i went from the 13 mini to the 14 Plus. and all i can say is.. Beautiful screen & incredible battery life. its a beast for sure. anyone who is upgrading from an 11 or older don't hesitate to get this phone
With all due respect, a product can't be a scam if it delivers all of the features that it says it will deliver, even if it's $100,000 more expensive than the competition. It would just be a bad deal. "Scam" and "a bad deal" are completely different things.
I agree with you. Minimal upgrade from previous generation: yes. Scam: no. Its still an inprovement over older generation just that the price is a little too high for its minimal upgrade.

I had an iPhone 11pro and wanted to upgrade to a bigger screen. I ended up buying the 14 Plus mainly because in the UK at the moment there are no 14 Pro max phones in stock anywhere and the waiting list is over 4 weeks. The 13 max are also sold out unless you go for a refurbished.
Okay my big bother got this IPhone 14 Plus, a lot cheaper than my 14 Pro Max he has no problem with he 512gb version he got light purple one. No problem runs faster then his iPhone 7 Plus. He upgraded from 7 plus to 14 Plus 512gb. He loves it❤🎉

In Europe, the pricing difference is even worse. The 14 Plus is 1149 Euro while you can get a 13 Pro Max in excellent condition for less than 900 Euro - my 512 GB model in mint condition was 1000 Euro! The 14 Plus will probably sell much better in the US.
It’s not a scam… it’s just not great value. If you want to keep the phone for the longest time possible, the 14 Plus is the one to get. That being said, I’d be choosing the 13 Pro (or Pro Max). Amazing phone!

I recently bought the 14 plus. The problem was that I would have to pay 700 Canadian dollars as down payment for a 14Pro and also I had to wait for two months for it. 13promax is an amazing deal but simply it is not available for financing. You gotta pay the full price as cash for a refurbished 13promax which makes no sense to me.
spot on, the 8 was virtually identical to the 7 as well (okay, newer processor and wireless charging but that’s it) but I still had an 8+ for years and I loved it. I don’t think the 14 being similar to the 13 is an issue, vote with your wallet, buy it if you like it, don’t if you don’t.
Could you please compare the antennas and call quality on 13 and 14? I’ve seen some reviews of 14(regular and pro) that show it has significantly better download speeds and also better call quality.

This is such a tricky phone cause I’ve for what ever reason been getting better reception out of my 14 Plus over the 13 Pro Max. The only problem I have with the phone is the pricing. $929 is a bit steep. But idek man. The 14 Series is such a weird one.
It's totally a scam. It's selling significantly less than the 13 mini so basically, the 14 plus was the biggest flop in Apple's history after Pipin. I hope Tim comes to his senses and brings back the mini in the next iPhone 15.

watching on my 14 plus…! love it so far. so t use the over the top camera features so dont need pro models. the camera om this is still quite good though plus the big screen, battery and lighy weight is the perfect combo for me. gor carpal tunnel using the brick phones before so this is just right
At the moment contracts in the U.K. are so similar price wise between 14 Pro Max and 14 Plus. I think it will sell more in a few months time when start to do deals that they don’t tend to do on the Pro Max.

I think it depends on what device ur upgrading from on my pov I upgraded from a XR and it is a massive upgrade but if you have a 11-13 I don’t recommend upgrading but knock ur self out if you want

Lol no that’s not true. It has much better front and back cameras, it has 6 gigs of ram, it has an extra GPU core. An easier to repair design, a bigger battery. And a few other features that make it a much more refined and improved phone.

Not sure how it’s a scam. I’ve got the iPhone 14 plus and I went for it because of the colour. The red looks amazing and the Pro lineup is very conservative with regards to colours. The 14 plus is also just fun to use. My partner has a 14 pro max and it’s heavy and just not as fun to use in my opinion.
If you r smart enough you would buy this phone most of the features updated on 14 pro max aint that of use maybe if you r a videographer or photographer the main thing we seek on phone is good camera and battery life if its long and for long term iPhone 14 plus is more better. Since this phone launched late and the 14 pro models and regular 14 launched on time with its hype, the 14 plus was easily forgotten. If it launched alongside the 14 models then it would probably do okay but the 14 Pro Max would’ve outsold the 14 plus
This phone is amazing and beautiful! I got the 14 plus in white and it’s battery life is ridiculous! I go two days without charging it and I use it throughout the day. I upgraded from a 7+, to returning a refurbished pro max 11 (that came with a broken ear speaker) , to this brand new beauty and hopefully she will last me a long time. I think she just might.
I have no idea why the video is titled as scam. Sure iphone is overpriced but scamming means cheating in a way. That’s a bad choice of word in my opinion.
If I had a 12 or 13 iPhone, there is no way I’d upgrade -it’s not worth it. However, I currently have a 10 and the spec bump will be fine for what I’m paying. Battery size, nits, camera all upgrades for me but if you have a 12 or 13, wait for the next model because there’s not enough in 14 to make it worth it for you.
I think the 14 plus will sell better than the mini because of the larger screen although here in the UK it’s £949 which in my opinion is steep and as you say for a 60Hz screen that is bad for the price you pay for, but on the flip side there would be many people so don’t care for that sort of thing and just want to get the job done.
Why med range phones get want you paid for and got a Samsung A52s 5g and still going strong 120hrz snapdragon 778G chips 2 things I look for now in a phone 120hrz and a soild chipset

