Imagine what that ship could do if the techs from other franchises were included, like shields, ftl comms, better power plants so to support directed energy weapons, and so on.
@@patryn36 shields and ftl comms and sensors would be fantastic additions to the ship, but don't forget she was equipped with AP canons. Tbh, I doubt you'd need a better power plant (or even be able to upgrade it using tech from most franchises)
@@218Ranger cannons are typically very short range, excluding artillery obviously. As for the power plants, the more toys you try to run the more power they will take, almost always you can never have too much power or power sources. Also, think of Rommie or Doyle upgraded with positronic neural nets, or the Andromeda computer core upgraded with a few choice bits from star trek or such. I have not seen the series in its entirety but even replicators, not the sg1 variety, would be a game changer.
I was made to understand , whether true or not, Roddenberry WANTED to have a series like this a long time ago, but because most people could barely even relate to Star Trek, it had to wait.
One thing I wish is that someone would make an Andromeda fan film. It does'to have to follow Andromeda. Maybe 15 years after the series ended, and with other ships like an Eterna Vigilance class (LRS) like the Renewed Valor, or DSX attack ship.
so underrated. not only was the glorious heritage class beautiful to look at, but fully equipped, she's one of the baddest ships in sci fi
