Yep. An after dark clean with me was the very first episode of yours that came on after Cambria’s video. I had been watching her for a few hours while cleaning my house, and then your video came on. Not sure which one it was though. 😊
I'm a night owl so when the kids are in bed is when I get more cleaning done. It's so peaceful and satisfying to go to bed knowing we'll wake up to a clean space. Your rug is gorgeous but for some reason everytime you lay the blanket down to show where the coffee table is going it cracks me up 😂
It's good to hear mommas say they want to enjoy their families. Slowing your mind and taking time to enjoy every moment is such good advice. The time truly is flying by. I enjoyed every moment of my kids growing up. And while I miss them being little sometimes, it so rewarding to see them as adults. How they love each other. And my son is a father now. So often when my children were little I felt like I was reacting to everything...I often wish that I had slowed down more and enjoyed the craziness of life. Now I try to encourage my grandchildren to enjoy the moments with the greats.
Your message about how we show love within the family....definitely needed that! Resentment is a nasty thing yet it's so easy to allow it into my thoughts. Thank you for your cleaning motivation but for me today, your kind words reminding me to appreciate everything my husband does for me and my family. Your house is looking great BTW :)
Your philosophy on doing cleaning at night so you can spend more time with your family was really eye-opening to me! I do so much of my cleaning during the day, like my whole Saturday. Thinking about redistributing my weekend cleaning throughout the weeknights (since I have a 9-5), and then keeping my weekends more free. I love that even people who don't have kids can learn so much from you. 🥰
I use to live with my sister when I was a teenager, she could never keep her house clean during the day (her kids were bad😅) She would clean at night, I told her that I was going to start bringing my friends over at night, it was always spotless at night😅

Amanda, I completely understand the feeling and importance of slowing down and enjoying life. I turned 40 this year and I'm now realizing the importance of "Being Still" and being in the present. It is so important and it helps especially when you suffer from anxiety.
We have Safaviah rugs in every room of our 2 bedroom condo...and we got them on Overstock about 8 years ago and they're still going strong. They clean so easily and stay new looking for such a long time. Love your new rug. It sure makes your living room look cozy ❤💚💜💙💛
I needed this video so badly today. Today was a hard mom day. 8 month old triplets are the greatest blessing, but can be so hard sometimes. Thank you for the reminder to find joy in our daily tasks and to remember that these moments are fleeting. I’m going to get out of my bubble bath and go clean the house now that the kids are finally asleep.
I think the coffee table might make the room a little cluttered and small feeling. It feels pretty open the way it is now. My personal opinion is that end tables on the side of the couches would look better 🤗
I agree it would look cluttered, mainly because of the two blue cushions in front of the chairs . I think it should either be cushions for chairs or the coffee table. The cushions to me are too stark , they are big and seem to be the first thing you see not the beautiful rug and couches 🙂 sorry I know it’s just my personal taste, not trying to be rude 🙂
Agree! The space looks so great right now and I think adding something right in the middle is going to clutter it up. Plus with kids...more space for them to dance, play, etc in the living room without the coffee table.
Always remember that all the cleaning and caring that you do everyday will never be forgotten by your family. Being a homemaker is something to be proud of and I like that you take so much pride in that!
What a good message for young mommas! I wish I had heard this years ago when my babies were little, I have two almost 40 yr olds and one almost twenty year old granddaughter and yes they are still my babies😂. I spent most of my time cleaning and organizing my home, my life and them. Spend as much time with your kiddos as possible, as you said “you will never regret it”❤️❤️❤️❤️

I always found joy in watching my grandmother and mom wash dishes. I was thinking I can't wait til I'm old enough to do them myself so at large family gatherings or on the holidays I always said I would wash the dishes, then someone rinsed them and then we had about 4 people drying dishes. I find it so therapeutic and soothing to wash them myself and rinse them.

It’s overwhelming when I’ve been working full-time since 1981 and I have arthritis in my hands, back, knees and I still have to do chores when I get off work and I’m in pain. Hubby just had knee replacement in May and I know he can do more around the house at this point. Long story short, serious resentment has set in. I see a housekeeper and gardener in our very near future. Thank you💝

The part that you mention to slow down and enjoy the moments literally made me tear up. I'm 40..my oldest is 23, 2nd oldest 20 and my youngest is 10yrs old. My two oldest are moved out already. But I'm just enjoying my son sooo much because before you know it he is grown and moved out. I do early am cleaning before my 10 yr old gets up and late night cleaning after he goes to bed. So I can just enjoy him completely throughout the day. 💕💕

