I think the reason Henry is my favorite character is because he really does show up, drop a baller speech, kill everyone and then himself, and never elaborates. And if you do the research you slowly realize this man has Issues and this is less of a heros triumph and more of a mildly antagonistic character successfully making everything about him. Truly, a twist for the ages.

No gore needed, just the imagery and implications of a little crying girl being lured by a stranger wearing a friendly face. Maybe the end of night cutscenes could've shown how each animatronic became who they are now. Night one could show a green eye being dropped by an amalgam of wires, and said wires would then have to traverse an underground system to find the mask.
Night two could be a brown bunny. At first, the objective is to get outside of a building, but the character becomes slower and slower over time. Then, when they do make it out, the objective becomes to find a new costume, which leads into the character finding what they have now.
Back to the green eye, they have to travel through the familar setpeices of sister location to put the peices together. (Kinda like mangle's quest.)
Finally, you play as a black bear. You explore a large, open area until you find the puppet. Simple.

My biggest critique of Pizza Sim has to do with Henry’s speech. On one hand, it’s amazing and I’m glad it’s there, on the other hand it’s not earned for Henry to say it because before FFPS he was a noncharacter. He was a guy from the books with no prior appearance let alone mention in any of the games, and being shoehorned in out of nowhere to deliver the speech, taking away Michael’s spotlight (the guy who actually earned that speech), sucked. Which is why I think Michael should’ve always been the one to say that speech. Sure, it would’ve required that part of it be rewritten, but it would’ve made way more sense than Henry saying it.

I think why people enjoy Pizzeria Simulator so much is not for the story the game provided, rather the story the fandom concluded on. Basically people like Matpat and Dawko took the story and the books and made it make sense, filling in a lot of the plot holes and making things work. This was taken as cannon. Tldr: People like the fandom interpretation of FNAF 6 rather than the story itself.

It's a constant trend. The series does things and gives hints, clues towards what's going on, but if someone says something and it gets repeated to someone else, somewhere along the line the theories people make get taken as fact. Many of the fanon interpretations of the game, the ones most people believe to be undeniable and proven, have little to no basis. We still don't know who was involved in the Bite of '87 (unless you accept that it was retconned entirely for 4). We have never had proof Michael posed as the games' guards - one book of debatably canon status says he saw them at some point, but not when he did. There's never really been anything more than speculated correlation as to what souls are in what body, in particular the crying child, who despite people usually assigning him to Golden Freddy has never had any hints of that. Larger channels, particularly Game Theory, can write what's basically a fanfic and people will spread it as fact.

Explain what happened to Ennard (outside of source code), reintroduce the Puppet after its two game long absence, and give Henry a proper game introduction instead of having him crash the plot last second. It feels like it was meant to have a whole set of other games in the franchise where that stuff would've happened in their backgrounds or perhaps the forefront of a couple of them. The nights of FFPS are pretty scalable, you could put plenty of animatronics in those vents if you give the time to make them varied, but it's so empty. Ennard was even split into two just to fill more space, to give more to worry about and put in the salvage sections. There was meant to be more, but I think Scott got tired of it before there was, so he wrapped it up there.

I think the main reason that FFPS’s ending is remembered so fondly is that it confirmed a lot of information that was just speculation up until that point. The plot of 6 games had essentially been a patchwork of guesswork, so to have so much stated outright is really cathartic, even if the ending itself hadn’t added anything new. People just wanted a single crumb of fact
Also that point you make about the games becoming adverts for the books is so interesting, especially given everything with the Mimic this year. A free DLC whose ending relies entirely on, not just one book, but a few stories spread throughout a whole series of books, including one (the epilogues) which requires reading every single entry to enjoy fully. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

    • @higueraft571

I suspect "Mimic" is a similar situation to Henry.
There's a VERY similar character who fils the same role in the books, yet their Timeline is radically different.
Tales' Mimic seems to have been put there after FNAF 6, while Ruin seems to hint towards Mimic being present there *before* FNAF 6?
      Also Tiger Rock/Glitchtrap.
You dont get the Backstory without reading the books, but this may be a case of "do they even HAVE similar backstories?", and it may just be all the important info is just in the games :V

Once all animatronics merge into Ennard, Elizabeth's soul becomes whole again. That's what Michael means by saying ,,I put her back together, she's free now". When Ennard escapes and rejects Baby from their body, Elizabeth's soul starts possesing Baby. And that's why she didn't have control over Baby in SL, but suddenly does in FFPS: her soul was split apart, but after all animatronics become one, her soul becomes whole and regains consciousness.

