I've been asked several questions in regards to a silk press and showing a Course texture being straightened. I tried to upload a few old clips just to show you guys that the texture is really not that big of a deal, the process is the same for all. Rather its 4c, 4b, or 4a (which are all NOT professional terms, they were made up by someone and everyone just ran with it, but that is a whole other rant) ;) TECHNIQUE and PRODUCT knowledge are the keys to a amazing silk press.
STEP ONE starts at the shampoo bowl- Sulfate Free Clarifying shampoo, Sulfate free moisture rich shampoo then deep condition under dryer for 10-20 min
STEP TWO apply a heat protectant, leave in smoothing hair cream and light weight oil in sections. (Such as the Chi silk infusion line or Aveda smooth infusion line)
STEP THREE blow dry as straight as possible and begin to straighten.