I definitely needed to be reminded that we show our love to our families through the everyday chores and maintaining a clean house. So many times I get frustrated when I feel as if I’m the only one who cleans but then I have to remember like you said that my husband takes on other responsibilities that I don’t. I’m a night cleaner all the way! It’s relaxing, quiet, there’s no on in the way to work around and like you mentioned, i never regret spending time with my wife and our dogs during the day. Plus for me, cleaning is calming, so it’s a really great way for me to come down after a long or stressful day.
I finally ordered an E-cloth Microfiber Glass Scrubbing Cloth & Polishing Cloth. I thought no way is this going to clean my giant bathroom mirror and not leave a streak with just water. I was amazed! I got the scrubbing cloth wet and washed the mirror down and then went back with the polishing cloth and my mirror has never been so clean and no streaks! You have made me a huge fan of E-cloth. Now I have to start buying a few along so that I can slowly replace all my old microfiber with the E-cloths! Thank you for letting me know about these! I've bought several things you have recommended and I'm happy with them all so far.
I’ve really been trying to slow down, enjoy & think about “why” I’m doing this. Everything I’ve gotten to enjoy this year being home instead of working outside the home. How much happier I am… it’s a privilege!! I too love going to bed with a tidy home, so waking up isn’t as difficult. I love the new living room rug & agree decorating for any season or holiday will be easy. Can’t wait to see the pantry!

My son struggles with adhd and odd ( oppositional defiance disorder ) and sometimes i dont value my time with him enough because its spent redirecting constantly or him screaming and intentionally trying to mental and emotionally hurt us. I always properly clean at night. During the day its always hectic around the house especially when I have kids under the age of 3. So I end up getting worn out. And your so right about spending more time with family and slowing down. I used to be such a clean freak because of what I’ve gone through in the past, but I came to realize it’s not good for me health wise and I was adding more stress to myself. It came a time where my skin was loosing its glow and I was just looking more like a house maid. But GOD always tells you the best thing to do and I listened to HIS voice. And by doing this, I’m teaching my children how to love in so many different ways. My family is everything and I bless GOD for them. For me, cleaning at night is just me time to really reflect on what went on during the day and just meditating too.

There are so many times that I get resentful that I end of doing the majority of the homemaking while working a full time job as well. But my husband takes care of so many outside farm duties, car repairs, etc that I don't like to do (especially in this summer heat) while also working full time. Where our chores are different, they are both ways we show love to each other and our family ❤️
You’re so right, Amanda. Time passes too quickly. I still have a hard time grasping that my boys are 24 and 20 years old now. It seems like just yesterday I was tucking them in bed and enjoying all those special “mommy” moments with my babies . Hold on to those boys as tightly as you can because they grow up SO fast. ❤️

Depending on how my day is going like if I have appointments that take up most of my day and if I have some house cleaning I will definitely try to take care of it before I go to bed because it is peaceful. Thank you for that pep talk because I live with my Brother-in- law and I had been feeling frustrated a lot lately. He has Cancer and I know God put me here for a reason. Hello Amanda, you just said a deep truth about hand washing dishes. When I was living on my own before getting married, I used to hand wash all my dishes despite having a dish washer at the house! I did that for 4 years. Of course in my current life I could not hand wash all the dishes. But I do occasionally hand wash a couple pots and other things that don't fit in the dishwasher. Love to you!

Love your channel. It was a big wake up call for me when my Mum got sick with covid. Only then did I realise just how important it is to be a home maker in a house. Your channel has taught me a lot of home truths about this job. 1) How important it is, wether others notice or not. 2) Don't waste your hours resenting it. Enjoy your time and be satisfied with a great piece of work. 3) Its an important way to love and serve others. 4) You can still be creative with it and it can be a pleasure. You've really helped me change and now my Mum is better we work together.
I could not have said it better myself. My son was 22 when he died suddenly from a brain bleed. I will always have the memories. That is what gets me thru it. We grew up together. He was a great guy. I see in my patients how they can’t wait for the kids to grow up. Enjoy life and family, that is what matters in the end. You have such a lovely family and home. God bless.

The part where we need to slow down..it touched me..I have 2 boys and my oldest is 16 and my youngest 10..the noise will subside and go away and it will be quiet🥺.. we do need to slow down and enjoy them as much as we can..they grow so fast. Putting the electronics down..feed our soul with good conversation with sincere thoughts and laughter. 💕💕
I always enjoy your uplifting messages. Definitely pulls me out of a funk some days. I love to do my cleaning at night but it hardly happens anymore because I’m so tired at the end of the day. I have three daughters and 3 days out of the week I have 6 girls in my home 🥵 cleaning up after them through the day is enough for me. But I love waking up in the morning to a clean house.

