All models are perfectly done, especially vorlon dreadnought. And that vorlon homeworld. It something, really something. And the moment when it flies after to help...
This reminded me of one of the things B5 did for me which very few other sci fi shows did: alien tech is not functionally the same as human equivalent. Keeping in mind that a lot of the human weapons were probably based on Narn ones, there is a feel of older empires have advanced tech even if its relatively minor stuff, like how humans don't have artificial gravity except through spinning ships and Minbari stealth tech jams a lot of human systems (at least during their war).
The Narn weapons are based on centari or are straight up older centari weapons so in a lit of ways it’s the same for several of main races and most races at this time have artificial gravity drives. But I agree with your premise.
@@tarn1135 Agreed, though I don't think you see what most of the minor races do for weapons. I started watching TOS recently, and they did it pretty well too. The Romulans have extremely strong weapons and stealth, but don't have anything remotely as good as the warp drive.
It is puzzling that the Minbari can interfere with targeting when in fact the technologies should differ and not even be known to them however primitive they are in comparison to their own. Jamming requires intimate knowledge of the enemies weapon systems. Even with our own weapon systems, interfering with radar tracking is very different from interfering with heat tracking and both are very different from laser painting.
Very enjoyable. Vorlons saved the day. I love how Vorlon ship just absorbed the energy fired against it. I would though that the planet destroyer would try to escape to hyperspace when Vorlons arrived but maybe it’s hyperdrive was damaged from previous hits.

Ahhh, the Vorlons. Much respect. They always really impressed me in the series, and struck me as the kind of people you want to be friends with and do NOT want to be your enemy.
The visuals are nice and the music was fine. The original Earth Force ships seemed to be driving past the big targe...err... ship. It was like they wanted to show their sides to the cutter beam to slice them in too while their shots went past the enemy. Then other groups started coming in, but nobody every tried to go for a joint strike / time on target attack run to dump everything into the center hub at once. And if they'd driven one of the blue angel Mimbari cruisers into the core, that could have done enough damage to reduce the bad guy ship, vs. just chipping off the star tips. Swooping space battles with varied tempo are cinematic, but they aren't smart tactics. And if your enemy has a massive cutter beam that will cut your ship up at close or far ranges, and our firepower is going to be more effective close in, then do a dance around the enemy ship at close proximity, don't show your back and don't create separation by flying directly away shouting 'cut me down!'. And given that you can use thrusters as well as main engines on the Earth ships anyway, you missed the death orbit move - you turn your main batteries to the big ship, you use your main drive and the thrusters to orbit the big ship with your smallest target profile and your heaviest weaponry are on target all the time. It's pretty, but it could have been more sensible and coordinated and have made an even better video. In any event, it's better than I could do on my best day, so props for that. 🙂

From a tactical standpoing can anyone explain why no one was focusing on destrying the energy weapons first instead of non critical ends of the ship?????
The whole thing has the tactical sense of cruisers all circling in Olympic sized swimming pools whilst peppering each other with seawhizzes. Not very reasonable, but it looked cool as hell! Babylon 5 was sorely let down by execs and show runners on the show after it finished. How it's not been rebooted given its quality, however, given how awful most reboots are, deconstruct everything, misgender, race, turn babyfaces to heels etc I'm glad it's been left.

Only criticism - the Earth Alliance capital ships were all Nova class ships. Those turreted twin plasma cannon are so powerful the ship cannot alpha strike and maintain the drives - they coast when they fire. None of them even tried, even after they saw their enemy could one-shot them. Bit disappointing, that. Otherwise, excellent piece of work!
That's a true Babylon 5 fan was fantastic brings be back to the shadow war i miss that sci-fi masterpiece not sure about this reboot they r talking about can't beat perfect
Loved the video but have to comment: any time I watch smaller craft fly over an large enemy ship (like the White Stars here for instance - and this is not a criticism of the video but of the designers of the original ship), I wonder why they don't have any downward firing weapons. They spend enough time on the flyover that firing down on it would make sense. Works only in a smaller vs larger ship, like in this case, but putting some kind of advanced "bomb bay" in the base of the White Stars that dropped or fired some kind of missile or energy weapon at the ship as it flew over it, would cause a lot more damage that just the shots from the initial frontal attack. From B-5 to Star Wars to Star Trek, they always make this mistake (though Star Trek ships do usually have 360º of phaser coverage, they never show them firing at targets above or below them. Two dimensional thinking indeed.).
True that about the two dimensional thinking. I would go more for energy than projectile weapons for that function since projectile weapons require a certain number of moving parts which need maintenance and have a history of malfunction. And having projectile weapons would most likely require those projectiles to be protected from energy weapons penetrating the hull & that magazine would eat up volume and add mass which it might be better to use for systems which have a better cost/benefit ratio in the realms of mass and internal volume.
In the main series we actually see Starfuries flying over a Centauri Battleship just like that, and they flip to point their forward guns downwards while still coasting forward, and absolutely wrecked the bigger ship. Any small but maneuverable ship, like the White Stars here, should be able to do the same thing. Only a big, lumbering ship that cannot turn around fast, like, say, an Omega Destroyer, would need special "down" pointing weapons placements. A small but maneuverable ship can concentrate its available energy on making its main forward weapon(s) as powerful as possible, and just flip its axis in battle to shoot in whatever direction it wanted to.
Dunno chief... Asking for the Vorlons to come through and help just reopens the door for the justification for another Shadow War. Shadows - See! See!!! They still need us to grow stronger! They arent ready yet to walk without us! We need to continue to foster them through the ways of chaos!
@@SpacialKatana lol yea I read through the comments and saw that the Shadows were behind this attack. I guess its fair game for the Vorlons to get involved then.
Great work. One thing I noticed though is that the ships seem to scale differently to each other from shot to shot and the bigger ships seem to be flying around like fighters instead of capital ships. Still it's very beautiful work.
I love this video. Minbari Sharlins and EA Warlocks do a lot of damage, but its still fighting. Good ole Vorlons help save the day, The alien mothership (Shadow tech?) should have retreated while it still could. Bablyon 5 fan fiction is still going strong!