I really enjoyed the simulator section of the game and think it could easily be turned into a tycoon game.
Imagine if you will, you have the ability to start your own pizzeria, starting with a small dinner then eventually leveling up to a pizzaplex of your own. You can gain access to every animatronic throughout the entire franchise, including the books. Each one will have their own entertainment or hazzard value that will affect your progress. You can perform maintenance on them to raise their moral, which raises their entertainment value, but fail to maintain them or shock them and that will decrease their moral raising their liability. You can even have different custom skins for like holidays, special events, or as a bonus for doing a good job. You can even have lore tid-bits for each animatronic you collect, which can add to their story and personality. To add some extra difficulty, you can have characters like Afton or Vanny sneak into your pizzeria, and they can ruin your business if you don't stop them in time.

The speech's delivery is very atmospheric when combined with the music and the imagery shown during it. The leadup with Baby also helps it. But it has very little long-term buildup in the game or larger franchise, misses several loose ends (Golden Freddy, or the shadows, or the company of Fazbear Entertainment continuing to be criminal enough to allow this stuff), and just sort of claims a bunch of stuff that doesn't stand up to any real scrutiny.
It's like the first game showed. Scott knows how to make a good atmosphere, but not a good story. He's a game dev, not a writer.

I think I've said it before, but I feel having a Molten Foxy instead Molten Freddy would've been better. For one, we already have a Freddy in the form of Lefty, and for another, if Michael is the older brother from FNAF 4 (and we are playing as Michael in Pizza Sim), it would be fitting for him to be facing off against a Foxy at the end, considering a Foxy mask is what he used to torment his little brother all the way up to that deadly birthday party. It'd be as if he's staring at his past self, in a way: the monster he was amongst the ranks of his monster of a father and the monster his sister was twisted into (plus one of his father's victims).
I also feel it should've been Michael giving a speech at the end, rather than introducing Henry out of nowhere (to the many players who haven't read the books) just to have him killed off just as quickly. Would tie thinks up a bit neater, if you ask me.

