I was 11 when I cried when Aerith died in 1997. I'm 37 and this scene ALWAYS makes me cry. And I LOVE the "look" she gives Cloud in the song

@@user-df8lp9zq8s, but when you think about it all versions make sense and suit the narrative. Even if you date tifa , aerith still glances at cloud when she sings the «until I met you »line . Than we don’t see his reaction to this , but we do see how he stares at aerith with a slightly open mouth in the beginning of her performance . Sure , he does hold tifa’s hand and the kiss still happens , but the lead up to it is very interesting . Cloud asks tifa about aerith and Zack , than she makes him believe that aerith indeed has feelings for Zack and only than the kiss happens . My interpretation : aerith made cloud feel something with her performance and cloud tried to grab the last straw and failed ( because of tifa ) . Only after that the infamous kiss happens . If I remember correctly, the almost (optional ) kiss with tifa happens in gongsga ( aerith is the most conflicted about her feelings about Zack at this point, and cloud is extremely jealous ) . Than and only than cloud decides to commit to tifa . Fans of tifa assume that I’m coping, but I believe that I provided substantial evidence. Furthermore , the last two chapters remain the same regardless of your choices . Aerith still confess to cloud and cloud still replies with «why not ». Than cloud and aerith hold hands . Melody of nptk plays during this particular scene . Character arc of cloud and aerith is obvious and remains constant regardless of player’s choice . It is about two people with very difficult backgrounds facing their true feelings and desperately trying to resist them ( they might realize them sooner or later , but the last few interactions of the game symbolise that they are finally at terms with their true emotions)

This song was absolutely written for Cloud and Aerith ❤ In fact the whole play was. LOVELESS. Because thats where they met. Loveless street and the lyrics of the song talk about it.

Because she is singing for Cloud, there is already full version of song with lyrics and there is no way to make it about Zack . She is even singing about "their" street and their place is a church, she said it in the end of the game

I don't think Aerith met Jessie or Biggs. I only know she met Wedge, so I was surprised the 3 of them was there.

Song is more about Zack than Cloud. You absolutely cannot change my mind. Since it mirrors the conclusion of Loveless, longing to meet your love again bla bla bla, Zack would be the only person she would be waiting to see. Plus, she’s very emotional afterwards and it’s not because of the trio she barely knows. The only way this would be a clerith song is in a clerith play through, but the lyrics fit Zerith a lot more.

The lyrics mention Aerith meeting Cloud at their street (Loveless street) where they first met, as well as their place which is her church. Plus she talks about taking her hand and not letting go which has always been a key feature of her and Cloud and it also mirrors a line from Hollow in Remake, which was Cloud singing about Aerith
How can you even think its about Zack when even Loren Allred said its about Aerith's relationship with Cloud
@@youngclueless7364 Loren Allred didn’t write the song. Given the nature of the game, you can choose who Cloud romances, it’s a song that can have different meanings. In a clerith playthrough, it’s about Cloud, with the lyrics supporting it. In a non-Clerith playthroughc it could be about Zack as Aerith’s feelings for him are present within the story and the lyrics talk about being apart, which clearly she’s around Cloud in the game.

The dead giveaway was when she said until I met you, she glances right over at Cloud, not Zach
The devs creators of ff7 could come out and say Aeriths song is about Cloud and you would still find a way to convince yourself it’s about Zack so it’s a complete waste of time trying to convince someone like you
