Wow, I think you played that cleaner than Paul did!
I know his bass had humbuckers but I actually think those Hofner blade pickups are better sounding.
Wow thank you so much!!
Paul actually played his Rickenbacker on something.
@monovision566 nice!
Гэри Тэйн круче был.😊
brownie much lol.
I keep coming back to listen to this, such a great cover, you have amazing talent!
Thank you so much! It means a lot!
You are so talented and so beautiful. It's such a joy to watch this.
Thank you
McCartney is an amazing bassist. This is such an incredible bassline - unbelievably creative - a total counter melody.
He really is one of the best
@@AveryBlackheart ...and you play it really well!
@PaliGap1 Thank you!
Nice bass cover. A 75 y/o Beatles fan here watching from Michigan.
Thank you! And thank you for tuning in!
What an amazing bass line. Paul McCartney is the best
He really is one of the GOATs
Da fuq was he smoking?
Paul was told by George to change his original line because it was too busy. 1st time he ever listened to George
@@AveryBlackheart a song within a song. He and the other UK goat's learned this from American R and B and gospel.
Paul died 1966.
Where can I even begin on this video! Your tone is amazing. Your attention to detail is stunning. The fact that you’re mouthing along to the vocals that are a completely different rhythm to the bass is mind boggling. You fucking rocked that!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate it
Every time I hear these song they just take me away with it. Avery, that was really really good playing. Don't stop because it's in your soul.
Thank you!
Probably the most complex and the most thought, most detailed bassline of any The Beatles' song or even of any popular songs, the notes choice, the phrasing, dynamic, sound, interplay, contrapunctal and all - but very beautiful indeed.. and the complexities/busy-notes doesn't ruin the beauty of the song, unlike a busy bassline usually does to a simple pop song. Genius of Paul McCartney bass work on the genius of The Beatles as a band and of course George Harrison as the writer of the beautiful song, and all of them who involved. Great, Avery Blackheart, you play it perfectly good and I think it'd be easier to learn the bass of the song from this video of yours than by listening to the original record haha. Thanks
Thank you! I learned the song from a video by Lefty Bassman! He has the tabs up while he plays, and it really helped me learn it
Old Brown Shoe also has a bass line worth checking out.
That was fantastic!!!
Huge McCartney fans here.
Thank you!
I never noticed how busy this bass part is. I guess that's the genius of McCartney. When I get that busy I'm obnoxious, when he does it, it's a hit song.
It really is an insane bassline
Other busy bass players... Rocco Prestia from the Tower of Power and James Jamerson from Motown
A song definitely written by a bass player. You seemed to have been a bit relieved to have made it through, I would be. @@AveryBlackheart
heh I was just thinking about this exact thing. Some critic saying it was too busy or sm. I didn't even notice until they pointed it out
@Frank-yb2hw George didn't want it as busy as it was, but I think the bassline really boosts the song
Great job Bud. It's nice to see your generation appreciates great music. Cheers
Thank you!
What a nuts bassline! Brilliant interpretation and a thing of joy! Thanks
Thank you so much
I really enjoy watching this. Please do more Beatles songs.
I'm glad! I'll try to get some more Beatles tunes up for you
I started playing bass 2 years ago. The day I can play this the way you did I'll consider myself a bass player. Just amazing. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Keep playing! You'll get there in no time
Песня божественная!
И простая и сложная
Необыкновенный лиризм и улёт в бесконечность.
Бесподобное сопровождение басовой партии.
Что тут сказать- гении. Молодость...
Все молодцы !
2:18 i love that bassline with my soul
It's a great bit of work
Iconic baseline. And what got me into bass world
It's definitely one of my favorites!
Excellent performance! Love it
Thank you
El bajo más elaborado de toda la historia de la música moderna.
---
The most elaborate bass in the history of modern music.
Thats really WOW, a great bass cover and amazing played
Thank you so much!
Although George said Pauls' bassline in Something was too busy, I thought Paul did a phenominal job and it blended well with song adding a feel to it. It' became an instant hit in the back in the 70s
I agree! I think it blends beautifully with the song
Came across your video. Glad I did. Very well done, Avery. I play this song as well. Loving the Hofner! Great job!!!
Thank you!!
You are absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see how many likes and views you continue to get! Looking forward to your next masterpiece!!!!!
Thank you so much!
❤👏👏👏👏👌
Nailed it! Beautifully done. ❤ 👌
Thank you!

Would love to hear 'Goodnight Tonight' by Wings or 'Jesamine' by The Casuals. Great bass lines
I'll give them a listen!