In my opinion, Pizzeria Simulator was the true Jumping the Shark moment for the FNAF franchise in retrospect. While I said that Sister location was the one that got that shark poised for its jump, it was this game that let that shark off his leash, and let it go barreling to the sun without restraint where it got cooked well over done (wow, weird metaphor :P). And thus, resulting in some of the issues we have with the current FNAF story.
Namely needing to read the books to understand vital bits of the story. While this sorta started with Sister Location and introducing William Afton as the Purple Man proper, at least PM was a character in the games prior. So transferring Willy from the books to the games was relatively smooth. But with no build-up for them in the games, the introduction of Henry and Charlie (with the latter being the Puppet) comes so far out of left field, that you'd think it came from a completely different field altogether. Especially with all the hinting of the Crying Child being our favorite prize giver. That would have been way better, especially with Sister Location teasing the idea of poor little CC being an Afton.
And Henry certainly should not have given the big speech at the end. Sister Location set up Michael gunning for his father for whatever reason, so him being in charge of the pizzeria and setting it up as a trap for his father, his sister, and his father's creation so they can all burn together as a family (especially if the Puppet was his crying baby brother and Molten Freddy housed the soul of Ms. Afton). It would have been a far better conclusion than randomly shoving in a book character from nowhere, revealing his daughter was the Puppet, and then having him give the big speech was so....unfulfilling in hindsight even if old Henny's speech was cool. Though again, Michael should have been giving it.
And it's all this book tie-in shit that, IMO, lead to the issues with the Mimic and needing to read the Tales from the Pizzaplex book to understand just who in the flying Faz-Fuck our main villain of the Steel Wool era is (which has not helped my opinion of the Mimic, let me tell you) as well as some backstory for one of our main characters (*caught* Gregory *caught*).
Also. Since I brought them up, the issues related to the Puppet and who it originally was also sparked some issues with an identity crisis in some characters. As with all the hinting prior, I do subscribe to the idea of the CC being the Puppet. it would have made total sense and tied all the games together. Especially with, as I mentioned earlier, the hints in Sister Location with the hidden videos showing the FNAF 4 house. But the change to Charlie just to tie into the books (where she doesn't even become the Puppet) feels like they forced another character's backstory onto an unrelated character, just to give another unrelated character who we've never seen before a stake in the final confrontation at the end.
This, BTW, is what I believe led to Gregory basically becoming Vanny 2.0. I'll save my ranting on that for another video, but I strongly feel as though the idea of Vanessa's backstory was transplanted onto Greg solely to give him some kind of connection to Vanessa. A connection that was poorly communicated (show of hands: who thought Patient 46 was Vanny? *Raises hand*) and needed a book to clarify. As well as us never actually seeing the events that lead to old Glitchy possessing him.
And I totally agree with the issue surrounding Scrap Baby. It's so jarring she went from her own baddy to being Willy's right-hand man with zero explanation. Even with the source code hints, there's no logical reason why she would be working for him. And they could have easily explained in, as you said, either an in-between night mini-game or an arcade game you can play. The same thing goes with why old Peepaw looks so different from 3. Just having mini-games showing Will fixing himself up, or him finding Baby and taking her under his wing would have gone a long way. But I guess we can't have that.
Also. I think they should have given the other kids (Fritz, Jeremy, Gabriel, and whoever the fuck is Golden Freddy) their own mini-games showing how Afton lured them in so he could kill them. Really a wasted opportunity if you ask me. The same thing goes with, as you said, the Puppet getting trapped in Lefty. That would have been awesome to see!
Overall, Pizzeria Simulator was just a more disappointing version of FNAF 3. The only thing it did, at least to me, was set the stage for introducing the need to read supplementary material to understand the story of the game. It is responsible for a lot of issues that the current FNAF has and was not a fitting conclusion to the original six games.
Though it does make me yearn for an actual Freddy's 's-themed pizzeria tycoon game, so that's at least one point in its favor. :)
PS: I think Molten Freddy should have been like some three-headed chimera with the voices of Funtime Freddy, Funtime Foxy, and Ballora switching who's speaking. Would have made it extra creepy. Plus, we didn't need two bear characters. :/
EDIT (7/27/2024): Okay. In regards to what I said about the whole Gregory is GGY and Mimic thing, I've changed my mind about the two. I think Gregory as being a ex-follower of Glitchtrap is a great idea, and I've grown to love the Mimic. Have these been handled well? No, I will admit to that. However, that doesn't stop me from liking them nevertheless.
Also, I've flipped on my opinion about Scrap Baby becoming William's minion. I think that, on it's own, the idea isn't bad. However, I do think that they could have fleshed it out a little. Like adding in a in-between night mini-game showing us how she reassembled herself, and lamenting on how she should have listened to her father, as well as William swooping in to take her under his wing again. I think that would have been great.
    But that's just me.
However, most of what I said still stands. And after listening to you audio again, I think that indeed, Pizzeria Simulator was rushed. It would explain why the game seemingly came out of nowhere. I think this is a game that could have used a longer development time.
Also, I do agree that they could have been a little bit more blunt with whether or not we're playing as Michael. They could have given him some dialogue, you know. Doubly so since they brought his VA in to voice William, so there was no excuse.

      >So transferring Willy from the books to the games was relatively smooth.
Actually, another comment added too, not ONLY did he as a sort of "actor" exist already in the plot, him, Elizabeth, and Michael got introduced and connected pretty smoothly too.
William introduces himself in the intro lines, Baby talks about how she died, you hear a girl talking to her father, asking why she cant go near it, you SEE what happened play out, realize Baby IS Afton's daughter, and Michael's Speech drops his name and his relation to Afton.
You dont have his first name til FNAF 6 or the books, but you know of at least 3 members of his family out of the 4 total, and it's fairly straightforward to piece together from just the games.
Henry meanwhile has SOME relation of sorts to William and the MCI, and The Puppet is his daughter (fun fact, Charlie is never named ingame, so technically even today she's STILL unnamed like CC is...)

