Super smooth video, I'm changing my control head in my 04 and will go ahead and replace bulbs at the same time..... thanks!
The 3rd led where you need to unscrew 2 bolts. The size is different from the other 2. It doesn't fit 😆
Im gonna do this, my lights are pretty dim, orange. The blue looks dope 👍
I have those knobs but in blue that I took of for my white plastic knobs
Yo this is a dope ass mod, gonna go green with mine!
Very helpful, thank you.
Thank you for the tutorial video.
I have XB05.
My Dash lights& gear shift lights are both gone for a while and I was hoping if I try exactly like you did, I will have my dash lights back, but I didn’t have a luck…. (I’ve flipped the directions of new LED bulb like you did and tried a few times)
If it’s not the bulb, what else could it be..?
Does anyone has any idea?
( I’ve had a shop guy replace the light bulbs before but only one side were working and lasted only a month. I thought LED might work better but no luck.)
check some fuses for any wear, and tap on your dash where the lights are out, may be a loose connection as well. mine comes on after tap or two.
Awesome
I tried to mod them before but it didn't work so I ended up just getting a junk part from an Xa to fix my issue
what about the third light bulb(for to buttons)being a different size??
All three HVAC knobs are the same size. The A/C button is different, but I didn't change that one.
Thanks for sharing! It looks great! Did you use the blue leds or the ice blue?
I used blue
Do you know what bulb goes for the backlight of the speedometer?
I haven't done the LEDs for that but I think they are all the same size as the odometer LEDs.
Bought the same kit lights didn’t work the size wasn’t right they went it but damaged trying to lock them in place and the top one is smaller than the rest 🤷🏽♂️ so no go luckily they were cheap
I just looked up the link and it says this does not fit the 2006 XB
Where did u get your side mirrors with the lights ? I wantnto do the same to my car.
I found them on a RS 2 scion xB at a junkyard.
Can you show me a picture of the LED light because I think they sent me the wrong one I wanna see what yours look like
I dont have any loose LEDs but the video shows a close up of what it looks like. The base should be 10mm. You sometimes have to be patient with it and lightly push down as you turn.
Where did you order the lights from or do u have a number. I can't find them
Amazon

Amazon says these do not fit 2005 xb.
Amazon algorithm is referencing oem bulbs not LEDs so it will say they don't fit. These were the LEDs I used for the HVAC knobs
Where did you get those knobs?
Off of ebay, type scion xb a/c knobs
Order from ebay same exact knob with a plastic tube connected to it. when I tried pressuring it in there is no way it will fit hangs out 1 inch, the plastic tube kinda broke off a little now I can't return it 😅 😆🤣
the od too?
Haven't done that one.
Are these ice blue led color ?
No, just blue LEDs.
You didn't mention the bulb that has to be changed for the AC button is a different size than the heater control knob, it's smaller
I didnt end up changing that light. I like it a different color in my opinion.
No way!!! Can we get red?
Yes, the link in the description has numerous colors
The top led isint the same size as the buttom 2
I dont remember buying a different size. I had changed them in 2018. If the T4 is too big then it is a T3 with a base of 8mm.
This was the case with my '06 xB as well... Upper bulb required T3, lower bulbs both were T4.
they don't work it's no plug and play you have to widen the hole to make the bigger bulb fit and solder the connection due to the placement of contact on the bulb.
The LEDs are polarized so they go in a certain way as explained.
