Sweet combo! I built my Sigilist with a thematic focus: Explosive Runes and Furious Quill of course... Wall (I built a transparent wall of glowing runes)... and Bridge (a huge unrolling scroll).
Thanks Max, glad to hear I've got you interested in Sigilists! I've found that with their aligned schools (Enchanter, Illusionist, and Thaumaturge), there's a lot of different options for them.
Seems interesting. I will have to try and remember this build for next time we start new Wizards. It would certainly be something different from my usual (it doesn't even have heal...)
I seem to always take Heal myself. But going without it opens up a lot of options with Thaumaturge spells. I’m glad to hear the video may be inspiring a Wizard build!
Yep, you can use it on any weapon as long as it isn't already magical. If used on a Bow or Crossbow, it grants +1 Shoot, however it doesn't inflict Magic Damage (for Creatures immune to normal weapons). But you can target a single Arrow for a one-time +1 Shoot Magic Attack.
There are some great ideas, but you seem to really like Fast Act. It is not a spell that I ever bothered with. Using up a wizard's spell, just to make one warrior act a bit faster seems pointless, when the wizard can usually do more damage with another spell than any one soldier. I love Write Scroll. Great spell and so useful. I am really liking your builds.
I think I chose Fast Act here just because it casts easy for a Neutral spell. It can good utility spell - allowing a ranged Soldier to fire before a target can move to cover or charging a Bear into combat with a Spellcaster before they can act. It's also great if you lose the initiative roll - especially to help a Treasure Hauler get away from a pursuing enemy. Write Scroll is a pretty amazing spell, opening up a lot of options - plus it's just fun a thematic having Spellcasters making their own scrolls.
I just started a campaign with this build, named him petey the flasher Lolol Any advice for countering mind control heavy builds? It’s massive in my group I know my bear is resistant and I will soon be getting a barbarian, but I’m worried someone I’ll kill my wizard with one of my own
Glade to hear you’re using the build! Dispel and Spell Eater would be my main advice to counter Mind Control. Setting up your Base in a Brewery can help boost everyone’s Will, and a Bard (Thaw of the Lich Lord) can help a little with this as well. Also, going with Barbarians, Rangers, and Treasure Hunters with their higher than average Will can be helpful. And Men-at-Arms instead of Infantrymen for standard Soldiers not only gives a Soldier with higher Will, but they don’t cause +2 damage against your own team - and they’re harder to kill - which means they’ll tie up an enemy Spellcaster’s MC longer or be more likely to eventually resist the spell before they die.
Seems like a really nice combo! Can anyone tell me if successful cast spells, that are below 14 (then be treated like a 14), be empowered? For example I succeed Blinding light on a 10 and the spell is treated like a 14. Can I started the empowerment from 14 on or do I have to start at 10 if I chooses to empower the spell? If I could start at 14 it would be really nice, then I would only have to sacrifice 4 Heath to get to an 18. Can anyone tell me? In our gaming group we have different opinions on that. Kind regards
I think I might have just answered your question on Facebook.😂 But I'll state it here too: Yes, low rolls can be Empowered, but from the Roll # not from 14 (so turning the 10 into a 15 would require 5 Health).
Enjoyed, bing watching
Thanks for watching Monster Painter!
Awesome build. I think write scroll opens up lots of fun options. Like a time walk build or any high casting dc spells. Great work! Excited for more!
You can definitely do a lot with the Write Scroll spell!
Sweet combo!

Thanks! That’s a cool idea to represent the Wall and Bridge spells thematically on the table like that.
Nice summary, looking forward to the others to compare them all.
Awesome! I’ll be releasing a Necromancer build next week.
LOVE THE TITLE!!!!!! Neat idea!!!!! Its like theamed check of cards:)
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the title! I’m planning to give each of the builds a name that goes along with their strategy.
@@bricksblocksgaming8017 AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Interesting build, I like it. Never played a sigilist, but this is a tempting idea.
Thanks! I’ve found Sigilists are fairly versatile with Write Scroll opening up a lot of options with harder to cast spells, and their aligned schools.
Great series Alan. I've never played a sigilist and this video has piqued my interest!

Does the Enchant Weapon spell work on every weapon in your war band?