    • @HeyLoiss
      @HeyLoiss 11 місяців тому +1

Crying Child being the Puppet would NOT have been better.
Charlie is perfect. She's the protagonist of the novels, meaning that the Puppet essentially gained 3 books worth of character writing in one plot twist, whereas CC is more of a plot device than a character, if we're being honest.
It also explains why the Puppet has life-giving powers with beautiful symbolism: she's Henry's daughter, the daughter of an artistic genius who created iconic mascots that were so charismatic and memorable, beloved by many children much like Mickey Mouse and Tom & Jerry, that he essentially metaphorically gave these mascots life. His daughter did it literally, she reanimated these machines by making the vengeful spirits inhabit them. As the Puppet is supposed to, she gave gifts to children. As Henry's daughter, she gave the mascots of Freddy's life.
CC being the Puppet would also feel like a massive retcon because so many things in FNAF 2 & 3 would immediately stop making sense. Why is the Puppet kid murdered by the Purple Guy outside the pizzeria if the Crying Child got crushed in Freddy's jaws? Why is there a Birthday party for a sad Golden Kid (FNAF WORLD refers to CC as sad, btw) in HappiestDay if this is supposed to be the Puppet Crying Child's plotline?
It doesn't make any sense at all.
CC being Golden Freddy makes so much sense. It explains Yellow Bear's It's Me, it *beautifully* explains HappiestDay and makes it even more emotional than before, since although Charlie & the Missing Children needed Purple Guy's complete death to move on, the Crying Child needed a birthday party. And in HappiestDay, the Missing Kids and Charlie give him that gift.
It also ties in with how CC's best friend was a Fredbear plush and he died after being crushed by Fredbear's jaws. It also explains why Golden Freddy is so much different than the other core 4- he isn't posessed by just one spirit (Cassidy/Andrew), but by the Crying Child, too.

Exactly my point. CC cannot be locked out and become the puppet if he died in fredbear's mouth, in an entirely different scenario.
They would be two *separate* characters, which they are.
CC being the Puppet has only really been a strong idea because he has a black shirt with two lighter colored stripes, and he cries. Alongside roughly the "These are my friends" thing.
Even though we know for a fact now that CC and Charlie die in different ways, and are associated with Fredbear and Puppet respectively.
Though, hilariously, we STILL dont have any game canon names for both of them. Charlie is drawn from the books, with a decent hint ingame (grave name being the same length as "Charlotte", her full legal name, and looking similar)

About the "end of night minigame" topic, I think Scott should have made it so that after each main day (Monday - Friday) you get the following minigames that try to explain some of the main characters of FNAF 6:
    - After day 1, you get a minigame that shows Ennard hopping about until suddenly a piece of him detaches from him and crawls away. He then collapses into a pile of wires and you then have to rebuild him which results in him becoming Molten Freddy.
    - After day 2, you get a minigame where you see Afton escaping the fire in Fazbear's Fright (for those who missed the secret in FNAF 3's post night 6 screen) and maybe you can even see him become Scraptrap.
    - After day 3, you play a minigame as the piece of Ennard that detached from him and you have to collect some leftover pieces of Circus Baby to turn it into Scrap Baby.
    - After day 4, you see a minigame where the Puppet gets lured into an alleyway by a shadowy bear character that then turns out to be Lefty who then consumes the Puppet and traps her inside of him.
    - And finally after day 5, you get a cutscene that shows where the Missing Children ended up.

All the animatronics used to stand out. The puppet had its own unique mechanism and lore relevance in fnaf 2 and even 3, and in fnaf 2 it was built up as the biggest threat. Baby is intelligent and manipulative and the first animatronic to talk to the player, and a new interesting villain. Ennard had an awesome and really creepy design, and the idea of animatronics being intelligent and ruthless because of their treatment was a great motivation that deviated from 'haunted and angry'. Springtrap was very cunning and to me he was the perfect balance between machine, human and wild animal, enough of each to make him dangerous and uncanny. Not to mention the twist that he was the mysterious purple man. They were so memorable, which makes their indistinct behaviour in ffps more disappointing.
And I agree with the point that Henry added nothing, if anything the other characters were watered down, butchered or sidelined to build him up more. I love how none of them interrupt Henry's speech. A lot of people here talk about how fnaf misses the mark on 'show, don't tell' but I think the series is in desperate need of the 'kill your darlings' rule too.

