while being made to help solve the lore, only do so with metaphors. Not actual events. Though it still is likely to be a giant Minireena, simply because of the facial structure. Literally nothing else hints towards it, though.
@@SaitoSite the books are canon and not Canon at the same time as the events were altered in order to fit a retelling. The fazbear frights books were mentioned by Scott that some are and aren't actually canon. So some events may actually happen. I say it's a giant Minireena, cause the mask in Night 4 of SL does feature a lot of similarities of a minireena doll, it isn't Scrap Baby cause the eye holes are different and the mouth is lower, can't be Funtime Chica, cause 1, we don't know if Funtime Chica can remove her beak, but it's most likely that she can't, and 2 the eye holes. The description from the book is too similar to not be this character.
pizzeria simulator was the first fnaf game i've tried to play. played it for the lore and tycoon mode but could barely get past nights 1 and 2 without shaking.
Another banger to add to the list. The rewatch value of your videos is insane! Can’t wait to see more of your creativity expressed on the retrospectives of the books!
I'm gonna be honest I really like The scraptrap design, it's just not as good as springtrap. My main problems with it is that certain aspects such as the teeth don't make sense considering it's the same suit as springbonnie and he looks too short
@@Miunim If that theory is true, then Afton burned in fazbears frights while trapped inside a deadly spring trap suit then proceeded to get out of said spring trap suit and get into a more withered and altered version of the spring bonne suit ?
Would definitely like to see a video on Help Wanted. Particularly as it ended up having quite a bit to it, more than just being a VR recreation of the older games. It may not be very old, but... eh honestly that doesnt really matter. Besides, it might be helpful in reminding players of what has happened with that story so far, in the build-up to Security Breach. Not to mention the players that never got to play it... it WAS a VR exclusive for a long while, and I'm betting a lot of people missed out because of that. So a video covering it might be useful to them too. Anyway, just a thought.
I agree completely. I was a little disappointed at how quickly he dismissed Help Wanted and AR/Special Delivery as not having relevant lore. We don't know a lot about Security Breach yet, but given what we do know, it seems likely that all three are somewhat related. Maybe he'll consider talking about them, either separately or combined, once Security Breach has been out long enough to warrant a retrospective.
Whoever wrote the whole “But for one of you, the pit of Hell has opened up to swallow you whole. So don’t keep the Devil waiting, old friend” needs a bonus
Best line in the entire series is in this game’s opening infomercial for Fazbear Entertainment: _“This concludes the amount of help we are legally obligated to provide.”_ Gets me every time.
This fnaf 6/pizzeria simulator was supposed to represent the end of the franchise but I guess it just closes the door on the first chapter and moves on to the next one both for the players and for the characters in the games like Henry, Michael, William, Charlie, Elizabeth, and the lost souls William killed are all finished off in the fire, but it’s like he said…. William always comes back,which he proves in help wanted and security breach
Idk why but this one is slowly becoming my favorite of all of them. Fnaf 2 is fantastic but this one is free and has so much heart poured into it. The atmosphere is fantastic and I love that it’s all about sound. It’s like fnaf 4 on steroids.
This game will forever be my favorite FNaF game. The overall ambience and feeling of closure adds a lot of tension during gameplay. Like Sagan said, the “happy” tycoon part of the game still has a lot of underlying horror. You know what’s coming and that feeling of dread is just, overpowering. Not to mention, Henry Emily is such an interesting character. He has a sense of heroism and I feel like listening to the cassette tapes just fills the player with a sense of vengeance. This game really drives the overall point of the story home. So many lives were ruined because of one person. One person who caused a tragic butterfly effect filled with suffering and isolation. The music in this game is absolutely amazing, too. The secret car mini-game in Midnight Motorist has what I think is one of the best soundtracks in the franchise, Smashing Windshields. The fruit minigames’ transition from innocence to dread as you see the child’s face slowly evolve from happiness to uneasiness is something I don’t think I’ll be able to forget. And honestly, I think Helpy is becoming a pretty iconic character to the games as well. This game, in my opinion, perfectly balances occasional comedy with fear and I really applaud Scott for that. If you’ve read up to this point, thank you, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for these games!
I really sincerely miss the feeling I had when I beat this game on my own time, free from spoilers and no clue what was ahead and discovering all the secrets. And the feeling of Shock and Awe at the true ending brought me to tears... this game was an absolutely amazing “finale” to the original series of games made exclusively by Scott and remains my favorite out of the main 6
Pizzeria Simulator is my favourite of the six "classic" FNaF titles made by Scott on his own. It is certainly the one i enjoyed playing the most, seeing as i spent thrice the amount of time on it compared to the others. It just feels so... complete. The juxtaposition between the cheery, funny simulator bits to the cold tension of the office and salvage segments is superb. Old enemies returning for their final bout (in terms of being actually themselves and not a fictional recreation like in AR and Help Wanted) is just cool in general. It also happens to be the only game in the series that i have yet to beat, not because it is more difficult than the others, but rather because having more than one animatronic active in the office segment simply inspires a dread in me that's worse than in the other games.
I think the best part about the corporate art is how expressive it is. Making the kids look so fucking stupid and innocent while the conveying the smug, intellect of the Fazbear Entertainment employees.
The mode where we fend of the animatronics and do tasks isnt the night mode, the salvage part is. We fend of the animatronics during the day while the customers eat, the vents are secluded from the restourant so the people are in no danger
You forgot one possible theory for the gravestones. That Fritz is a different person, one of the original children killed by Afton, with the reason the guard in 2 has the same name being that every guard in the series is just Michael using a different alias of the original victims, trying to undo what has been done.
These have all been fantastic to watch. I really appreciate how thoughtful and well-researched you are with all of these! And your enthusiasm really shines through, especially with your intros of escalating complexity ;) I'm VERY excited about your suggestion of a retrospective on the books-- no one ever talks about them! I love them to bits, and I think they're all really fascinating. Obviously you couldn't analyze them the same way as a game, but literary analysis is still fun to watch and discuss! I think the books really made the series events feel more grounded and real-- like, these are REAL LOSSES that the surrounding community FEELS, this was a REAL COMPANY with a COMPLICATED HISTORY, and despite being in a different timeline with slightly different character line-ups, you still SEE how it shakes both the Afton and Emily families. Charlie Emily's a really compelling protagonist too, so that makes up for the absence of Michael Afton, in some regards. But WHATEVER you do, I'll be happy to see it! The important thing is that you do what *you* wanna do, and you can't go wrong there. Thank you for all the hard work you've put in so far!
Just wanna mention that you are correct that the colors change on a per game basis. Scott said in a interview with Dawko that before every game he chose a color based on each game and created a theme around it. Green for Fnaf 3 (horror attraction) purples and blues for sister location (sci fi) and orange and red for pizza simulator (fire).
God every time you post one of these the quality just gets better and better. It’s really cool to see someone else handle this series so respectfully and well. I really really love these games and it’s super clear you do too. Love you so much Sagan keep this up
so i was watching this while pooping and im not sure why but that jumpscare at the beginning got me good so i guess u could say it scared the shit outta me