🤗🥰😍
Damn boy, that was really well done. Thank YOU.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it
Bonito Hofner Bass, es como el que ya encontraron con 60 años de antiguedad.
Big clap! Melody up the wazoo, has our Paul. Good job!
Thank you!
Басовые партии сэра Пола - они восхитительны! Недаром он входит в число лучших бас-гитаристов мира - гармония и мелодика - она просто, потрясающая! P. S. Спасибо за исполнение! ❤
Thank you! Paul is definitely one of the GOATs!
Great job! Crystal clear and clean!
Thank you!
In my opinion this is one of the best bass lines ever. It elevates a beautiful song and adds the secret sauce to it. It's almost like it's a duet with the guitar especially during the solo part. You played this better than anyone I've seen in real life and I've seen quite a few play it.
Thank you so much for the kind words! It's one of my favorite basslines by far
Well done ... Fantastic
Thank you
One of my favorite bass lines.
Same!
MAESTRO !!! Mis respetos. Excelente cover.
Thank you!
Hi Avery,
Perfect bass cover of this iconic George Harrison composition ... Loved it from start to finish!
Best wishes, James (Golden Street Music)
Thank you so much
Excellent performance. 👏🙌
Thank you!
Great playing!!!
Thank you!
One of the most perfect basslines ever. Melodically impeccable. Good job, thanks!
Thank you!!
So well done. Awesome.
Thank you!
Now that's how ya do it!
Thank you!
Well played, thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Absolutely fantastic! It's a complex piece for sure. I used to be in a Beatles tribute band and this song was one of my favorites. One song I NEVER could get the hang of is Hey Bull Dog. I can play it and sing it, but not the same time ha. It's a tough one with too many syncopations for me. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite is another tough one but we never tried that one......cheers and keep enjoying great music.
Thank you!
No worries about playing and singing them at the same time. The singing was Johnny's job!
Hey, hello....well, there's a fair amount of Paul harmony on Hey Bulldog. That bass is so busy and moving around it was really hard for me to do anyway....cheers@@obbor4
Tu cover me puso muy triste y nostalgico. Es simplemente hermoso, felicitaciones 🎉
Just perfect :)!
Thank you!
Very we'll played.
Killer bass part
Thank you!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
This is great! actually a tad smoother than Paul on the recording haha.
Also nice aesthetic, takes me back to my freshman year of high school.
Thank you!
1970s hofner amazing I had the same
The bass line perfection 👌🏼
It's one of the best basslines out there
Super cool 😎

Hello from Arizona. Excellent job. Have subbed.

@@AveryBlackheart You Bet
PERFECT BASS

Solid!
Thanks
Beautifully done!
Thank you!!
WoW! - Perfect!🇺🇸💯💥🎯💥💯🇺🇸🙏
Fantastic. I love it
Glad you like it!
So much to unpack here. It's awesome that you were able to pick up on his variants on each verse and chorus. I've always loved this bass part (my favorite Abbey Road song!) Great job!!
Thank you!! It was honestly hard to memorize cause of the little idiosynchrasies he does in each verse, but it's well worth it
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly,
That's what I thought it said.
Anyway, I really like your style
I just bought a Hofner violin bass, and I'm learning.
Have fun with it! They're great instruments
супер!
Fantastic cover
Thank you!
Прикольна партія! Така проста і мелодична водночас. Маккартні - майстер баса!

Impecable ejecución de esta bellísima canción.

This and the baseline to Stevie Wonder’s Sir Duke are the ultimate for me.
I'll have to give a listen to the Stevie Wonder song. Something is definitely one of my favorite basslines!
@@AveryBlackheart search for ‘Alana Alberg sir duke’ for a great cover

Great job! You nailed it. 👏
Thank you!
Maravilha 🎉❤
Great job bro!
Thank you!
GREAT JUST GREAT, YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO SIMPLE BUT IT AIN'T WELL DONE 👍
Thank you!
A very good example of how Paul was a melody driven songwriter first… he also learned guitar first so it is very obvious he was influenced by lead guitar.
Exactly!
Great cover!!!
Thank you!!
Really nice clean cover, I'm also trying to work out the bass of the song as clean and precisely as possible. It's so melodic and creative. Again superb playing 😊
Thank you! It's one of my favorite basslines to play
Молоток! Всё чётко!!!
❤, bravissima
Well done.

Nice job!
Thank you!
Grande linea di basso !
Bravo miss, for your interpretation and especially for the "choice". If Paul has a capital interest for you, do not hesitate to analyze the bass lines of: She came in bathroom window, With a litle luck, Daytime nightime suffering, Another day, Getting closer, and many others master pieces ... Hello from France
I love Another Day. Silly Love Songs is also a favorite of mine for his basslines
@@AveryBlackheartThese two songs indeed have remarkable bass lines. That of silly love song can be compared to Goodnight tonight in its repetitious and melodic shema so inspired. The art of counterpoint (like Js Bach) is one of Paul McCartney’s immense bass talents, between 1965 and 1985 ...
Muito obrigado🥰