    WARNING: Long comment.
I’ve been thinking about all of the games individually (as in, you are someone who has NEVER read the books or watched a theory video), and Pizza Sim falls on it’s face when Henry starts speaking. We know who he is because we read the books, but if you’re a newbie, you won’t know anything.
Compare that with the introduction of the Aftons, (who were also added in the books and you wouldn’t know who they were unless you read them), they were actually introduced into the games really nicely. You hear a British man talking to people who ask him about the animatronics. That tells us he built them. His name is revealed as Mr. Afton.
Then you get Circus Baby who talks about a little girl she killed, and if you’re a completionest, you would see who that girl is and probably do the alternate ending where you would hear a little girl with a British accent speak. That tells you that she may have a connection with Mr. Afton, since they’re the only British accented people so far.
Then if you manage to beat the custom nights, you hear another man with a younger accented voice that is ALSO British, and since he calls someone father, we can assume that the only other man he is talking to is Mr. Afton who is also British and has a connection to the animatronics since he was told to put one back together. THEN (since Michael has introduced himself) he talks about putting ‘her’ back together, and the only female character we have actively helped is Baby when we take her chip out. And since we have found out that Baby killed a little girl with a British accent, then we can safely assume that Michael is talking about the little girl. We don’t know her name or Mr. Afton’s first name, but we know they share their accents, so they are related in someway.
With that information, when you go to Pizza Sim, you see the character you know and their voices. Funtime Freddy’s voice, Baby’s voice, and (since he still isn’t referred to by his first name in the games) Mr. Afton. Lefty is the only odd one out, but new characters are introduced all the time so you keep him in mind out of curiosity, especially since all he does is shush us when he kills us, but his hushing is more feminine, which can catch some people’s attention.
Then all of a sudden we hear Henry. Someone we wouldn’t know and would never know anything about unless we read the books. And when you put it in consideration that this is sort of the last game (at the time), all of a sudden you’ve got this character that you don’t know at all. He speaks as though he knows us, but he doesn’t have an accent we are familiar with. You could think he’s simply this game’s phone guy, but then you may get the insanity ending and suddenly be like ‘wait what?!’ Because he says that he ‘created’ these monsters (while blueprints of some of the animatronics appear), which contradicts what we thought we knew from Sister Location since Mr. Afton knew and designed (as implied) those particular ones that were shown, excluding Lefty.
And what’s even wilder is that all of the animatronics (bar Lefty) talk as though they know you. Baby says that you aren’t who she expected to see. She also says it feels like home. We know she is possessed, so this must be the little girl talking, right? Funtime Freddy claims that we’re together again, along with being one big happy family. When we see the blueprints, we can see that he is what was left of Ennard, so something happened to make Baby spit away, but both know who we are, and the only one that we know has interacted with them is Michael. Then Mr. Afton says that we may not recognise him, but that he is still himself, once again indicating that he knows us.
Which is why when this stranger says that Mr. Afton is an old friend (he says so when he appears on the screen so we know who he’s talking about), calls Baby Elizabeth, and he refers to the puppet as his daughter, all of a sudden it throws this wrench into what you thought you knew. Who’s this guy? He was never mentioned before! Is he part of the family? Is he just a friend? Why is he here? And we never see or hear from Henry again, so you will never know who he is unless you read the books or watch a theory video.
This is a very long comment, and it may be all over the place, but it’s been something that’s been bothering me for a while. While I love his speech, I am on the team of ‘it should have been Michael’ purely because he was a previously establish character that knew everyone inside the building (bar Lefty).

Actually, Afton gets his full name dropped in 6 i believe. Although it may JUST be in the credits? But i remember it being a bit more clear elsewhere
And yeah, it gets even more comical when you look at it PURELY on a UCN and Earlier sort of range, it becomes more clear that Henry was a complete moron as well as being out of left field, as confirmed by Burntrap existing later on, or just UCN even happening :V

It honestly kinda sucked that we never got the Endless Tycoon Mode. Like UCN is cool and brought back most animatronics (though many more could've been added like Withered Freddy), but looks extremely tough. An endless tycoon just feels a lot more fun to play and allows more items and animatronics to buy.

