I Heard It Through the Grapevine was was in written in 1967 by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong for Motown Records. It was first recorded by Gladys Knight, the most famous recording is by Marvin Gaye and also covered again by Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1970, this is my favourite version of this song,