That's what I think: in your country it costs 899$ but here in Ukraine or in any other country you will get a bigger price of that because of taxes and retailers who want to eat food so in Ukraine it costs 1256$ and for this price or even less like the price of a simple iPhone 14 I would definitely choose any android phones for a less prices and better specs like 120 hz refresh, higher brightness and with a normal usb c instead of a dead lightning. In conclusion an act of Apple's hypocrisy about their "no charger for the ecology" seems pretty funny in fact that they have admitted a few years ago about their downgrades in iOS updates to slow the battery life on an olds iPhones as we can see it with a new iOS 16. So apple just doing money on a stupid people. That's a fact. That's why all of not Pro iPhones are scam. They would not be a scam if they would have been not overpriced.
Apple in itself is a scam... who holds AOD hostage? That's the easiest thing to put on their whole lineup, not to mention 120hz.... like why only allow pro max to have AOD and 120 aside from the fact to hide it had no selling points aside from the "dynamic island" and 48mp otherwise. So they have to lower quality of their other phones to try and make pro max "worth the value"
Not everyone wants ProRes, AOD, heavier phone, fancy camera system. Many regular folks just wants a large phone with good battery life. There’s no point in spending money on features you don’t want. Even 13PM … worse battery life and heavier .
I'm surprised to hear the iPhone 14 plus is doing worse in sales than the iPhone 13 mini. I get the month delay would have contributed, but I do see this will likely mean future iPhones will come in 3 models - regular, pro and pro max.
The main reason why it didn’t sell good was the price anytime a phone starts at $900 bucks there in flagship major specs category if it was $699 it would’ve done well I can hint say it would have been apple best seller because most people don’t want a pro heavy phone with a lot of features there not even going to use are know how to use like myself ima point n shoot kinda guy and the Dynamic Island means nothing to me and the 120 refresh rate doesn’t move the needle either apple lower the price

Me and my girlfriend each ordered the 14 Plus because the Pro Max was on back order from our carrier.. and these reviews are justifying our decision to go with the $200 savings we’re getting with the Plus. There just simply aren’t enough desirable qualities of the Pro Max that would make enough of a difference to pay that much more. We’re upgrading from the 11 Pro Max, so getting the lighter phone, bigger display size, and better battery life is already so much more appealing. Why pay $200 more when all those qualities are already there with the 14 Plus 🤔 I’m getting mine in product red as well, and I’ve never had a red phone (always preferred the black.) The red was never appealing enough for me to actually choose it over black, but now it’s much more vibrant and will be great. I also ordered the product red silicone case from Apple. 👍
AGREED. Also upgrading from an 11 pro max and I don’t even really like the new features of the 14 pro max . The dynamic island bugs me lol. 14 plus is the best all around and I’ll just use the extra $200 for more storage if anything

Anyone that says get the 13 pro Max instead is directly telling people how to spend their money and thinks their opinion is plug and play for everyone. I have the 14 Plus coming from a 13 Pro and did strictly for screen size and weight. I wanted the bigger screen without adding additional weight. Having the 13 Pro before I knew I didn’t use the zoom that much. I do notice the 60hz vs. 120hz difference but that’s not a deal breaker. The battery is UNREAL and another reason I wanted bigger but not heavier. Let people choose what they want and keep it moving. Telling someone what phone they should get based on the features they may or may not use is pointless and entirely depends on their personal use case.

I got my wife who was an android user the 14 plus. The main selling point for me, is exactly as he says, the cheapest iPhone with the best battery life.
The only considering factor for me about the 14 pro max is the pro motion 120hz for gaming but I'll justify it has you can't play longer sessions on 90fps or 120fps as it will heat up and won't give stable performance after that. So I'll get the 14 plus

the iphone 14 plus is so lackluster that it is surprising if they are surprised about its sales. it's almost as if they nerfed the 14 plus intentionally so people would cough up the extra cash for the pro max while giving them the illusion that they're a great company by offering a big size for less amount (and features lol)

So far I’ve noticed my 14 Plus getting significantly better signal than the 13 Pro Max I had.
My 14 pro is significantly better in signal quality than my 12 pro who’s signal quality was simply terrible. Much faster download speeds as well

i went from the 13 mini to the 14 Plus. and all i can say is.. Beautiful screen & incredible battery life. its a beast for sure. anyone who is upgrading from an 11 or older don't hesitate to get this phone
The IPhone 14 plus is a straight up scam it’s just the iPhone 14 but bigger and has a longer battery I rather just buy a IPhone 13 pro max it’s so much better
I like the 14 Plus for its *VERY* long battery life per charge and larger screen. I would consider a 13 Pro Max but didn't Apple stop production of the 13 Pro Max so it may have soon harder to buy new?
They did, just bought a 13 pro for my wife and the store employee said they ain't getting anymore of them so if I also want one I'll have to go to the 14 pro instead.