THANK YOU! You have no idea how weird it felt for the longest time seeing everyone regard the game as the best ending for Fnaf or even in media in general (no idea why some go that far, but eh) and then when I checked myself I was not able to understand a single thing the first time.
I was like: "Huh? Who's Henry? Why is it so important he make that speech? L.E.F.T.E? Wait, He is the Puppet? WHAT? The Puppet is a girl named Charlie? Who's she? She's Henry's daughter? Since when??? The SAVE HIM minigame is now important?"
And then having to see people sharing the books and kind of just take for granted all these changes which made things even more confusing since before people said it was just like an alternate history of the game or something but then kinda saying: "You have to guess which parts are relevant to the main game story and which ones are just irrelevant" It was such a headache at the time it made me drop the franchise entirely (and maybe even be a more critical of it tbh)
Honestly, I agreed with you on your SL video, if you had to blame any game for the shift in Fnaf's tone of the story, It was Pizzeria Simulator because with SL you could at least understand what happened.

I feel like Afton should've had a larger presence in the game.
The design and characterization is disappointing and it feels like he barely has a presence in the game.
I understand that William being deceived into entering Henry’s maze isn’t impossible to explain with his current characterization, but the way Scraptrap was handled in FFPS was pretty bad. His design was a downgrade from FNaF 3 and he was difficult to distinguish from the other antagonists. He’s the big bad of the series but Baby, a character who was only introduced in the previous game, had more of a presence. He entered the maze knowing it was a trap but was too tempted to resist. I’m guessing Scott was trying to characterize William as being too bloodthirsty to be rational, but William just came off more as stupid than irrational.
I'd be more forgiving if it was William who delivered the monologue instead of Baby.
Like I could just imagine it. William spouting about how he knew this was all a trap and he knows by who. Imagine this as Scraptrap's intro instead of stupidly saying "I knew it was a trap but I'm here anyway". “Tell me, my dear old friend. Did you think I wouldn’t know it was you? I’m coming for you, the children and you, my son.” and make a comment about Michael "the prodigal son has returned" and how fitting he gets to repay Michael for the FF fire. All the children and all the remnant just begging to be harvested. "I cannot die. I am eternal and I always come back. Come Elizabeth, let us start by ending your dear brother's misery." "I will make you proud, daddy" and then cut to Henry's speech.

How dare you disrespect Lefty, it's a great design! No but really, just make the Puppet visable and it is a great design. It counterbalances the plain design and the colours really complement.
My pfp is a costume I made for Halloween, which is a Lefty hoodie I made to wear over my older Puppet costume. Being able to see the stripes and mask really adds to it without making it overbearing. In fact they fit together like an ensemble.

    I always loved the epic monologue at the end, given by Henry. However, this video actually made me realise how much I felt Pizzeria Simulator was a bunch of good ideas, that got completely under-utilised, as well as the fact that it was indeed confusing, and fairly disappointing. Internally, I know that I always thought this, but I constantly ignored it because, everyone loved the game for the ending, and I guess I was just "peer-pressured" into liking it, if you get what I mean. Overall, this video was amazing. Great execution, quite entertaining, most of your points and views were perfectly logical and I agree with basically all of them, and it did a great job at being a fair, not purposely negatively biased (Like a Sister Location video that I have seen.), review/retrospective. Well done! :}