It would be nice to have a refiring of that kindling since we're waiting on security breach right anyway, but maybe you could present everything we know about hard facts and timeline bits from the series, and a presentation of events/pieces where we aren't sure when or what happened. No way lmao, nice

The helpy breaking his fucking back part actually killed me
@Helpy holy shit

There's also some popular fan theories that you forgot to mention in this video:
•The most accepted answer to who are the Gravestones in the lorekepper ending is that these are the gravestones of the Missing Children Incident victims, because the gravestones practically perfectly lines up with the classic animatronics heads at the end of FNaF 3. And with that we might know what the children's names are and which animatronics each child possesses:
Gabriel = Freddy
Fritz = Foxy
Susie = Chica
Jeremy = Bonnie
•Speaking of the lorekepper ending people also think that the gravestone in the back is Henry's daughter gravestone and most people think that the name written in that gravestone is "Charlotte" since that was Henry's daughter name in The Silver Eyes Trilogy
•This is more of a minor theory, but still, people think that the girl on the Fruity Maze minigames is Susie, since the girl that appears the minigame is very similar to how Susie is described in The Fouth Closet
•Midnight motorist is speculated to happen a little after the Security Puppet minigame, since in the files for the midnight motorist minigame there's the title "later that night" and the other minigame in FNaF 6 that happens at night is the Security Puppet minigame
•[Spoilers for the Fouth Closet] There's also a theory called "Molten MCI" that says the Funtimes have remmant of the Missing Children Incident victims, because in the The Fourth Closet Willam injects the MCI victims remmant in the Funtimes (also the Freddy Files and the Candy Cadet stories implies that).

The Freddy Plush teasers teased Lefty. It was Freddy with strings behind him when you brightened the image up. Also, the Survival Logbook released after FFPS.

The Freddy plush teaser isn't that remarkable, but when you brighten it you see strings attached. This is meant to symbolize Lefty: a Freddy variant housing the Puppet.
33:12 it's actually Henry's house. In the Twisted Ones towards the end, once Charlie and John escape from the underground pizzeria, she mentions that this house they are in is in fact her dad's (Henry)
Edit: 35:20 from the help of the new Fazbear Frights books, I and a few others have deducted that this is a giant Minireena.

Idk why but this one is slowly becoming my favorite of all of them. Fnaf 2 is fantastic but this one is free and has so much heart poured into it. The atmosphere is fantastic and I love that it’s all about sound. It’s like fnaf 4 on steroids.
It’s happening, I’m excited
That Fritz is a different person, one of the original children killed by Afton, with the reason the guard in 2 has the same name being that every guard in the series is just Michael using a different alias of the original victims, trying to undo what has been done.
i love how the biggest source of comedy in this game is helpy breaking his ducking back
These have all been fantastic to watch. I really appreciate how thoughtful and well-researched you are with all of these! And your enthusiasm really shines through, especially with your intros of escalating complexity ;)
I'm VERY excited about your suggestion of a retrospective on the books-- no one ever talks about them!
Hehe, i always love it when people validate the idea that the puppet is the most powerful character. That’s one of the reasons she’s my fave
Just wanna mention that you are correct that the colors change on a per game basis. Scott said in a interview with Dawko that before every game he chose a color based on each game and created a theme around it. Green for Fnaf 3 (horror attraction) purples and blues for sister location (sci fi) and orange and red for pizza simulator (fire).
fun game: take a shot whenever he says “we’ll get to that later”
finished bingeing the retrospective series just in time for this to drop and I couldn't be more pleased
God every time you post one of these the quality just gets better and better. It’s really cool to see someone else handle this series so respectfully and well. I really really love these games and it’s super clear you do too. Love you so much Sagan keep this up
the quality of your content just gets higher by the video it's insane!

I deadass though that somewhere there was a woman who doomed 5 kids
I swear your the only reason I'm still in the fnaf community good video btw!
Hey man! An idea that I've had for a while and now want to give to you: how about a video on forming our own theories? It would be nice to have a refiring of that kindling since we're waiting on security breach right anyway, but maybe you could present everything we know about hard facts and timeline bits from the series, and a presentation of events/pieces where we aren't sure when or what happened. Plus, it would be really great to hear everyone responses because we may just be able to piece together something we hadn't before.