The part that you mention to slow down and enjoy the moments literally made me tear up. I'm 40..my oldest is 23, 2nd oldest 20 and my youngest is 10yrs old. My two oldest are moved out already. But I'm just enjoying my son sooo much because before you know it he is grown and moved out. I do early am cleaning before my 10 yr old gets up and late night cleaning after he goes to bed. So I can just enjoy him completely throughout the day. 💕💕

I definitely needed to be reminded that we show our love to our families through the everyday chores and maintaining a clean house. So many times I get frustrated when I feel as if I’m the only one who cleans but then I have to remember like you said that my husband takes on other responsibilities that I don’t. I’m a night cleaner all the way! It’s relaxing, quiet, there’s no on in the way to work around and like you mentioned, i never regret spending time with my wife and our dogs during the day. Plus for me, cleaning is calming, so it’s a really great way for me to come down after a long or stressful day.

I finally ordered an E-cloth Microfiber Glass Scrubbing Cloth & Polishing Cloth. I thought no way is this going to clean my giant bathroom mirror and not leave a streak with just water. I was amazed! I got the scrubbing cloth wet and washed the mirror down and then went back with the polishing cloth and my mirror has never been so clean and no streaks! You have made me a huge fan of E-cloth. Now I have to start buying a few along so that I can slowly replace all my old microfiber with the E-cloths! Thank you for letting me know about these! I've bought several things you have recommended and I'm happy with them all so far.
Adding a coffee table to the living room would make the room seem small. How about end tables instead?
I’ve really been trying to slow down, enjoy & think about “why” I’m doing this. Everything I’ve gotten to enjoy this year being home instead of working outside the home. How much happier I am… it’s a privilege!! I too love going to bed with a tidy home, so waking up isn’t as difficult. I love the new living room rug & agree decorating for any season or holiday will be easy. Can’t wait to see the pantry!

My son struggles with adhd and odd ( oppositional defiance disorder ) and sometimes i dont value my time with him enough because its spent redirecting constantly or him screaming and intentionally trying to mental and emotionally hurt us. I always properly clean at night. During the day its always hectic around the house especially when I have kids under the age of 3. So I end up getting worn out. And your so right about spending more time with family and slowing down. I used to be such a clean freak because of what I’ve gone through in the past, but I came to realize it’s not good for me health wise and I was adding more stress to myself. It came a time where my skin was loosing its glow and I was just looking more like a house maid. But GOD always tells you the best thing to do and I listened to HIS voice. And by doing this, I’m teaching my children how to love in so many different ways. My family is everything and I bless GOD for them. For me, cleaning at night is just me time to really reflect on what went on during the day and just meditating too.

There are so many times that I get resentful that I end of doing the majority of the homemaking while working a full time job as well. But my husband takes care of so many outside farm duties, car repairs, etc that I don't like to do (especially in this summer heat) while also working full time. Where our chores are different, they are both ways we show love to each other and our family ❤️

You’re so right, Amanda. Time passes too quickly. I still have a hard time grasping that my boys are 24 and 20 years old now. It seems like just yesterday I was tucking them in bed and enjoying all those special “mommy” moments with my babies . Hold on to those boys as tightly as you can because they grow up SO fast. ❤️

Good evening Mrs. Paige it gets dark around 8:30-9:00pm here In Michigan. Yes I agree that spending time with the children is key. Depending on how my day is going like if I have appointments that take up most of my day and if I have some house cleaning I will definitely try to take care of it before I go to bed because it is peaceful. Thank you for that pep talk because I live with my Brother-in- law and I had been feeling frustrated a lot lately. He has Cancer and I know God put me here for a reason. Hello Amanda, you just said a deep truth about hand washing dishes. When I was living on my own before getting married, I used to hand wash all my dishes despite having a dish washer at the house! I did that for 4 years. Of course in my current life I could not hand wash all the dishes. But I do occasionally hand wash a couple pots and other things that don't fit in the dishwasher. Love to you!

Love your channel. It was a big wake up call for me when my Mum got sick with covid. Only then did I realise just how important it is to be a home maker in a house. Your channel has taught me a lot of home truths about this job.
1) How important it is, wether others notice or not.
2) Don't waste your hours resenting it. Enjoy your time and be satisfied with a great piece of work.
3) Its an important way to love and serve others.
4) You can still be creative with it and it can be a pleasure.

I could not have said it better myself. My son was 22 when he died suddenly from a brain bleed. I will always have the memories. That is what gets me thru it. We grew up together. He was a great guy. The part where we need to slow down..it touched me..I have 2 boys and my oldest is 16 and my youngest 10..the noise will subside and go away and it will be quiet🥺.. we do need to slow down and enjoy them as much as we can..they grow so fast. Putting the electronics down..feed our soul with good conversation with sincere thoughts and laughter. 💕💕
I do love cleaning during the day but I do love going through my home and make sure everything is tidy up at night.