I came back to change my serious post-- I need a team, an elite team, to help me fix this game.
    Ideas-
    •Endless tycoon mode
•Salvage section has a random% chance of extra spooky screens that you MUST look away from to spice it up
•Molten Freddy gets a minigame to explain what the heck is going on in that party
•Lizzy gets one too because she is an icon
•Midnight Motorist lore part gets completely revamped because I don't wanna think about it-- replace with another minigame^
•But not the game itself, it stays the same because it is a bop. In fact-
•Tycoon mode= endless arcade mode, no lore in your minigames, just ownership gaming priveleges
•BE ABLE SEE THE SCRAPS DOWN THE ****ING VENTS my gosh you don't even have to change the **** mechanics that much
•Take the RNG based mechanics and shove them up your..... Just make it to where each animatronic gets a slightly unique function instead of tile warping my gosh.
•William hates ads and will be super attracted to during one//Molten Freddy loves it hot so keep it cool//Lizzy loves the spotlight be careful with keeping it on her-
Lefty is super aggressive all the time and will kill you dead BUT Puppet peaks out and is in control ~65-40% of the time on a timer or a wind up system (depending on night like the old music box mechanic)
Puppet blocks the path on one side for that period of time, but the music makes William more likely from the opposite direction
OR you can use Puppet as an audio lure for the time it is in control
•Add Lolbit to ads to even out difficulty and deter ad opt ins
•Make the tasks a little more engaging for fun and for jumpscare factor- distraction is the key to a good jump
•Alter dialogue lines to be a bit more... I don't know what word to use but they need tweaked. Mike is the intended audience, no ambiguity, period. No more 'inplied'
•Take this time to make Willy a tried and true villain and gloat in his disappointment of Mike. Make Mike suffer because we love him.
•Also iron out the exact relationship between Willy and Lizzy. I like the Nparent and Goldenchild dynamic.
•Tweak the insanity ending to make Henry a tad less of an ahole. Seriously, my dude just down to lobotomized anyone that looked in the wrong corner.
•Give Mike an epic speech in one of the endings and Henry in another, same beats but different points of view. Insanity ending gives Henry's monologue and Lorekeeper ending gives Micheal one or vice versa.
Of course this would include some retouched Scraps... Other than Baby. Lizzy is actually peak character design.
Willy Neutron needs a makeover. The Puppet just needs to be visible in Lefty. Molten Freddy needs to be less spaghetti an more lava frothing out the mouth. Also make him BIG, HUGE.

Really wish we got some sort of game between this and Sister location. Having lore only in source code and requiring fans to read a book series set in a alternate canon to understand what is going on really lessens the impact.
Also having Henry come in THIS LATE into the series raises serious questions of what he was foing this whole time. I like RyeToast's theory that Henry was the one convicted for the missing children's incident, but that's only just a theory based on a single newspaper clipping (back in fnaf 1) saying someone got convicted for the crime and probably not even remotely canon. But that's kind of all I have to go with because the alternative is probably Henry doing seemingly nothing for the whole series

@@ringtail2925 making big 3D games is just really hard and expensive, for example if they have 50 employees working on it and each employee costs $100,000 a year between pay, benefits, taxes, equipment, etc that's 5 million dollars every year the game is in production. The studio doesn't own FNAF so they probably don't get any money from books, movies, and merch that isn't tied to their games and there are other costs involved too like licensing, Steam fees, advertising, taxes, etc.

Mainly because of the tasks being literal button presses and the fact you don't get to see the animatronics until they kill you. The way I could see the office segment being fixed is by changing how you deal with the threats or making the tasks longer and more complicated. For me Michael should have been the one who made lefty and did the speech in the end, which makes more sense than an unexpected book character (in my opinion)

I love FNaF 6. You are able to make it not a horror game if you want- of course it isn't perfect, no game is, but it's still my favorite. I just wish you could play that beginning segment again, even if it was just a mini-game you could buy.

26:12 small correction. there's an amount of implication, this is mike we're playing as. mainly in the animatronics kill speeches.
Scrap Baby-You're not who I expected to see. (Mainly because Liz was probably expecting Henry, or not Her Brother that she didn't allowed to die 30 years prior.)
WIlliam-Bittersweet...But Fitting (why would William Afton of all people would consider killing someone in his way as "Bittersweet"? Maybe cuz that's his son. which wile i doubt he really cares for,As the movie shows maybe William does have some glimpse of sympathy for his kids.)
Molten Freddy-TOGETHER AGAIN!! (This is probably the most damning. The only characters that Molten Freddy has any interactin with for it to be "together" is Baby and Michael...Scrap Baby exists so...)