Not sure how it’s a scam. I’ve got the iPhone 14 plus and I went for it because of the colour. The red looks amazing and the Pro lineup is very conservative with regards to colours. The 14 plus is also just fun to use. My partner has a 14 pro max and it’s heavy and just not as fun to use in my opinion.

Since this phone launched late and the 14 pro models and regular 14 launched on time with its hype, the 14 plus was easily forgotten. If it launched alongside the 14 models then it would probably do okay but the 14 Pro Max would’ve outsold the 14 plus
This phone is amazing and beautiful! I got the 14 plus in white and it’s battery life is ridiculous! I go two days without charging it and I use it throughout the day. I upgraded from a 7+, to returning a refurbished pro max 11 (that came with a broken ear speaker) , to this brand new beauty and hopefully she will last me a long time. I think she just might.

If I had a 12 or 13 iPhone, there is no way I’d upgrade -it’s not worth it. However, I currently have a 10 and the spec bump will be fine for what I’m paying. Battery size, nits, camera all upgrades for me but if you have a 12 or 13, wait for the next model because there’s not enough in 14 to make it worth it for you.
I think the 14 plus will sell better than the mini because of the larger screen although here in the UK it’s £949 which in my opinion is steep and as you say for a 60Hz screen that is bad for the price you pay for, but on the flip side there would be many people so don’t care for that sort of thing and just want to get the job done.
Why med range phones get want you paid for and got a Samsung A52s 5g and still going strong 120hrz snapdragon 778G chips 2 things I look for now in a phone 120hrz and a soild chipset

That's what I think: in your country it costs 899$ but here in Ukraine or in any other country you will get a bigger price of that because of taxes and retailers who want to eat food so in Ukraine it costs 1256$ and for this price or even less like the price of a simple iPhone 14 I would definitely choose any android phones for a less prices and better specs like 120 hz refresh, higher brightness and with a normal usb c instead of a dead lightning. In conclusion an act of Apple's hypocrisy about their "no charger for the ecology" seems pretty funny in fact that they have admitted a few years ago about their downgrades in iOS updates to slow the battery life on an olds iPhones as we can see it with a new iOS 16. So apple just doing money on a stupid people. That's a fact. That's why all of not Pro iPhones are scam. They would not be a scam if they would have been not overpriced.
Apple in itself is a scam... who holds AOD hostage? That's the easiest thing to put on their whole lineup, not to mention 120hz.... like why only allow pro max to have AOD and 120 aside from the fact to hide it had no selling points aside from the "dynamic island" and 48mp otherwise. So they have to lower quality of their other phones to try and make pro max "worth the value"

I'm surprised to hear the iPhone 14 plus is doing worse in sales than the iPhone 13 mini. I get the month delay would have contributed, but I do see this will likely mean future iPhones will come in 3 models - regular, pro and pro max.

The main reason why it didn’t sell good was the price anytime a phone starts at $900 bucks there in flagship major specs category if it was $699 it would’ve done well I can hint say it would have been apple best seller because most people don’t want a pro heavy phone with a lot of features there not even going to use are know how to use like myself ima point n shoot kinda guy and the Dynamic Island means nothing to me and the 120 refresh rate doesn’t move the needle either apple lower the price

Me and my girlfriend each ordered the 14 Plus because the Pro Max was on back order from our carrier.. and these reviews are justifying our decision to go with the $200 savings we’re getting with the Plus. There just simply aren’t enough desirable qualities of the Pro Max that would make enough of a difference to pay that much more. We’re upgrading from the 11 Pro Max, so getting the lighter phone, bigger display size, and better battery life is already so much more appealing. Why pay $200 more when all those qualities are already there with the 14 Plus 🤔 I’m getting mine in product red as well, and I’ve never had a red phone (always preferred the black.) The red was never appealing enough for me to actually choose it over black, but now it’s much more vibrant and will be great. I also ordered the product red silicone case from Apple. 👍

I have the 14 Plus coming from a 13 Pro and did strictly for screen size and weight. I wanted the bigger screen without adding additional weight. Having the 13 Pro before I knew I didn’t use the zoom that much. I do notice the 60hz vs. 120hz difference but that’s not a deal breaker.
The battery is UNREAL and another reason I wanted bigger but not heavier. Let people choose what they want and keep it moving. Telling someone what phone they should get based on the features they may or may not use is pointless and entirely depends on their personal use case.

The only considering factor for me about the 14 pro max is the pro motion 120hz for gaming but I'll justify it has you can't play longer sessions on 90fps or 120fps as it will heat up and won't give stable performance after that. So I'll get the 14 plus
