how to solve laptop suts down when charger is removed- while battery is working fine

- when laptop gets shut down. as we removed charger.
till charger is connected, battery shows 100 charging, but gets shut down as you remove charger,
if battery is fine , by this simple ways you can fix the problem.
go to device manager. and click batteries .
right click on batteries
Dont forget to increase playback speed

Dell. It's not working. The battery started charging but when I unplugged the charger it shut down and wouldn't turn on unless I plugged the charger.
Zipho it means battery problem..you have to replace it.

I was extremely skeptical about this. But it does actually work.
I live in my truck in Colorado. Lately it has been fluctuating between 90 degrees in my truck during the day to well below 20 degrees at night. I thought this was the cause of my Dell G7 turning off when I unplugged it. I thought I'd have to replace my Dell G7 after owning it for only 5 days. Thankfully, this video saved me $1,300.

After trying many other battery management settings, THIS WORKED FOR ME! It might not work for everybody, it depends what caused the error in the 1st place. Give it a try, its worth it.
After enjoying the battery for a bit, it turns out it cannot provide a steady flow of current on high demand (anything more than running youtube). Consider hardware failure as well.

I havent tried this method yet but my problem is if i try to turn on the laptop without the charger it will never turn on even if its fully charged and sometimes more often than not it automatically turns off when i unlplug the charger

It's not a permanent solution. For those who have a non removable battery, search for a tiny hole at the back of your laptop. Reset the battery by inserting a pin into the hole and pressing it for 30s and then turn on laptop with charger connected and stay in the bios menu for about 30 minutes. My problem is solved.
Dude I have a Acer laptop and I called them with another issue with my battery fps drops and stuff and they told me to put the pin in the hole in back I did that I kept the pin inside for like 30 seconds and took it out after that I turned on with charger plagued in but turns off when I take off charger

I tried it, my laptop stayed on without a charger for about 20-30 seconds then it turned off. It didn't really fix the problem.
If I put my mouse on the baterry icon it shows that it will only last for 3 mins even if my battery is full, and it won't even last 3 mins.

Your solution was temporary. After few times switching on or off, problem came back. Did everything I could think, until I removed the BIOS battery for a minute (Re-set BIOS). Problem now is a thing of the past. This is a thing for all of you to try when all the other "solutions" are exhausted.

Asus tech investigated this: Suggested to send laptop back for service (for a charge), and probably they will replace the battery (for more charges). I bought a new battery and replaced myself. Problem persists! I updated all drivers, including BIOS to latest version. Problem solved! But 2 days later, problem came back! Did everything suggested by the many "advisors" here in UA-cam. No good, including deleting and re-installing battery drivers in device manager. At last, I stumbled on this simple solution. It Works!! How come?? Is Asus not supposed to know? And what is the theory of this solution?

I had the same problem, here is the only way to fix it: 1. Go to device manager 2. Double click on battery 3 Right-click on Microsoft ACPI - Compliant control method battery 4. Uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control method battery (Don't worry, that is the problem) 5. Restart your computer and let everything load for about 5 minutes, then unplug your computer, your problem is solved. This worked for me, good luck!

Yes, uninsalling it has proved to be a permanent fix for me. Let me know if just disabling it works for you, just for the sake of new knowledge. Keep in mind that those settings should be revisited in the event the problem returns after a windows update.

If your laptop dies when you pull the charger cable out but the battery says 100%, It's because the battery pack has failed.