Looking back, I think the reason Pizza Sim's story, or well, ending is held in such high regard, could be that a lot of people who played it and praised it weren't deep into the lore, or were caught up in the "ending-ness" of it all. Now if you try to look at it with lore in mind, and try to make sense of it, that's where the issues start to rise up. I wonder if the feeling of it being rushed also effected the minigames. Fruity Maze and Security Puppet are both simple, but then there's Midnight Motorist which just, explains nothing and randomly has an Orange guy, who everybody has dubbed as being William because nobody else makes sense. But why would the purple guy be orange now? A part of me wants to hypothesize that this sudden Orange Guy is meant to be Henry, but nothing seems to line up there, in his behavior, family unit. I mean if the books are needed reading maybe the "him" referred to in the minigame could actually be Sammy. And his singular, unseen appearance in the games at all.
Pizza Sim, when dug into, is quite an odd game, huh.

Orange Guy according to the Canon 5 Nights At Freddy's Daycare shift simulator is a Joke Character called Dave. Dave is William Afton from an "alternate universe" (aka in real life), while Purple Guy is the William Afton we have always been following.

      Honestly, how i read it:
FNAF 6 was praised as a "Perfect" ending and that nothing exists after UCN because it had a sort of Finality to the cutscene, or at least Intended Finality.
AND, they didnt want to admit that Help Wanted onward exists. They didnt want Burntrap or Gltichtrap to exist, because that means it's NOT the end, Henry failed.

I think I've watched this video over 5 times now and I wholeheartedly agree with it. I'm not saying the game is bad but I am saying the office segments were so boring I genuinely considered not finishing it. All the characters feel like downgrades from their previous versions, the Tycoon sections are good but lacking, Scrap Baby's personality has done a complete 180, Scraptrap seems more like an incompetent fool trying to look edgy than an actual threat, Lefty is story-wise unnecessary and could've easily been replaced with a Scrap Puppet which I'm sure would look way better, Henry's speech is badass but completely unearned, main characters are sidelined for ones we've never heard about before, and the Salvage sections... Ok I'll admit those are pretty good.
And overall it's my least favorite game in the entire franchise and I'm happy it wasn't the end. It isn't objectively the worst, but it is the one I had the least fun with while playing. It isn't bad, but it sure as hell isn't that good. And yes, I am VERY salty I've been holding a grudge against this game for a while now.
Anyways, I loved this retrospective and all the points you brought up!! If you ever made a video analyzing a different FNaF game I'd 100% percent watch it 5 times too.

So glad this video is out. Personally the only thing I enjoyed about Pizzeria Sim is the Tycoon aspect. Not to say that the game itself is bad, not at all. But the lore and the retcons and Baby and…. Yeah. It was a mouthful that didn’t bought my approval

Its just so funny seeing you be the biggest Henry hater, like omg ITS TOTALLY DESERVED but its still just extremely funny because it felt like you were finally allowed to set the dumpster on fire

Molten Freddys design makes sense to me. To get rid of Baby you’d have to get rid of all parts of her. That includes the wires. Maybe because if there’s any metal of her left her remnant or souls would remain. But to get rid of her wires Ennard would have to untangle itself then spit her out before trying to heap its wires back together. But it likely wouldn’t be able to pulls itself all together tightly so it’s now a shambling mess.

    (28:20)
With the whole “Save him”, it would’ve made more sense if it was Sammy Emily instead.
It would’ve been neato if in both continuities, Aubergine Man killed Sammy, and like in your Twisted Ones rewrite, he possessed The Puppet. That would’ve fixed it.

What I LOATHE most about this game is Midnight Motorist. It is, by far, the worst minigame of the franchize. It introduces a bunch of concepts that were totally new to the franchize and connected to nothing and, to this day, the theorists all quarrel over its meaning.

honestly I truly wish the series ended at fnaf 3 it truly gives you a satisfying ending but on the other hand pizzeria sim gameplay is ok and tho the speech was great it feels more incomplete than fnaf 3s ending more empty if you will but hey im just going on a stupid rant here lmao

FNAF 6 and the pizza sim shouldve been two games. The pizza sim couldve come first and it couldve given us all the missing pieces we dont have through minigames and stuff, then fnaf 6 couldve been an improved version of the night segments.