Whoever the Big Star people are...the Vorlon sure did make short work of them...
So they needed Vorlon help to finish off Space Soviets? Pathetic...
Its a Starfish with a Lazer wang!
Another great video keep up the good work 👏
Only criticism - the Earth Alliance capital ships were all Nova class ships. Those turreted twin plasma cannon are so powerful the ship cannot alpha strike and maintain the drives - they coast when they fire. None of them even tried, even after they saw their enemy could one-shot them. Bit disappointing, that. Otherwise, excellent piece of work!
They came steaming in all 'back of the bus' in typical human style, and got torn a new one :D
If the enemy can destroy Minbari dreadnoughts, it's time to call in the big boys to do the smackdown ... Vorlons ahoy!!!
and now I will be saying "Vorlons ahoy!" all weekend ;)
That's a true Babylon 5 fan was fantastic brings be back to the shadow war i miss that sci-fi masterpiece not sure about this reboot they r talking about can't beat perfect
So that Vorlon ship just rolled in slice them in two and kept moving
And if Warlock used GOD cannons, it would be over way sooner, but no, shity Vorlon ship needed to "save" Young Races...
That's how the Vorlons roll.
This was excellent. I always wondered if there would be a ship or two that could be called up for help.
That was Cool ! You warmed this ol' B5 fans heart...
This was really good. Great job. Really....capture B5.
Great fight :-) the ISA did pretty well to be fair :-)
Excellent work!
awesome!!!
but why warlock don't use his aegis canon?
Nice work, very well done 👍
Like always, when the big kids play in the sandbox. The little kids better get out of the way.
Dunno chief... Asking for the Vorlons to come through and help just reopens the door for the justification for another Shadow War.
Shadows - See! See!!! They still need us to grow stronger! They arent ready yet to walk without us! We need to continue to foster them through the ways of chaos!
...and I just finished texturing a Shadow Whitestar, things are gonna get ugly around here someday soon [pic in community tab].
No turret fire from the Earth Alliance ships.
@@MonkeyJedi99 The Hyperion did.
The Vorlons: ha! You still need us! _Coming back from the expel. Wasted._
"Only cuz we softened it up for ya" 😛
That was top notch!!! Thanks buddy....
Wow! And then this ship came with a bigger lazer!! Or wooow! And then that other ship came! It had an even bigger lazer! Omg wow!
That is how it usually works when you don't have overwhelming number. You need bigger guns.
@@nguyep4 Yes, very deep complex story. They should make a series of Homeworld instead. That's a truly great story with space ships
I love this video. Minbari Sharlins and EA Warlocks do a lot of damage, but its still fighting. Good ole Vorlons help save the day, The alien mothership (Shadow tech?) should have retreated while it still could.
Bablyon 5 fan fiction is still going strong!
Considering Warlocks have 2 mega cannons at the front of the ship, based on Vorlon weapons, suprised didnt use them.
I wanted to challenge myself to put missiles into the scene, they're a bit harder than a glowy tube to set up. If you actually supported the channel rather than making pithy comments you'd have already seen the Warlock rip a Drakh cruiser a new one. But, you're probably a juvenile in an adult body, or the other way round. I care not :)
@@SpacialKatana with a name like "Ancient Ally" I almost expected it to be a crossover where the "ancient ally" would be a Lantean Aurora-class warship 😛
Not Shadow tech, as opposed to "The Hand". Another member of the 1st ones that were supposedly far worse than The Shadows.
@@ascelot This GOD Particle Beam cannons the Warlocks have aren't based on Vorlon weapons as far as I know. They are homegrown Earth-unique human tech.
